Way too late to write much, but I really liked this chapter. Spike's mother was a nice touch for a choice, and her words about the Powers not being as forgiving. I hope the soul isn't the entire happy ending with Buffy, though.

I think I have underestinated the perspective of a Giles-centric story. Even if it's only for the opening chapter, we get to simply observe Spike's actions and guess at his thoughts. I am looking forward to the read and will schedule time to see how your tale develops.

Author's Response: I've written one Giles centric fic before and i have to say that it went places i didn't expect. He's fun to explore, but I find the Brits much easier to write. He doesn't really feature in the fic any more so i hope you enjoyed him while he lasted! Thank you for taking the time to read.
