Win a signed "You're Welcome" script
The Save ANGEL Campaign at SaveAngel.org is honored to announce the generous contribution of ANGEL's David Boreanaz to the "Fight the Good Fight" Writing Competition. Mr. Boreanaz has donated his personal copy of the episode 100 "You're Welcome" script, signed by the members of the cast and the episode's writer David Fury. Additionally, he has contributed an autographed photo, inscribed, "Believe in your dreams." Boreanaz contacted the contest organizer to express his personal appreciation for the campaign and the efforts of fans.

The script will be the Grand Prize for the competition, drawn from all entries. Contest participants can enter in six categories, each named for a particular episodes in the series: Epiphany, Over the Rainbow, That Old Gang of Mine, Smiletime, That Vision Thing, Why We Fight.

Winning entries will be judged by a panel of professionals, including editors from BenBella Books, publishers of the Joss Whedon biography; Nikki Stafford, author of "Bite Me" unofficial guide to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and up-coming "Once Bitten" guide to Angel; John Passarella, author of the new ANGEL novel "Monolith"; Minnesota journalist and fan John Hansen; and professors David Lavery and Rhonda Wilcox, editors of "Slayage," the International Journal of Buffy Studies.

Lavery and Wilcox recently convened the Slayage Conference in Nashville, Tennessee attended by over 300 academics and scholars from around the world.

The writing competition will be judged on originality, insight, impact, clarity and quality of writing. Prizes also include signed books donated by BenBella: copies of the "Joss Whedon" biography by Candy Havens, "Seven Seasons of Buffy", and an exclusive pre-release edition of "Five Seasons of Angel." Author John Passarella has donated a signed edition of his new ANGEL novel, "Monolith." Additionally, Rising Stars has contributed items from J. August Richards.

Entries into the writing competition will be taken beginning June 23. To allow for additional entries, the contest deadline has been extended to July 14.

The Graphics Competition closed on June 16. The best entries will be available for anonymous voting by members of the Save ANGEL forums in approximately one week. "Original Poster" graphics finalists will be selected by Rob Hall, founder of ANGEL's make-up special effects company, Almost Human. Artist Erin Allen will be selecting finalists for the Avatar category, towards which she has also donated a signed print of her artwork.
