This is a great story. I resisted reading it despite seeing recommendations everywhere because I hate to get caught up in something that may never be finished. But it was worth the read when I finally succumbed to curiosity and read it.
I'll add my plea to the others' in the hope that you haven't abandoned this fic permanently. If, sadly, you have, thank you for the riveting chapters that are available. :)

I thank you, and lots of others, for showing a continuing interest in BB. I really do know how bloody frustrating it is when the sodding writer doesn't update, honest, I do. But I really will finish this - especially as it is only the first part of a trilogy of stories - but can give you no definite timescale. My apologies for that. Just know that it hasn't been abandoned...merely neglected.

This fic is amazing in more ways that one. It makes you think and doesn't go by any of the old cliches that a lot of fics these days have. And i'm hoping that if just throw on lots and lots of praise you'll update quicker, so i can read more.... so please, pretty please with a cherry on top update very soon!!!

An outstanding piece of work. This fic has me enthralled. As a 'what if' of what might have happened if Spike had never escaped from the Initiative it is original and inventive and I WANT MORE!

Well, I just finished reading this again. I'm so sad that it still hasn't been updated because it is still by far the best fanfic I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Seriously good fic. Feel sorry for Spike but i was expecting the feeling so it didn't detract from the enjoying your story.
I look forward to seeing how you decide build Spike back into Spike and to find out why Angel was trying to get him also and what he'll try and do to convince Buffy she should give Spike up to him. I'm also thinking The Council has alot of power if they can make the US government nervous, so i'm sure they can fight Wolfram and Hart if it comes down to it.

Ok, this is the best Spuffy I've read. And I've read hundreds. I love Tailored encounters by IBE too, but yours is so intense that yes, I am your fangirl for life.
Thanks so much for the writing, I'd send you flowers, honestly. And beg you to continue as soon as possible. I read all this in one sitting one month ago, you referred me from Darker_Spike, I am sorry for not leaving feedback before, I never do, but this one just deserves it and so much more.
Awww. Ok, breath, stop`fangirling. Sorry, just love it too bloody much. What an excellent work on Spike characterization, I can see him acting like this if he had to face such treatment for years, it's William flowering raw. And Buffy, I am so glad you let her be tender and loving, she was too flinty to see him suffer in canon, she is better here but still in character. The emotional aspect is so powerful in the story. Hope to read this and many more from you. :)

It was worth the wait (well, if Buffy telling the commandos that "that one is mine" works that is). Sure hope Buffy gets to take Spike home soon. So what did the doctor find out about Spike, what is Buffy worried about that she hired the doctor? What will the commandos do with Angel/us (and I hope its very painful). More please.

This is a fantastic fic! Couldn't stop reading. Read it all in one sitting so my eyes are fried but it was so worth it. The plot is rivetting and then there is all the sub-plots going on and please get Giles out of that little dark room cuz that's just....... upsetting. Love all the demons and Willy in a significant role, cuz I always thought he was fun. More Willow and Tara with some kick butt mojo please. Most of all I love what's happening with Buffy & Spike. Spuffy lovin' soon...PRETTY PLEASE? Can't wait for the rest!
