I originally started writing Buffy fic under the name of Night Owl (or Night Owl Too) but have since changed my pen name (and this Spuffy Realm account) to annapurna_2. So if you're wondering who in the heck would want to steal these pitiful stories and claim them as their own, the answer is...no one. It's still me.

Aaaanyway...

Love to write. Love to read. Love S/B. Feel strangely compelled to play with the Buffyverse/Angelverse characters. Go figure.

I followed your link and found these stories. Thought I'd start with the short one since it's so late. As for the story...lovely, just lovely. There's a certain "stream of consciousness" feel to the narrative that gives it even more impact. Love the ending! By all means keep writing, but as far as I'm concerned, this particular story is just right, as is.

Thanks so much, Pin and Shippy, for the feedback. Trying to get inside Buffy's head, especially at that point in time, was quite a challenge. I'm very happy to hear it's working for you. I also had to keep reminding myself that the Scoobies were fairly accepting of Spike's presence around that time, even if they weren't particularly welcoming. I hope I've managed to strike that uneasy balance. Thank you again for commenting. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story as I'm able to post it!
