hi - I just spent about 2 weeks looking for this fic and posted on bloodshedverse and seeking spike for help finding it. I am so glad I stumbled across it again! Please keep going, I love it!

At last one is starting to feel more comfortable about Spike being there now (Dawn). It doesn't look so good with Buffy *sigh*

Huh, seems a bit of Blame Spike for everything. I kind of side on the Spike Side if there are actually sides. Buffy's I love you was to little to late, he gave up hope for love being returned. Dawn....er Dawn the last time you talked to Spike you threatened to set him on Fire. Dru picked up mind control...neat trick...I am kind of scared what if she Mind controls a bunch of slayers? Scary thoughts and this is an interesting story.
Author's Response: There are two sides to every story. It is rather ambiguous. The whole pictures thing with Buffy, Spike and Dawn was supposed to give the impression that by the end things were okay (mainly because that how I thought it should go with when I watched the show, it killed me that Dawn and Spike never got close again). As for Dru, you'll just have to keep reading to see what crazy things will happen!

Author's Response: Well I added stuff about Spike and Dawn near the end of the 7th season to show it was a little different than how it started, but there will be a flashback I think. Also it's not necessarily the side I'm not, however Buffy is defensive and angry when she's been hurt so that's how she's acting. Some of her real feeling will come out in the supplemental fic for this as well, but all in good time for the truth to come out of the smokescreen

Maybe Spike should have talked to Buffy earlier - now he hurt her again. (Well it wouldn't have gone smooth anyway, telling Buffy that he slept with Harm.)
Author's Response: No it wouldn't have, and he hadn't really thought of it. I wouldn't be a Spuffy if I thought what happened between them mattered to him so I don't, lol. Therefore when trying to get buffy to talk to him, Harmony just wouldn't come to mind.

I'm inclined to agree with Buffy. It didn't matter if Buffy loved him or not when he stayed away for so long and slept with Harmony and probably other girls as well in the last two years. He was selfishly thinking only of himself. How in the heck he is going to be able to get out of this one? I mean she learns about this in front of EVERYBODY. That has to add to the hurt and betrayal. If I was Dawn, I'd give him such a talking to.
Author's Response: i don't think he slept with anybody else (at least I hope not, it doesn't jive with my Spuffy love). This is definitely helping with the angst but I love Spuffy and happy endings so you'll have to stay tuned to see how he gets out of this one.

Like the idea of throwing Connor into the mix. Love the idea of him getting drunk and talking about girls with Spike. And Connor is a pretty considerate kid to share all the right things with Buffy. Hope that eases the process of getting Spike back. Still wondering about the great evil... Update soon!

Author's Response: She's upset because of how he seemed to care before and now he didn't tell her he was back. There will be more to it as well but that will come a little later. The big bad will show up shortly in one incarnation or another. thanks for sticking with all the backstory!
