i like this first chapter. it's interesting, it put things in a different perspective.
in the show, buffy confess where she was to spike alone. but here, she realize that he is the only one she can really talk to, and ask for him... it's an improvement, isn't it?

Yeah, I remember The Underground (reading it).
Had Buffy indeed been in a hell dimension it would have good to bring her back.
This Buffy back from hell has other problems than a Buffy from heaven has. Hopefully she's right and talking with Spike can help.

So very different from canon, but very interesting.
Buffy was truly in a hell dimension, possibly for hundreds of years, and everyone is acting as if it were a minor thing??? Because she didn't become her old self immediately they think she came back wrong???
What a shallow self-centered group of people they have become. Or, maybe they always were???
But where has Spike been all this time? Why didn't he come back sooner? What did the dreams show him that made him stay away?
Looking forward to more of this story!!!
Author's Response: I rather think that the Scoobies are acting as they did when Buffy was pulled out of Heaven and they had no idea where she'd been -- they're subscribing to the belief that acting normal around Buffy will bring her back to a state of normalcy. And as for your questions about Spike...you'll just have to stick around!

Interesting start. This time she was in "hell", so yes, different premise. So Spike is gone for several months and Ethan Rayne has absconded with his money? Very different plot bunnies that you can weave and weft through the story. Look forward to your writing.
Author's Response: I have the two woven together in my mind; I hope to present it eloquently in this fic. Thank you for reading and reviewing!

Where's Spike? It's odd. Spike was the one who never left. What happened to him? Did he go get a soul early? I hope Spike and Buffy don't have a destructive relationship. Just love the Spuffy loving!
Author's Response: I wrote a previous one-shot called "The Underground" which explains why Spike left -- I know it's an odd concept, Spike leaving Sunnydale when he promised never to leave Dawn, but I think I had a fairly plausible set-up in my fic. And per your other point: I'm all about the Spuffy loving. No destruction here! Thanks for reading and reviewing. :)
