Alyson Hannigan plays Willow Rosenberg on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Her character on Buffy is a shy girl who has a hard time fitting in. In the first episode, Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) becomes friends with Willow. Ever since, the two of them have been the best of friends. Willow is a computer nerd and she isn't afraid to admit it. Willow has a crush on her best friend, Xander, but he doesn't think of her that way.

She spends a lot of her time on the net, but always finds time to do research for Giles and Buffy. Of course that usually means checking out the morgue and looking up books from 1066. Now, Willow has a boyfriend, Oz. He's the lead guitar for a band called, "Dingo's Ate My Baby." Willow has also been exploring the art of witchcraft and her skills have proven useful ever since restoring Angel's soul in "Becoming."

Throughout the third season, Willow built her relationship with Oz and they finally took a big step and had sex before their high school graduation. Along with her friends, Willow survived their unusual graduation ceremony that had their town mayor changing into a giant snake and trying to destroy Sunnydale. Willow was very eager to begin college with Oz and Buffy at Sunnydale University. Things began well, but after some time, Willow's relationship with Oz began to deteriorate. Another woman, who was also a werewolf destroyed the sweet couple's relationship and sent Oz on a trip to discover himself and the wolf within.

While Oz was away, Willow began a friendship with a fellow Wiccan, Tara. The two practiced spells together and gradually built a relationship that was based on more than just friendship. Upon Oz's return, Willow made the decision that she wanted to pursue her relationship with Tara instead of going back to Oz. The two are still together, and as of the season finale, planning the possibility of living together next season.

Since her role on Buffy began, Alyson has taken several roles in movies. She had a small role in the MTV movie, Dead Man On Campus, and most recently, in the hilarious sexual comedy, American Pie. She's currently working on her latest movie, Beyond City Limits which also stars former Buffy guest star, Alexis Denisof (Wesley).

This 25-year-old likes to surf the web, practice kickboxing and spend time with her dogs and cats. She also likes Dr. Seuss. Alyson has now returned to filming Buffy and any other movie projects will be worked into her Buffy schedule.
