19. The Price

As a side-effect of the dark magic Angel used, the Hyperion Hotel is infested by demonic slugs that suck all water out of human bodies. When one of the creatures takes control of Fred, Gunn is forced to ask the ostracized Wesley for help. The creatures announce the coming of a 'destroyer' before Cordelia finally manages to kill them with her new demonic powers. Suddenly the 'destroyer' comes through an opening from the Quor-Toth dimension and stands right in the hotel's entrance hall: Connor.

  • Vincent Kartheiser joins the show as the grown-up Connor. He will be part of the regular cast in Season 4.

Gunn: Did you hear what I said? She is dying!
Wes: I was dying. Throat cut, life pouring out of me. You know why I fought to live again?
Gunn: Wes, I don't have time.
Wes: I fought to live so I could see my friends again, to explain to the people I loved and trusted *my* side of what happened.
Gunn: We know what...
Wes: You don't know anything.
Wes: I'll help because it's Fred, but don't come here again. Any of you.
