Oh god, when he said 'let him know his father means no harm' my heart seriously broke - how sad! He can feel how scared both his wife AND his son are....oh its just heartbreaking, and he just wants Buffy to love him as much as he loves her.
A great chapter, I should think it was obvious that Buffy would defend Hannah, after all she is just like herself, a human girl under the power of all these vampires/men, but of course I hope Buffy finds out just how deceitful Hannah really is. And boy, is she! Not as stupid as she makes out to be at all.
Anyway, loved the chapter as always, and please take your time with updating, of course we all have crazy busy periods of life. Thanks!
Author's Response: Thank you!!! You were one of the few who seemed to have seen the importance of tha. It killed Spike that his son was terrified of him. His own child. That is why he backed off. He FEELS everything still and it killed him that his own baby was scared to death of him. He loves the child and he loves Buffy and he won;t endanger the fragile relationship he has taken months to build even with this setback. Glad you see why she wuld think Hannah possibly worthy of defense as well. Yes it is stupid but we are seeing Hannah as the traitorus imposter she is. Buffy knows nothing of that and simplt has seen the demon inside her husband yet again. Thanks so much and I;ll update as soon as I can.

I can't say that I understand what's happening, as I'm completely clueless about these things, but just in case I've just copied and pasted all my favorite stories of yours onto a word document - I'd be so upset if I was unable to read them one day as I really love your writing so a backup plan it is lol.
Anyway, I loved this chapter and was so glad to see Buffy's powers come through when she needed them. I suspect there will be some conflict when it comes to revealing that she knows about the curse, but at the same time I think both parents will be so relieved that their little daughter is okay that it might be somewhat shadowed.
Thank you for your wonderful writing, it is really appreciated by a great many people.
Author's Response: Copying for personal use is fine. I;m honored that you like my work enough to have taken the time to do that. Hopefully I won't have to pull anything. As for understanding. I had trouble grasping the whole thing myself. It made no sense and was very unjust. Spike and buffy both have some explaining to do when they next meet. remember, she never told him about her magick. There are two secrets here, not one. it shows a lack of trust on both sides. Iagree that they will both be relieved though, and they have learened how to talk to each other. Thanks for you sweet words and your support. I hope to be around for a long time.
