Kly's Really Shallow Thoughts on "The Killer in Me"

by Klytaimnestra

Spoilers: none

Okay, the killer in Willow is Warren. The killer in Spike is his chip. I'm sorry we didn't get to see the killer in Buffy; but maybe she's taken over. Wonder if there's any point shipping potential Slayers on a vision quest when they don't actually have any Slayer Powers or reason to think the First Slayer cares about them. But as a way of getting them out of the episode, I'll take any excuse. (And why didn't they take Kennedy?)

I just don't like Buffy much anymore. I mean the character. Actually it's worse than that. She bores me. Fortunately it wasn't a Buffy-centred episode.

Loved Willow doing the Dark Willow walk and turning into Warren. Delighted to see that the lying self-serving bitca Amy is still a lying self-serving bitca. Who's showing her age, did anyone else notice?

Way too much prominence being given to Kennedy for my tastes. Very lame flirting scene.

Glad to find that Giles is corporeal. Though I rather thought he must be; he was sitting on that table way too solidly to be fake. Pleased to hear Anya lump Andrew and Xander together as geeks, and couldn't help but notice that she left her hands on Giles after everyone else took theirs away.

Glad to see that Riley came through and redeemed himself somewhat, a little, by offering Buffy instantly all the help she needed with "Hostile 17" - including giving her two separate ways to save his life. Accepts that she might be in a relationship with the evil undead. It's more than she ever did.

I am so very, very tired of seeing Spike play Wounded Damsel In Distress. Give him SOMETHING TO DO! Besides being rescued from bad guys I mean.

I will be extremely irritated with the blonde bimbo, if she doesn't get the chip taken out entirely. Have a little faith. I suppose she didn't get where she is by being trusting. on the other hand, is where she is anywhere anyone would want to be?

Shippy vibes all over this, for any of you who still care about S/B.

Happy thought re: Kennedy: maybe Willow will demonstrate that she's totally redeemed by NOT going off the deep end when Kennedy is killed? And so Kennedy is actually there as cannon fodder?
