Morena Baccarin, who plays Inara Serra in the Firefly television series and upcoming Serenity movie, is providing the voice of Black Canary in Cartoon Network's Justice League Unlimited.
Black Canary will be featured in the Season 4 episode, "Double Date," which is written by Gail Simone. The episode also features Kin Shriner as Green Arrow, Amy Acker as The Huntress and Jeffrey Combs as The Question, along with some other guest voices to be announced.
Baccarin is one of several Firefly/Serenity cast members to lend their voices to Justice League Unlimited.
As previously reported, Nathan Fillion is voicing Vigilante and Gina Torres is voicing Vixen. Adam Baldwin is voicing a villain in the season finale.
"We're so lucky to get these people. And they're so happy to come and play," Justice League voice director Andrea Romano told The Continuum. "And when they work their schedules out so we can get them in the room at the same time, we also get a better product and they have a better time."
In other Justice League Unlimited news:
Mindy Sterling is providing a guest-voice in an upcoming episode. Sterling is perhaps best known as Frau Farbissina from the Austin Powers movies.
In other Justice League news, Buffy the Vampire Slayer alumni Armin Shimerman and Juliet Landau are providing guest voices in upcoming episodes.
Shimerman, who was Principal Snyder in Buffy, will provide the voice of Dr. Milo.
Shimeran also did the voice of Toad in the X-Men Legends videogame and was Quark in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Landau, who was Drusilla in Buffy, will provide the voice of Tala. It's possible she'll be doing one or two more voices for the show, but that hasn't been confirmed yet.
