Mate's Pain
Takes place during Willows spell, in Something Blue. Very Au from there. Starts when Willow is baking cookies after she has broke the spell and is feeling guilty. Buffy met Riley instead of Parker, and have been together, but nothing serious. Time lines and locations have been changed to help with the story. Set in season 4, but we have the magic box and the hotel Angel bought in Season 2 of Angel.
Warning: This story will talk about Rape, but will not actually be seen, as well as nudity with M/M/F, and Spike/other
Chapter 1
While pacing back and forth in Xander's basement, Willow rants on about Buffy and Spike, till she says "Well, fine. Why doesn't she just go marry him?"
Then her eyes glow blue.
******Back as Giles apartment. *****
Buffy is sitting in the chair that Spike was tied to while Spike is down on one knee holding her hand.
"It's just so sudden. I don't know what to say."
"Just say yes, and make me the happiest man on Earth."
"Oh Spike, of course it is a yes."
Spike pulls her down to him as he puts the skull ring on her finger, jumping up she runs over to Giles.
"Look Giles I'm engaged." She says with excitement in her voice.
"That's lovely My Dear." Giles says with fake enthusiasm, while thinking to himself: I'm blind and now my Slayer is engaged to Spike... there must be a spell.
"I know it is sudden, but I love him." Buffy says with sparkles in her eyes as she looks at Spike.
"Don't worry Watcher, I'll take good care of her. I have loved her from the first time I saw her, why do you think I could never kill her?"
"You do realise we are under a spell." Giles suggests to them.
"Oh poor, Giles, I am the Slayer, Spike is a Vampire. Spells can't affect us." She says as she walks back over to Spike and climbs on his lap.
Pulling her close to him, he says "Finally I get to kiss my future mate."
Then he kisses her till she is breathless.
Giving her time to breathe, "so when do you want to get married, luv?"
"Soon, I'd do it tonight if we could, I can't wait to be Mrs. Buffy the Bloody."
"Well we can't get married in the mortal way tonight, but we can get mated tonight. It is the demon form of Marriage." He informs her, as he kisses her again, hoping she will agree to the mating.
"What does it involve and when can we do it."
"It involves us making love and biting each other, to form a blood bond. As for being done, it can be done right now." He tells her.
"Isn't that great Giles, Spike wants to take me as his mate." She says as she starts to get off of Spike.
"Oh Dear Lord." Giles exclaims.
Going over and taking Giles hand, she asks. "What, what's wrong Giles?"
"Nothing my dear girl, nothing we can't deal with."
"Thank you Giles, Thank you for supporting this."
Getting back up and going back to where Spike is waiting by the stairs, she says. "We'll be back down in a few hours and then we will call Xander and Willow to help cure your blindness."
"Alright I'll just sit here and have a scotch or 2, see you in a couple hours."
"Don't drink to much Watcher; we might need you later to help with the undoing of the spell." Spike tells him as he starts to pull Buffy to his room.

2.5 hours later Buffy is just coming and she's not having a hard time walking? down the stairs with Spike as Xander and Anya come running in the door.
"What's he doing untied?" Xander asks pointing to Spike.
"Xander, Spike asked me to marry him and I said yes, so there will be no tying up of my future husband and mate."
"You do remember he is a Vampire?"
"Yes Xander, he is not the first Vampire I have loved."
Spike growls in the background at the mention of Angel.
"Are you forgetting he has tried to kill us all, not even a month ago?
"I only did it because I was fighting my love, for the Slayer here." Spike speaks up.
"What about Riley, Buffy?" Xander asks trying to get her to see reason, unaware that they are already mated.
"What about him, I was so not in love with Riley. Besides he doesn't have the right parts."
"I knew you needed a little monster in your man."
Buffy blushes and turns in Spike's arms. While she does that, her hair moves and exposes the bite on her neck.
Pointing to her neck, Xander says. "That's fresh; I thought the chip didn't let him harm a living thing."
"Xander he didn't hurt her, it's a pleasure bite, look how happy she is. I am sure he has given her many orgasms." Anya tells him.
Buffy's blush deepens, and Spike notices something.
"Umm, Watcher why do you have lots of different Demons in your courtyard?"
"Oh they are here for Xander, most of them are fighting to see who will win his love, and I am surprised you do not want him." Anya tells him.
"And why would they want the whelp?" Spike asks.
"Because Willow told him he was a Demon magnet." Anya simply states.
"Oh Dear Lord." Giles says.
"Giles what's wrong?" Buffy asks knowing when he says that it can't be anything good.
"Willow told me that I didn't see anything. And after that I started having trouble with my vision, 'till I was blind."
"She told me that Buffy and Spike should just get married." Xander says.
"It's quite clear that Willow has done a spell to have her will done." Giles tells the group.
"So how do we break it?" Buffy asks.
"I am afraid the only way to stop it is for Willow to break it." Giles tells them.
"So I'll just call her and tell her to come here, that there is something bad happening."
Buffy says as she walks over to the phone and dials up the number to their dorm.
5 minutes later, Buffy rejoins the group by sitting on Spikes lap.
"I got no answer, so I left a message to come as soon as possible."
"I believe, it would be wise to stay together, until Willow comes." Giles informs them.
"If you think I am going back out there, you are crazy."
"What's wrong whelp? Don't want the demons fighting over you?" Spike asks.

An hour later Willow, walks in through the back door of Giles flat.
"What is with all the fighting demons in the courtyard?" Willow asks.
"They all want Xander, ever since you called him a demon magnet." Anya tells
her.
"And I seem to have gone blind, since you told me I don't see at all." Giles added.
"I'm engaged, isn't that great." Buffy say holding up her left hand showing off the skull ring.
Seeing that her spell has gotten out of hand, Willow then says the words to break the spell.
