I'm a college student - originally loved the show, but stopped watching season 4 and then came back season 5. Loved Spike and came to love the whole series and understand it better beyond the obvious popularity of the first 3 seasons. I guess it's important to mention that the Spike and Buffy relationship was the thing that helped hook me back in ;) Color me convinced that Spike and Buffy are meant to be! I've been a fic reader since 2002 or 2003, and I'm a new writer as of Jan 2005. I love reviews - they are what keep me writing, so leave them!

I truly am dreading the sex scene I have to write, so I completely understand. I think it would have been better to have another chapter before this one to transition into this sudden spuffy, but I didn't think your sex scene sucked :) Hopefully, you feel better!!

Author's Response: hey! i originally had another chapter before this one, but it really seemed like filler, so i decided to omit it. and actually, when thinking about the future chapters, the suddeness of them hooking up is crucial LOL and good luck with your scene!

I was confused at first because I didn't know that the baby had some demon in her or that Lia could choose her parents (and I thought it was Spike who was sucking on her), but then it all came clear. Nice story direction! Didn't expect it, but it was very interesting and not disturbing like I thought it might be. In fact, I think it's more erotic in the way that they have now bonded together in a family fashion ;)

longgggg redemption for Spike, I hope! He's been a total jerk and it's his fault she's dating Angel! Ugh! I enjoyed this chapter as well :) I think the real strength in your story lies in the fact that Spike didn't just cheat and say it was a mistake, like some sexual thing, but he actually decided he liked Dru. anddd it was out of the blue. The angst is good because you have this drama that is hard to resolve. Keeping Buffy resistant is the best way to go about it - if she gives up easily at any moment, i think the angst quality would plummet. Hopefully, you have Spike go through an elaborate and painful process! I doubt many people are willing to forgive him at this point for the cruelty he caused her. My wish is that you have Spike actually do something to redeem himself instead of just being persistant and dumping Dru - it isn't enough! lol. I'm not sure what cheating he is talking about, so that intrigues me, but hopefully it's of the sweet kind because hasn't he done enough cheating as it is? Thanks guys for the great updates! Keep it up please :D

I loved the chapter :) I think it's absolutely essential that Buffy hasn't given in yet - totally the deciding factor on why I love it. Spike is a big jerk! Though he's all charming and persistent, he hasn't done anything to make him worthy of a second chance. And he expressed what a hypocrite he is with that one line. I hope you redeem him in some drastic way because I would hate to see Buffy just eventually give in because he's one persistent fool. Keep up the great work!

The dream was great - it seemed like a memory and then it really kicks in when suddenly Angelus is there, then back to Spike - loving the 3 personalities in that. But Buffy really should stop being so dependent on others to be strong. I'm not saying Buffy and Spike should split ways etc, but Buffy should get some of her own free will and Spike STILL needs redemption. lol im rambling. ill sit and wait :D great job!
