Buffy spats with Spike, the Scoobies wallow in guilt, Tara accuses
Willow of abusing magic, and Giles tells Buffy he can't solve her
problems for her. As Giles announces his departure, Willow's latest
spell backfires, causing everyone in the Magic Box to lose their
memories. Wackiness ensues as they try to sort out their identities.
As Buffy and Spike battle vamps, Spike is shocked to discover he's
a vampire, and puzzles out his lack of bloodthirstiness before deciding
he must be a noble vampire with a soul. Anya makes bunnies, Giles
fences with a skeleton, and Xander dusts a vampire before stepping
on Willow's magic crystal and breaking the spell. Memories return
in a painful rush for Buffy, Tara, and Giles. A heart-broken Tara
moves out, a conflicted Giles flies back to England, and Buffy turns
away from Spike's help--until she has second thoughts and kisses
him once again.
