Very sweet... and quite possible. We never did see what that little scene developed into did we? All we knew was that Buffy had told Spike of her mother's illness and that she had to go into hospital for tests.

I have to wonder, and it's frustrating me, why do so many of you fanfic writers have Spike behaving the way you know he wouldn't on the show? Spike's not a wannabee bad boy like Pacey or even Logan from Vmars, he's really got some monster in him, you know?
Author's Response: I agree he's got monster in him, which is why he had gone to her place to start out with! One of the reasons we fanfic writers love Spike so much is that he has that wonderful contradiction of monster and man. Watching the show, you see that bad boy persona, but you also see that he does have that softer side. As you can tell, I love debating over things like this! Even though I may not agree with you, thanks for the comments!

K, I just had to review this one. Wow, for a first attempt at fanfic, you did a really good job. Your plot was very well thought out and you didn't rush the story but let it travel at its own pace. I truly enjoyed reading this fic. I hope that you continue to write, you certainly do have a great talent for it!
