Please read the comments to this entry. I posted some further information in there.
Yay, I finally found an online-editor we might be able to use for the verse. But before I start trying to figure out how to install it fully I'd like to know if it works for everyone.
I have a demo-version up here:
KTML-Editor
Play with the editor (you can even copy and paste contents from MSWord). Hit "Go" and see if the text shows up like you would expect it to.
Let me know what you think of the editor, if you get any error-messages or if something doesn't work. |

OMG Squeeeeeeeeeeee!! No errors for me! I love this thing! I hope you can get it to work!
Way to go Dia! ^^ |

| Sorry, sweetie! I had problems with it. I can't actually see a "save content button". (I'm using Firefox, but since it's a Mozilla tool I wouldn't think that should be a problem). I tried using Ctrl C and Ctrl V but it gets rid of the horizontal rules that I use as section dividers. I clicked on the Remove tag option to take out some table settings on the original page and it removed the whole cell text and all, and when I try to set it up as one of my tabbed home pages I get a 404 error... Oh, and I tried using the copy button and got directed to a help page for setting preferences that was telling me to change bits of code in something... Sorry, hon. |

| Oops, now the home page thing seems to have decided to work. |

Ok. Tales is right, it eats your horizontal rules. I guess if we put that up as a known problem it might be possible to simply use something like this: ******** instead. (Is more common anyway.)
I changed the demo and you can now see how your text would look like on the site.
I also took out some of the buttons that would create code you aren't allowed to post anyway, that should make things more real.
Oh, and Always_jbj informed me that copying directly from Dreamwaver doesn't work (I suspect the same is true for FrontPage). It is however possible to copy from the with those porgrams created pages. Just open them in your browser and copy from there. |

| Oops, had another look and the thing about not being able to see the save content button, my bad. Was expecting it to be one of those buttons at the top, and dimbo here didn't scroll down... as for using an alternative to the horizontal rule, doing a find and replace on 120+ chapters (what's left of the SWBD series I'm in the middle of posting), and maintaining separate files - 'cause I don't really want to switch formats I have been using for years at my own site and at The Crypt would be a pain but probably do-able. Being honest, though, once the stories I'm currently posting are complete, the extra hassle would probably make me less inclined to add any new fics. |

Well, you wouldn't have to do that of course. The editor is only thought to be an additional option for those who want it. Not gonna force you to use it if it makes things harder for you. :-)
But nevertheless I'm going to try and contact the developers to see if there is a bugfix for the rule thing or something... |

| Unfortunately, if I post the code directly from dreamweaver I lose the HRs anyway. The old HTML editor fixes that. But if there's a fix for the new one so that I can do everything in Firefox instead of having two browsers open, that'd be great. |
