AOL Live Chat mit David Boreanaz und Denise Richards vom 29.1.2001
AOLiveMC6: Welcome, everyone. Tonight we welcome David Boreanaz and Denise Richards of the new movie "Valentine." Welcome, folks.
David Boreanaz: Hi, how are you?
Denise Richards: Hi, how are you?
AOLiveMC6: I'm fine, thanks for asking. Let's jump right in. These first few questions are for you both.
Question: What were the best and worst parts of making "Valentine?
David Boreanaz: The best part was meeting such great people and the experience of just being around a really great set, having fun with them on the set and off the set. The worst part for me was cramming everything in two weeks, because I had to get everything in before I got back to the show. It was a high-pitched pace.
Denise Richards: The best part was working with a fun cast. The worst part was David having to leave after two weeks. With all the girls, it was nice to have male energy around, and it was gone after two weeks.
David Boreanaz: I'm wearing red pants, zebra shirt, snakeskin shoes and yellow socks, and you can see it on Jon Stewart tonight.
Denise Richards: My official Web site is up this week, and it's DeniseRichards.com. And I am very excited to communicate with my fans and put information that is going to be true and pictures from the set.
AOLiveMC6: Thank you for the heads up, folks. We'll be sure to check it out. This next one is for both of you. Without giving away any secrets...
Question: What are your plans for Valentine's Day this year?
David Boreanaz: I plan to spend it with my father, cause it's his birthday.
Denise Richards: I plan to spend it with my dog, Lucy. She will be with me while I'm filming in Toronto on that day.
AOLiveMC6: This next one is for David:
Question: David, how different was it to act in daylight, versus the nighttime filming of Angel?
David Boreanaz: It was fantastic. Quite honestly, I needed to make sure I had sunscreen on. LOL. It was great, it was -- to be able to drive in my Mustang convertible. It was great. It was fun.
AOLiveMC6: Denise, here's one for you, a personal taste question:
Question: Denise, do you like rock music?
Denise Richards: Yes. Love Led Zeppelin, love Rolling Stones, love Aerosmith.
AOLiveMC6: Another for Denise, and I second the motion:
Question: Hey, I need to talk to Miss Richards, how are you? How do you stay that pretty? Do you have any secrets? Thanks.
Denise Richards: Lots of sleep, tons of water, and I wear sunscreen every day, even if it is cloudy.
AOLiveMC6: David, next one is for you:
Question: David, if you could only do one, TV or movies, which would you choose?
David Boreanaz: They are all the same to me. It's all about the work. The difference with film is you have a lot more time to prepare. Television is quick turnaround. It's challenging and very fast, fast, fast. It's really all about work, and it's fun.
AOLiveMC6: Another for David:
Question: I have followed you since the first season of Buffy. I am happy to see you finally going into movies. If I did not have to teach classes on Friday, I would be at the movies for the first show. Why did you wait so long in moving to the big screen from TV?
David Boreanaz: Because I finally found somebody who would hire me. LOL. I was very busy working on the show. Thank you, that was very sweet, and thanks for your support, and have fun!
AOLiveMC6: Denise, you're up:
Question: Denise, which type of movie do you enjoy starring in, action (007) or thriller?
Denise Richards: I like both.
AOLiveMC6: Here is one for both of you:
Question: Tell us about some of your other upcoming projects, after "Valentine.
David Boreanaz: I'm just staying on the show right now. I'm still shooting the show. And I might be going to Cuba to work on an action piece, or I might have a couple little, small supporting [roles]. Just trying to figure it out before the strike.
Denise Richards: I have "The Third Wheel" coming out with Luke Wilson and Ben Affleck. It's a romantic comedy. And "Empire," which is drama, with John Leguizamo.
AOLiveMC6: Here is another for both of you:
Question: What's the most romantic thing anybody's ever done for you?
David Boreanaz: Happens every day, with a nice smile.
Denise Richards: I'm stunned, but I'll come up with something. LOL. Having a cocktail in the Eiffel Tower in Paris!
