pj! I remember wishing one of your stories would be finished seriously about a decade ago. Amazing. I just tried an old password I used to use and amazingly got in too. Memories!

As it should have been... sweet and tender.

Apart from chirality I like this one best... don't ask me why, because I have no idea... that said, I may change my mind when I re-rad The Underground.

xx

Author's Response: This was the first one-shot Spuffy fic I wrote, intended as a birthday gift for HollyDB...and posted about three weeks late, if memory serves.

Wonderful! I love that Spike is so hesitant and tenantive towards Buffy! That he is "fighting his inner poet"! AND may I say I am sooooo very happy that Buffy is showing that she has a brain cell for a change! ;) ~ Kelly

Author's Response: Thank you so much!

Just loved it. So very sweet of him. I'm glad she could see it for what it truly was, and her plan to reciprocate, even more goodness. Thanks for sharing.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for reading and reviewing.

A moving story-Buffy trying to make their "togetherness" work--a. promise? Acceptance?
Nice change from the depressed girl we saw in S 6. Good Job.

Author's Response: Yeah. S6 bothered me. A lot. I'm trying to do my part to make it hurt less. :P Glad you liked it!

Cute :) Spike brought her a bottle of bubble bath? Thoughtful. ~ And Buffy started to change.
Loved it :)

Author's Response: I really would have liked to have seen this in S6. An acknowledgement that both parties made mistakes. Ah, well. I'm glad you liked it!

Really great insight into the characters. Wish the show had played out that way.

Author's Response: You and me both! Thanks for reading and reviewing!

i hope u write a sequel to this :D

Author's Response: I'm not certain; I had always intended this to be a one-shot, a glimpse into how the future of S6 could be different. I'm glad you liked it, though!

I loved this so much. I could see it playing out in front of me as if watching it on the tv - always a good sign. Thank you so much.

Author's Response: You're very welcome! This is a scene from my own personal S6, wherein the characters weren't screwed up completely. :P Thanks for reading!

GASP! Where's my fluff? And my pRon? And why do half of these lines sound eerily familiar? Like...lines someone IM'd me and read to me over the phone?

:P *lubs*

Seriously, as far as Season 6 fics go (and you know how much I love those) this is the closest-to-canon story I've seen that even provides a smidgeon of realistic hope for Buffy and Spike. Your characterization was, as I've said before, just brilliant. And I loved the line: Whatever the reason, Buffy took a single step away from the door, her intention and message both abundantly clear. You can come into my house, but I will not let you in. ... as I believe I told you on the phone. Or on IM. However we were talking when you spoiled teased me.

*snuggles* Thank you, thank you, thank you for even thinking about writing me a fic. You're too sweet to me...considering that, even though we ARE long-lost sisters, we haven't known each other all that long. You really poured yourself into this (and then bitched about how hard it was... :P *gigglesnorts* I said "hard" ...) and it's incredibly evident with every word. And while I'm frustrated mourning the lack of teh!smut, you were completely right...it wouldn't have fit here. Not in the world you presented. And your annoyingly admirable tendency to stick to canon, whereas others me piss all over it, made this less a fanfic and more a scene that Joss neglected to give us.

So...yeah. I guess this means I loved it. Again, thank you SO MUCH for this, sweetie. You are MUCH too good to me.

*squishes*

Author's Response: Oh hush. I told you not to bemoan the lack of pr0n. And hey, this is as fluffy as the two can be in S6. At least, I think so. ...yeah. And I agree with your assessment. Should we get blood tests done? :P But seriously...I think I pour myself into most of the fic I write; I'm pretty sure it's why I go through partial- or total-burnout more than most authors I know. And you're very welcome, dear. Happy birthday. ::glomps::
