21. Benediction

Connor comes back to the hotel to spend time with Angel. Fred and Gunn find out that Holtz has returned to this dimension as well and Angel decides to confront him - behind Connor's back. Holtz offers Angel a chance to apologize and says that he wishes for Connor to live with Angel again. Everything seems to work out. But then Holtz seeks out Justine and forces her to kill him with two stabs in the neck - like the fangs of a vampire. When Connor sees his dead father he assumes that Angelus killed him and vows vengeance.

  • Holtz' plan only works because Angel lied to Connor!

Connor: Because he took them from you.
Holtz: That's right.
Connor: I wish I *had* killed him.



Lorne: Oh, hey, kiddo. I didn't see you there. You looking for your dad? Come on. He's upstairs. I'll show you the room. - This way.
Connor: I'm not going anywhere with you, demon.
Lorne: I'll tell you what, since you were raised in a hell dimension by a psychopath, and since that happens to be a topic that I know a little something about, we'll just let that slide. Now I'll fetch your pop for you.
