Apparently it has been confirmed that the organiser, and sole holder of all the ticket money took flight to the U.S.A. after announcing the supposed ´postponement´.
So if any of y´all meet an Aussie Buffy fan named Edward Schumacker, kick him in the nuts for me, ok?

I have only just found out this event isn´t going ahead. Grrr..... Does anyone know who the person is that´s organising the complaint to the Department of Fair Trading? I´d really like to get in touch with that person as I need to try and recoup hundereds of dollars.

For all you Californians, there is a Buffy convention in Sacramento. It is set for July 8-10 at the Sacramento Doubletree Hotel, 2001 Point West Way off of Arden Way. It will have minor characters including James Marsters (Spike) and amber Benson (Tara). Full access is $295 dollars. More information is at http://www.alternateuniversepresents.com.

Hi I also had tickets for this event and would like to know who to contact at the Department of Fair Traiding and information about pressing charges. Because I would really like to be involved.
Before purchasing the tickets I did check that the people he said would be there were scheduled to attend so I am furious with this.
Mark please get back to me if you read this as I would really like to be involved with the process. I am owed $365, and I have $45 in cancelled airfare and accommodation, I know there are many more people out there that are owed a lot more.
