A "wonderfall" victory
Following the announcement of the cancellation of Wonderfalls, fans immediately launched a campaign to save their much loved show at Save Wonderfalls.

Fans sent thousands of postcards to try and persuade the Twentieth Century Fox to produce a DVD featuring the episodes that never saw the light of day. Today, they are celebrating a small victory as a result of their loyalty, love and passion for the shirt-lived show.

Co-creator Tim Minear, posted the following message on the internet:

Okay, some tiny good news - looks as though 20th is going to go through with "Wonderfalls" DVDs. The folks on the DVD marketing side love the 13 episodes and see great potential. We're talking about extras and commentary and all that good stuff. December/Holiday release was mentioned. I'll keep you updated. (BTW -- a flood of 'postcards' was mentioned. We were asked, 'that's not your families sending those, is it?' Um. In a *way*...)

Save Wonderfalls also reported talking to Bryan Fuller, co-creator of Wonderfalls, who confirmed that Twentieth Century Fox is very interested in releasing the DVD but are currently deciding whether it is financially viable, particularly as music licences appear to be a relevant concern.

Fuller urged the fans to continue sending postcards. He said, "you never know what can derail something like this."

This sweet victory is not only encouraging for the viewers of Wonderfalls, but also to the thousands of fans still campaigning to find an outlet for the recently departed Angel. The fans at Save Angel are currently exploring avenues such as a big screen motion picture and spin-off shows.

Buffy-vs-Angel.com would like to congratulate the participants of the Save Wonderfall campaign for what we deem to fantastic step forward in the fight to save quality TV.
