Following on from fan fiction, the Browncoats at FireflyFans.net are continuing to expand in the creativity department.
"Shadowvessel" has a flash of inspiration whilst listening to "Bonny Portmore" and has now created a video of scenes from Firefly accompanied by the music:
I was sitting at work one day listening to "Bonny Portmore" on the headphones. Great celtic song from Highlander III fame for those of you who don't know. As I was listening to it visions of dramatic moments from Firefly came into my head, because I'm artsy-fartsy, and I suddenly realized, "This would make a great video."
So, since I have no experience in this area I tapped a friend of mine who'd edited video. Matter of fact, it's the same friend who pointed out to me that Firefly reminded him of Cowboy Bebop, which we're both fans of. Scheduling was a bit of a problem for us, that's why it's taken so long to get it right.
It's been quite a circus. I realized that trying to take scenes from the whole series was just too much for a beginner, as myself, to tackle. Instead, I decided to concentrate on "The Message" and just tell the story of that one great episode with music.
