While coping with the trauma of her return, Buffy must also
deal with unpaid bills, debts, and a flooded basement. Giles returns
to Sunnydale, but his joy at seeing Buffy is marred by her remoteness
and his anger over Willow's spell. Three geeks with delusions of
grandeur are introduced, and set in motion their plan to take over
Sunnydale by hiring a mercenary demon to help them rob a bank. Buffy
and Spike have a quiet little chat on the back porch, and Buffy
actually smiles at one of Spike's jokes. Shortly after that, the
Troika's demon attacks Buffy, trashing her house before she kills
it, and Giles offers to help Buffy sort out her money woes.
