Popular idiot box regulars Alyson Hannigan ["Buffy"] and Jennifer Love Hewitt ["Party of Five"] are teaming up for a new tube offering.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hannigan - whose movie career has gone, ah, a little bit crusty since she exited the "American Pie" series - has just dotted the I's and crossed the T's to join Hewitt and Ed 'He's a tryer' O'Neill for Touchstone 22-minuter "In the Game".
The sitcom centers on an up-and-coming sports producer (Hewitt) who unwillingly becomes an on-camera reporter on a sports TV show. Hannigan will play the reporter's best friend. O'Neill co-stars as the show's executive producer.
Hannigan's last film role was in 2003's "American Wedding".
