Sarah Michelle Gellar's on-screen kiss with actress Selma Blair in Cruel Intentions has been voted the tenth best kiss in a poll voted for by fans. Commenting on the kiss, Sarah Michelle Gellar said, "I was so nervous I thought I was going to throw up! We had to film in the open in New York’s Central Park and it seemed half the city was watching.”
Her scheming character in Cruel Intentions, a contemporary update of Dangerous Liaisons, was set to seduce Selma’s innocent schoolgirl Cecile. But former Buffy star Sarah suffered a panic attack.
“I was thinking to myself: “I can’t do this….I can’t do it.” I was worried about it the night before, wondering if I’d ever be able to go ahead. It was no better on the day itself."
The famous kiss now has a place in film history after recently being voted the second sexiest moment in a poll by Channel 4, again voted for by the fans.
Heading up the Best Ever Kiss poll was Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard's famous rain-soaked clinch in the move, Breakfast at Tiffany's with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze in second place for their kiss in Ghost. Making up the top three places was Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh in the epic movie, Gone With The Wind.
