Lovely, Xaph, absolutely lovely. And sweet (no pun intended)! You totally capture the Buffy of that time's voice ("... are you sniffing me?") and ya gotta love a bashful Spike.
Having had a Scots 'almost-mother-in-law' for nearly a decade, I am SO familiar with the tradition of getting drunk and fighting on Christmas! LOL! Especially as I was usually the only nearly/sober one there. I'm familiar with a big Trifle, but what exactly IS a Christmas pudding?

Author's Response: Hee, thanks! There's a pic of a Christmas pudding on the right hand side of the banner - it's a fruity, nutty, alcohol-y cake that is traditional at xmas time. Really good with cream :D I'm glad you enjoyed the fic :) Merry Christmas to you too!

I liked the bit of Britishness where he says Happy Christmas instead of Merry, details like that always make for an excellent read!
