I really liked your story, I think it was well written and especially Spikes thought and feelings were believable. There is just one thing that is really not logical: You say this takes place in season six before Spike got his soul, on the other hand you talk about the Bringers, the First and the War. This is stuff that doesn't happen before way into season 7.
That' just something that makes you stumble while reading it.
But otherwise i really enjoyed your story :)