AOLiveMC6: Here is another for both of you:
Question: I was wondering, what would you guys say to aspiring actors who have not yet reached their acting goals?
Denise Richards: To keep on doing it! There's a lot of rejection, and if it's something you really want, you have to stick with it and work hard.
David Boreanaz: The best advice is be very patient and do theater. It doesn't matter if youre doing it in a small city -- do theater. It's really vulnerable, and it's good for your bone.
AOLiveMC6: David, one for you:
Question: David, do you have a fan club? How could I have an autograph? I'm your biggest French fan!!
David Boreanaz: Well, you know what, you can actually go into celebrityblvd.com. That's my official Web site. It's going to be changing in a couple of months, but for now you can go there.
AOLiveMC6: I do want to mention the movie Web site real quick. It's http://www.valentinemovie.com. Check it out. Denise, one for you:
Question: Denise, was this your first horror movie?
Denise Richards: Yes.
AOLiveMC6: Another one for Denise:
Question: Denise, welcome. What do you feel the biggest challenge was for you in making Valentine, and what personal adjustments did you make to overcome this challenge?
Denise Richards: The biggest challenge was staying in that Jacuzzi for four days. It took four days to shoot that. And personally, if I didn't do it, they'd find another actor that would, so I just stayed there for four days.
AOLiveMC6: Here's another one for you:
Question: David, what attracted you to this role?
David Boreanaz: You know, it worked out for me. I've really enjoyed trying to make something of the character. I like the dual personalities and struggles within the character.
AOLiveMC6: This one is also for David:
Question: David, does if feel good to have your own show, and has it changed you in anyway?
David Boreanaz: I'm very blessed, fortunate. It hasn't changed me as a person, but it has given me more responsibility.
AOLiveMC6: For both of you, a lifestyle question:
Question: What is your favorite sport? -- Kate
Denise Richards: Barefoot running for an hour in the soft sand. It's brutal -- it took me a long time to work up to that.
David Boreanaz: I like ice hockey.
AOLiveMC6: A biographical question for both of you:
Question: When did you first start acting?
David Boreanaz: You know what, I kind of got into it just being around my dad. Just a love of going to theater. But I just started getting paid for it when I moved out to LA about 10 years ago. Even then, it was just small, little jobs... commercials here, commercials there. The little things, you know. It's really, honestly, just very fresh and new for me. I'm still learning.
Denise Richards: After high school I started.
AOLiveMC6: David, this questioner wants to know something:
Question: Hi, David! What makes you laugh and where are you ticklish?
David Boreanaz: What makes me laugh... a lot of things make me laugh, for instance, just walking around the street in New York, or down the streets anywhere. I can find humor in anything. I can be in a room by myself and laugh. I'm not ticklish, really. I'm just ticklish on the inside.
Denise Richards: What makes me laugh... coming into New York. David being the man, carrying my luggage off the plane, wanting to be the first one off the plane, falls flat on his face and drops all of his luggage. I'll be laughing about it every few days, by myself thinking about it, I'll be laughing. I'm ticklish under my armpits and my ribs.
AOLiveMC6: She got ya, David. For both of you:
Question: Hey, David and Denise, with which audience (age group) do you think "Valentine" will be the most popular? -- Emily
Denise Richards: Obviously 17 and up, because of the R rating. It's geared between 17 and early 30s. It's a young adult audience.
AOLiveMC6: We have time for one more question tonight, and it's mine. Both of you have been so successful in front of the camera. Any aspirations to move behind the camera?
Denise Richards: I would like to eventually move into producing, then I'd have more control over projects.
David Boreanaz: Yeah, I'd love to, it would be great. I like to be around people, it would be cool. I like the word action.
AOLiveMC6: Good answers, all. All of us here at AOL Live wish to thank David Boreanaz and Denise Richards for being with us tonight.
David Boreanaz: We want to thank all our fans and tell them to see Valentine. It will be fun.
AOLiveMC6: Thank you for joining us tonight. I particularly am a huge fan of you both, and will see the movie as soon as it comes out. I want to reiterate the Web site address, http://www.valentinemovie.com.
