Teaser:

The battle between the Angel Investigation crew and JasmineÍs minions is in full swing. The vastly outnumbered heroes put up a valiant struggle, but by sheer numbers and ConnorÍs strength they are finally overcome. In the aftermath, Connor realizes Angel isnÍt present. Meanwhile, in JasmineÍs former dimension, the vampire in question is surrounded by the bug demons. However, as Angel holds up the crystal that teleported him there, the creatures are visibly afraid and back away from him. He spots a lone temple atop the rocky crag ahead of him, and resolutely begins the long climb up.

Act I:

Wes, Gunn, Fred and Lorne are bound on their knees in the sewer as Connor taunts them about being defeated and alone in the world. Connor prepares to kill them when Jasmine contacts him through a soldier n the room and tells him to stop and bring them to her at the hotel.

Angel begins to climb a huge rock structure in the alternate dimension trying to reach a temple at the top.

In the hotel lobby, Jasmine addresses more followers when the gang is brought before her. She asks where Angel is and Wes retorts,î Your omniscient, you tell usî to which Connor backhands him. Undeterred, Wes confronts Jasmine about the sewer demon and she explains her involvement with their race. She then admits she knows Angel is in their dimension but he will fail. Jasmine calls for her secretary, Patience, and tells her to have the media prepare for her arrival in the lobby. Fred pleads for Connor to stop Jasmine from taking over the world. She explains that CordyÍs blood was supposed to show him JasmineÍs true face. Connor smiles and admits that he has always seen JasmineÍs true face -her maggot-infested visage appears and he adds, ñShe is beautiful.î Jasmine has the team taken away but Wes counters that they are bargaining chips to keep Angel quiet. Connor questions what Wes means but Jasmine interrupts him and assigns him the task of watching over the group.

Inside the temple, Angel enters and is met by a bodiless voice to that taunts him on the futility of his quest. The High Priest reveals himself from the shadows to be a small, craggy faced demon in robes. He is the caretaker of the Blessed Temple, which is empty of followers. Angel tries to get the priest to tell him JasmineÍs true name but he only laughs at him. Angel picks the priest up by the neck and dangles him in the air to force the information from him.

Connor locks the team up in the basement cage that previously held Angelus. Lorne confronts Connor on always knowing JasmineÍs true face. Connor admits appearances donÍt mean anything to him since he grew up in QuorÍToth. Fred then confronts Connor about CordeliaÍs whereabouts. He admits she has been moved. Wes then asks Connor what Jasmine eats and it is revealed that she eats people. Wes then questions if maybe Jasmine ate Cordy, which troubles Connor.

Still dangling from his grip, Angel is able to get the priest to admit The Keeper only knows JasmineÍs true name. Confused, Angel chokes the priest again for clarification and the priest shows him another being in the shadows. Once released, the priest explains the Keeper will only divulge the name with his last breath. Angel confronts The Keeper for the name only to find the demonÍs mouth is stitched closed.

Act II:

Jasmine talks to a room of followers as they strip down in the preparation for her feast. Connor interrupts Jasmine to ask where Cordelia is. She tells him Cordelia is in a safe place but he presses to know where. Laughing Jasmine figures out that Connor thinks she has eaten Cordelia. She explains she canÍt hurt her parents. Jasmine offers that Cordelia has been moved to a secure place by some of her followers and that she is still comatose but under constant supervision. Connor leaves to go back to his supervision of the captives downstairs.

Angel and the demon trade blows as the priest taunts Angel about the fate of his friends left behind. Angel says he needs to save the world and his friends but the priest counters that the real reason he is here is because of ñthe boy.î Connor is what Angel is really fighting for but the priest tells him he will lose him too.

The world media and more followers are assembling in the hotel lobby while Connor paces the area listening and searching the faces. He discreetly smells the people for CordyÍs scent when he locks onto a particular young man. A reporter stops connor for a moment but he dodges her and follows the man outside. The man is talking to fellow follower in the garden and they immediately know Connor as JasmineÍs dad. Connor confronts them about being the followers who moved Cordelia which they deny until Connor attacks them. Connor says he can smell her on them and threatens to kill them unless they tell him where she is.

The battle in the temple rages on while the priest questions Angel about why he continues to bother with Connor when he is merely a means to an end in bringing the vessel to earth. The priest tells him Connor will never love him and Angel replies it doesnÍt matter. As The Keeper swings to attack, Angel ducks and the priest is caught in the melee and is launched in the air where he is impaled on a wall spike ¿ dead. The Keeper then grabs Angel and lifts him over his head.

In the cell, Gunn continually kicks the barred cage in hopes of breaking it. Lorne yells at him to stop. Fred questions why Connor would leave them alone. Wes randomly says, ñBloodî and then explains that CordeliaÍs blood had the same power as JasmineÍs to break the thrall and now she has been moved. He wonders why Jasmine has not killed her and they theorize that maybe Jasmine canÍt thus making Cordelia their only hope at stopping Jasmine

Connor walks up to an abandoned church and enters where he finds two cops protecting the property. They ask him to leave ¿ JasmineÍs orders. Connor knocks the two cops through a wall and on the other side is Cordelia laid out on the altar.

