Happy Birthday, Alyson

Actress Alyson Hannigan celebrates her 30th birthday today!
Having started out in acting at a young age, Hannigan got her first break in the film My Stepmother Is An Alien where she starred alongside Seth Green. After being recognised as one of America's hottest talents, Hannigan was cast in Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
For seven seasons, Hannigan graced our screens in her role as Willow Rosenberg, best friend of Vampire Slayer, Buffy. Viewers took Willow to their hearts as we watched her go from school geek to witch, but not without upset. Season six saw a dramatic storyline involving Willow turning evil in order to seek revenge on the killers of her lover, Tara. Having nearly destroyed the world, the witch then came back to not only help save it, but to change it too.
Hannigan is also known for the blockbuster American Pie trilogy where she plays the character of Michelle Flaherty. Having appeared in TV and film, Hannigan rose to the challenge of theatre work this year. She is currently in London starring in the West End production of 80's film, When Harry Met Sally.
When not working, Alyson likes to spend time with her husband Alexis Denisof and their dogs.
