The Lassie Foundation is a band of five guys. They all agreed to answer questions, so each answered two of the following. Their song, "El Rey" was played in the episode "The Prom."

1. If any, what would you say was the greatest price you had to pay to get to this point in your careers?

Having someone tell us to wear shiny shirts on stage or our career was doomed.

2. Are you fans of Buffy?

To be honest for most of us this was the first time we have ever seen the show. We are generally out at night working or playing therefore we dont get much time to watch any tv.

3. Of all the songs that you play, does anyone have a favorite?

Some may have a favorite yet would not admit to it. i do have some preferences towards some songs live, "crown of the sea", "shogun", "come on let your lime light shine" are fun to drum and sing.

4. How did your song, "El Rey" get picked to be on an episode? Did you submit to them to have it used, or were you asked to have the song played?

Some guy (i do not know his name/Randy Parker) was at a show we played in korea town in Los Angeles, dug the band and asked for a disk, months later he called us and voila.

5. How did you feel about having your song choosen to be on Buffy?

I think just hearing our song on the episode. It was a great honor-it sort of validated all of our hard work. We recorded in our own studio on an 8 track machine and it stood up rather well with all the other artists and there big budget records. But we were all just stoked. Also, hearing the version of the Sunday's "Wild Horses" on the show was awesome. Being bookended by Fatboy Slim and the Sunday's, is an honor in its own right.

6. Although your band didn't actually perform on Buffy, would performing on Buffy or having more of your songs used on Buffy be something the band is interested in?

Yes we would love for that to happen.

7. Was there anyone or anything that inspired you all to become musicians?

I think it was just rock n roll. From Elton John to Kiss. Rock n Roll Rock n Roll.

8. If you weren't singing or performing as musicians, what would you be doing?

We all have jobs outside of the band. Two of us are substitute teachers, a graphic designer, a professional musician, and a student. But outside of that, some of us like diving, sailing boats, reading, gambling, hockey Kings and Ducks, rodeo, the Anaheim Angels.

9. What is your favorite memory so far in your career as a musician?

I think just the idea that we got paid to travel the world and see and meet great and wonderful people, while playing music. It was amazing.

10. Where do you see the band in five years?

Hopefully still together and playing rock n roll on Buffy.
