TRANSCRIPT:

Angel, on a roof top. In the background is LA at night.

Angel-My name is Angel. I was born 244 years ago in Ireland. Small town, Good family. 27 years into an unremarkable life, I met a woman. She promised me she could show me a world I had never seen.

Cut to shots of Darla and Angel from Becoming part 1.

Angel-She wasn't kidding.

Life as a vampire was a constant thrill. Power, danger, outfits. Good outfits. Never getting old also a plus. But in the end, it was all about the kill.

Shots of Angel killing from Amends, and shots of him killing Jenny Calendar.

Angel-But then I killed the wrong girl.

Shots of Becoming part 1. The dead Gypsy girl he killed, the elders cursing him.

Angel-Gypsies from my experience are heavily into vengeance. They cursed me. Gave me back my soul, my conscience. I had to live with everything I've done, I had to live forever.

It took another woman to show me that my endless life was worth living. Her name was Buffy, you might actually know her.

Shots of Buffy, Buffy and Angel kissing.

Angel-She was my first love. I'm not saying it was an easy relationship.

Shots of the sword fight between Buffy and Angel from Becoming part 2.

Angel-But it was real. I guess I knew it couldn't last. You see Gypsies, they pulled a funny on me. If I ever experienced a moment of true happiness, my soul was at peace. I would lose it.

Shot of Buffy and Angel having sex from Amends.

Angel-Become a monster again. So I had to leave.

Shots of Graduation part 2, Angel's farewell to Buffy.

Angel-I wanted to shut the world out. No more love. No more pain. No more demons. I figured life didn't have any more surprises for me. Alive for 244 years, I thought I'd seen everything. Then I came to LA.

Camera goes over Angel's shoulder, a shot of LA from atop the roof.

Heavy Metal music, shots of LA, Hookers getting into a car, the Hollywood sign, swimming pools, mansions.

Exterior shot: the streets of LA. Angel and Doyle walk down the street.

Doyle: One hell of a city, man. Buckets of fun if you're a nasty creature of some kind. Little hard on the humans though. People get very lost. Very dead. Or worse. Everyone's got their own demons. Want to help yourself? Help them. Give them hope.

Shots of people waiting in line to get into a club, haunting music begins to play. A strange woman touches a man. Shots of LA, Hollywood, and Mansions.

Cut to interior shot. An office. Cordelia, Angel, and Doyle.

Cordelia-(while unpacking files) I think it's great that you want to help people fight their personal monsters. You shouldn't turn your back on the helpless. I'm just saying, fee. I mean, why can't we charge the helpless? Monster fighting is difficult work, and we have rent. Hey, I'm not the one who hung around for 200 years and never developed an investment portfolio. (chipper) Okay?

Shot of Angel's reaction. Speechless.

Cordelia walks off, the boys watch her as she goes.

Doyle-She couldn't split the office?

Cut to Exterior shot: The streets of LA. Doyle and Angel walking.

Doyle-Well sometimes it's easy making with the Mcfistacuffs and all that. You can handle yourself right?

Shots of Angel fighting.

Angel-I get by.

Doyle-Sometimes it's not easy. Not all demons have horns. And not all damsels want to be saved.

Cut to shots of Darla, Anya, and Faith.

Shots of a club, Drusilla (from Buffy), Cordelia screaming, demons.

Cut to interior shot. Angel and Doyle in the office.

Doyle-There are powerful people forces out here. Agents of pure evil.

Cut to shots of business men, men in suits, brief cases.

Doyle-They make great business out of people's despair.

Angel-They're not going to like me stirring up trouble.

Doyle-You're not afraid of that are you?

Angel-Counting on it.

Doyle-Quite the masculine fellow aren't ya.

Shots of LA, Angel driving, LA from the rooftops.

Voice over: David Boreanaz. Charisma Carpenter. Glenn Quinn.
