Deanna's Predictions

1. How do you see Spike and Buffy's relationship playing out?
They'll be back together by the end of February, well in time for Faith, just arriving in Sunnydale looking for Buffy, to find her making out with Spike. "Girlfriend, you sooooo have a type. Damn, I knew I should've done Mr. Undead Hot Stuff here instead of GI Joe back when I had the chance." They'll be parted at the end of the series, with Spike vowing to continue the good fight in her name.

2. How do you see Willow and Kennedy's relationship playing out?
I'm not positive it'll last, but I think it'll be a turning point for Willow to learn Important Truths (TM) about herself, her abilities (magic and otherwise), relationships, responsibility, yadda yadda.
This'll be the year she'll finally gets her head on straight (um, so to speak, while still being, y'know, gay now), and Kennedy will be the one to guide her.

3. How do you see Xander and Anya's relationship playing out?
Officially "Just Friends Now." Emma's statements that this'll be her last season on Buffy seem at odds with her saying (recently!) that she could never get tired of playing Anya, since she's such a rich, multifaceted character, unless you take it to mean that, whether or not Buffy continues, she's going to be leaving to join the cast of Ripper. It makes perfect sense. JW said he wanted Cordelia on Angel (um... again, so to speak...<ahem>) because it's important to have someone in the cast who speaks their mind, saying things like "This is a stupid plan, and we're all going to die." In her place, both Spike and Anya now serve that role on BtVS, to varying degrees. Spike either stays for a Season 8 of Buffy or continues on to the spinoff, serving that role there, while Anya moves to England for Ripper. It's only logical. Both shows need an established likeable character to be their resident snarky cynic.

4. Who will be the Slayer by the end of episode 22?
Nobody. Faith dies and no new Slayer is called. The line is ended. BtVS is the story of The Last Slayer.

5. What will Robin Wood do?
The First will play him the way it played Spike, making him a Sleeper agent. He probably already is. Maybe he even has a spare Ubervamp hiding in his filing cabinet for when it's needed. He'll fight off The First's influence and die heroically in the last three episodes.

6. Will Giles be revealed to be the First?
No. We'll be made to doubt it again sometime after 13, but it's really him.

7. Who else will the First appear as?
Harmony? Kendra? Halfrek?

8. Will Andrew survive the season?
Yeah. Don't want to kill off *too* many characters, but he may wind up in prison.

9. Will the visions of Joyce be revealed to be hallucinations, or Helpful Ghosts, or manifestations of the First?
How about all of the above? (It's always real. Except when it isn't.)

10. Will any former villains appear again?
As themselves or as Firsty manifestations? As themselves, probably not.

11. Will Real Drusilla appear again?
Possibly, but would Spike think it's just Morphy again?

12. Will Spike end the series as vampire, human, dust, or hybrid?
Vampire, but he may have to sacrifice his soul again and continue as Chipless!Souless!ButStillGood!Spike.

13. Will any of the Scoobies go evil again?
Only under mind control, but not for long.

14. Will we see Tara again?
Nope.

15. What will bring Faith to Sunnydale?
Harbingers, or other servants of The First, try to kill her in jail, so she has to break out to escape them. After hiding out on the WB for a couple episodes, with evil things still after her, someone finally establishes cross-network contact and she learns that she's needed in Sunnydale.