In the feast room, the tentacled form of Jasmine slowly morphs back into her human form reenergized from her meal. She smiles and walks out to message bring her message to the media and the world.

Act III:

In the church Connor stands over the veiled, comatose Cordelia. He says he wanted to see her again. He explains that the new beginning has started, if only she could wake up and see it. Connor wonders if this is what Cordelia wanted, if that is why she went to him. So Jasmine could be born and create the kind of world Cordelia wanted. He thinks the world is better, not harsh and cruel the way Angel likes it. He says Angel and everyone always need a reason to fight because that is the only thing that gives their lives meaning. In a rage, he punches through a little wooden pedestal. He says he is not like them, he just wants to stop fighting and rest. Yet it is not working. He tried to believe. Jasmine is bringing peace to everyone and purging all their anger except his. Connor admits that she is a lie, but his whole life has been built on lies. He just thought this lie was better than the others.

In the Hyperion lobby newscasters from around the world, including a Spanish-speaking newscaster, are waiting for Jasmine. In the upstairs hallway Patience tries to stop Jeremy from approaching Jasmine. He explains that Connor made him say where Cordelia is held. Patience then reminds Jasmine of the press conference. Back in the lobby Jasmine approaches the balcony. Everyone bows until she tells them to stand. She welcomes everyone around the world and blows a kiss to the cameras. She explains that she is not a leader or divinity, but a partner in making this the best of all possible worlds. A world built on love, respect, and understanding. Everyone applauds.

In the basement Fred, Lorne, Wesley and Gunn hear the clapping. Gunn continues to kick the steel doors as they realize they are now all alone.

Upstairs in the lobby Jasmine opens the floor to questions. She calls on the newscaster Tracey who is in such awe that she cannot ask anything. A male newscaster asks what they can do to show their love. Jasmine says to just love each other, but a massive awe-inspiring temple would be nice. Suddenly there's a disturbance and a blue portal opens. Angel comes out holding the key and something else. Jasmine orders everyone to kill him. Angel holds up the head of the keeper and they all back away. He says, "I'm sorry," and slices open its mouth. It releases a long, breath-like word. Jasmine glows green and beings to shift to her true ugly self. People scream and run away. She begs them not to leave as boils and burns appear on her face.

Back in the basement, they all wonder what is going on. Gunn keeps kicking the door. Wesley tells him to stop when, suddenly, a final kick throws it open. Gunn says to never give up or surrender.

Outside on the street there is chaos. Cars burn and people are screaming as Jasmine walks around, telling them not to be afraid. One man throws a bottle at her. She reaches out with her mind to Connor. In the church, her voice comes from the unconscious guard, begging for help. He runs off.

Still on the street, Jasmine roams around. Angel says she has lost. Jasmine lectures that there are no absolutes and he did not have to do this. She offered everyone paradise and he chose chaos. Angel argues that Jasmine took away choice, and while we do not always make smart choices, it is what makes us human. Angel says it ends here and he will die before letting her hurt anyone else. She asks why he hates her so much and he reminds her of the rain of fire, blotting out the sun, and eating people. Jasmine replies that she murdered thousands to save billions. Again, Angel asserts that our fate has to be our own or we are nothing. Seeing Jasmine so desperate, Angel feels pity and suggests she could still help make the world better, even if she has lost her powers. Jasmine says, "Not all of them," and punches Angel, sending him flying off the street and down onto a car.

Act IV:

On the street above, Jasmine picks up a car and hurls it at Angel down below. Angel rolls away as the car hits an electrical wire then collides with another car and explodes. Jasmine jumps down and kicks Angel, throwing him by the live wire. She says that she sacrificed everything because she cares, the other Powers don't. Suddenly, Angel electrocutes her with the live wire. It does nothing. He punches her and she throws him through a concrete lamppost. She reminds him of the prophecy where Angel will play a major part in the apocalypse. Finally, she says, he knows what side he is one. Thanks to Angel she has just enough power to wipe out the human race. Annoyed, Angel says it isn't his fault. He tells her to go to hell. She replies, "You first baby," and draws him into a kiss. Suddenly Connor arrives and calmly interrupts.

Back in the Hyperion lobby Wesley, Lorne, Gunn, and Fred walk around. No one is there. The TV stations are offline. Gunn picks up the head of the keeper. Wesley realizes Angel is back. He says they have to find him and Cordelia. They go to leave, open the door, and freeze. Fred says, "Oh my God," but we cannot see what they are staring at.

On the street Jasmine tries to convince Connor that Angel can't defeat both of them. She asks if he still believes and loves her. Expressionless, he says yes and puts his fist through her face, killing her. With no emotion, Connor simply looks down. Angel tries to talk and console Connor, saying he is just happy to have him. However, Connor turns and runs away.

In the Hyperion Lobby Angel walks through the door, surprised to see everyone still alive. He tells them how he brought Jasmine's true name back, taking away her powers, and how Connor killed her. Wes tries to interrupt but Angel keeps worrying about Connor, saying he was not angry, just blank. Wes tries to say something again, but Angel keeps saying that Connor has given up. He's afraid he might do something. Off screen, Lilah's voice says, "End world peace?" Alive and well, Lilah walks into the lobby and says, "Well you already took care of that, congratulations."
