“ANGEL” SEASON FOUR DVD COLLECTION

Rising Up On DVD September 7, 2004,
Six Disc DVD Set Includes All 22 Episodes From The Pivotal Fourth Season

Creator Joss Whedon’s TV On DVD Phenomenon’s Angel and
Buffy The Vampire Slayer Have Shipped Over 4 Million DVD Units To-Date

CENTURY CITY, Calif. – This is “Angel” like you’ve never seen before! The evil is within – and the only place to find out if Angel can rise out of the apocalypse is in the “Angel” Season Four DVD Collection from Fox Home Entertainment. All 22 episodes from the pulse-pounding fourth season will be available as a six disc DVD set on September 7. Winner of the 2004 Saturn Awards
“Best Actor in a Television Series,” David Boreanaz returns with the award-winning cast, including 2004 Saturn Award winners for Best Supporting Actor/Actress, James Marsters and Amy Acker. The excitement continues in season four of creator Joss Whedon’s stellar, noir drama as Angel precariously juggles the fight to save humanity from the evil demons that threaten Judgment Day with the
ever-growing responsibilities of fatherhood. Seen by four million weekly viewers, “Angel” completed its fifth season earlier this year but lives on forever on DVD. Loaded with exclusive bonus features, the collectible six-disc set includes episode commentary by Joss Whedon and directors including
Steven DeKnight, Tim Minear, David Fury, and Jeffrey Bell, five featurettes including “Unplugged: Season Four Outtakes” and “Last Looks: The Hyperion Hotel” and much more for the suggested retail price of $59.98 US/$89.98 Canada. Prebook is August 11, 2004.

Marketing Support:
Capitalizing on the popularity and critical acclaim of “Angel” and its large, enthusiastic fan base, Fox Home Entertainment’s TV on DVD helps deliver for retailers. The Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer DVD collections alone have shipped over 4 million DVD units to-date. Backed by a major broadcast advertising campaign, the “Angel” Season Four DVD Collection release will include support from WB news affiliates where “Angel” is broadcast, with promotions and aggressive online fan group outreach. In addition, marketing for the DVD set will include a national entertainment print and online media campaign with placements in key entertainment magazines.

“Angel” Synopsis
A centuries-old vampire cursed with a conscience, Angel (David Boreanaz) has left the small California town of Sunnydale and the only woman he ever loved to take up residence in the City of Angels. Between the pervasive evil and countless temptations lurking beneath the city’s glittering façade, Los Angeles proves to be the ideal address for a fallen vampire looking to save a few lost souls and, in turn, perhaps redeem his own by restoring hope to those locked in a losing battle with their own demons.
