Buffy Season VI Episode #107:
"Once More, With Feeling" Episode Guide

It is an extremely bright peppy day and everyone is running about at Buffy's house. Then it is a bright happy day at the shop. While Buffy is patrolling, she starts singing, and the vamps and demons start singing with her.

Song 1 is about her slaying, losing her drive. She just wants to be alive.

The next day at the shop, Buffy walks in and asks the gang if anyone burst into song...Everyone is commenting about synchronized dancing, and everything seems as if they are in a musical. They decide to look into it.

Song 2 is the gang singing about the cheery singing, and their theories. Anya starts going off about bunnies. Buffy sings What can't they face it they're together? After the song, the gang starts talking again and wonders if it's just them. Buffy looks outside.

Song 3 is about a group song sharing how the dry cleaners finally got the mustard stain out. More synchronized dancing. Dawn comes in and talks about people singing in her math class. Willow and Tara are acting all cozy and head off "to check their volumes at home" for what's causing this. They are walking in the park.

Song 4 is Tara's song about how much Tara loves Willow, and how she is under Willow's spell. Back at the shop, Xander thinks that they are at home goofing off. Dawn thinks songs and dance are romantic. In another place, a man is tap dancing so fast he catches on fire and falls at the feet of a demon. At Xander's apartment, Anya and him are waking up and getting out of bed.

Song 5 is a duet about how much they love each other, and how they have secrets about the other that they won't ever tell. They start dancing. Anya and Xander are walking down the street with Giles talking about their singing. People are dancing and singing on the street.

Song 6 is sung by a woman who is claiming that her parking ticket isn't fair, there was no fire hydrant there. Giles tells them of the burned up body that was found, and mentions spontaneous combustion. In the background, three maintenance guys are dancing with brooms. They start talking about Buffy and Giles is frustrated because he thinks Buffy is not standing on her own two feet. Xander reminds him she is easing back into things, after being dead and all. Buffy goes to visit Spike, and he brings up the singing. He tells her he doesn't know anything and tells her to go. He starts singing.

Song 7 is his song to Buffy asking her to stay away and let him rest in peace since she doesn't feel the way about him that he feels about her. At Buffy's house, Tara and Dawn are talking. Tara is telling her that the theory is that a demon, Lord of Dance, was summoned. Dawn comments that she is glad her and Willow made up. She didn't like to see them fight. Tara is shocked. She takes her flower off that was pinned to her shirt, a flower she found on her pillow one past morning.

Song 8 is Dawn's song, asking if anyone notices her? Three wooden guys show up and bag her. She wakes up on a pool table and there is more synchronized dancing with the wooden guys. She sees the dancing demon.

Song 9 is his song about him bringing the fun, and arriving by invocation. He sings about the penalty that will happen when music becomes too strong. He announces she invited him, and will go back with him as his Queen. Dawn joins in and replies she can't go, her sister is the Slayer. The dancing demon instructs the wooden guys to get her because he wants to see her burn.

Song 10 is his really short song about starting the party. At the shop, Giles and Buffy are training.

Song 11 is Giles singing about how Buffy is not ready for the world outside. He wants to be as her father and take her by the hand but realizes he is standing in the way of her independence. Buffy is doing cartwheels and summersaults. Buffy, completely oblivious to his song, asks if he said something. In the shop, Tara finds the flower that Willow had given her. It is used in augmenting spells to help forget.

Song 12 is Tara singing about Willow's betrayal. Giles joins in, and they are both singing about how they have to go for the sake of the ones they love, but wish they could stay. They end up standing in front of Willow and Buffy. Spike brings in one of the wooden guys. He tells them his master has Dawn, and that at midnight she is going to the underworld with him. Buffy asks what the plan is, and Giles tells her she is going alone.

Song 13 is Buffy singing about how she will walk through the fire and let it burn. Spike is also singing by himself about Buffy laughing at him, and then how he should help her. The demon is singing about how she will walk through the fire and it will burn her. At the shop, Giles, Anya, Xander, Tara and Willow join the chorus. They sing about how they should help her, and how they will all walk through the fire and let it burn. Buffy shows up. Buffy offers to go in Dawn's place. The demon thinks that is gloomy, and asks her if that's how she really feels.

Song 14 is Buffy singing about how life is a show. She asks him to give her something to sing about. The rest of the gang comes in and Anya and Tara are dancing with her for short period. She continues to sing about how she was in heaven, and now lives in hell because of her friends. The gang is in shock, and Willow is horrified. Buffy starts dancing out of control and starts to smoke. Spike stops her. He sings to her that life is not bliss, but living. Dawn reiterates Buffy's words "The hardest thing in this world is to live in it." The song is over and Willow tells the demon to get out. Dawn is wearing his talisman, and Xander confesses to summoning the demon. He just wanted to see if him and Anya would work out.
