On the 12th December 2003, Clare flew to Vancouver and filmed an episode of her BRING IT ON cast mate Eliza Dushku’s new series, TRU CALLING. The episode that Clare guest stars in is episode 13, AMERICAN BEAUTY, written by Ion Harmon Feldman and directed by R.W. Goodwin.
In the episode, Tru (Eliza Duhku) must infiltrate the behind-the-scenes actions at the Fresh Face Cosmetics pageant, where someone is willing to kill to get ahead. Jackie, a third grade teacher, is a contestant in the pageant but will turn out dead in her dressing room and will be asking for Tru’s "special help". With the help of Lindsay, who seems to be working for the pageant, Tru will pose as a contestant to try and save Jackie. Alex Reynolds, one of the contestant and known as hot but bitchy, is not happy with Tru’s arrival even though she is the favourite to win.
Clare portrayed Alex Reynolds in the episode. She had a great time working on the show, and was thrilled to be reuninted with her good friend, Eliza Dushku.
An airdate for this episode has not been set yet (we’ll let you know as soon as it is), but it looks likely to be in mid February. We’ll also be posting a series of images from the episode soon.
Meanwhile, THE SKULLS 3, which features Clare in her first leading film role, will be released on region 1 DVD and video on 23rd March 2004.
