The makers of Homicide: Life on the Street brings us a new show next month in the form of The Jury, an intense courtroom drama that looks at criminal cases from the jury's point of view.
Each week, various lawyers present criminal cases in the courtroom for the jury to decide on a verdict, all overlooked by prosecutors John Ranguso (played by Billy Burke of "24" fame) and Keenan O'Brien (Jeff Hephner). Also joining the courtroom regulars are defense attorney Melissa Greenfield (Shalom Harlow), Maugerite Cisneros (Cote de Pablo) as the legal intern and finally, Adam Busch as Steve Dixon, the loquacious court baliff.
The Jury has an Agatha Christie feel to it. Every week, the viewer becomes a member of the jury, seeing evidence presented before them before the final verdict comes in. It's then that the true nature of the crime is revealed in a flashback.
The Jury premieres in the US on Tuesday 8 June at 8/9c on Fox
