Joining the star of 'The Grudge' are her husband and teen movie idol Freddie Prinze Jr, 'Alien' veteran Sigourney Weaver, comedian George Carlin, character actor and Pixar regular Wallace Shawn and the madcap Andy Dick.
It's a satirical retelling of the Cinderella story, according to a report by Variety.
The tale, written by Robert Moreland and produced by 'Shrek's John H. Williams, is set in Fairy Tale Land where Cinderella's evil stepmother has disrupted the balance between good and evil.
As a result, Ella's own fairy tale takes a turn for the worse, prompting her to ditch the damsel-in-distress routine to take on her stepmother's alliance of villains.
The film, which has also been compared to 'Hoodwinked, the animated version of Red Riding Hood recently released by the new Weinstein Company, is directed by Paul J. Bolger.
Lionsgate is to release the family film, which also features the voices of Michael McShane, Patrick Warburton and Jon Polito, in the USA during the first quarter of 2007.
