awards // site

If you have a site (that meets my requirements) you should totally apply for one of these awards. You get a handy dandy graphic to put on your site... and who doesn't love winning something? These awards are all for sites, but if you have a fanfic you think is award-worthy, check out the Featured Fanfic award (I also have a Featured Site award, by the way). Anyway, if you have a site and you're interested, please check out the awards before, but make sure you read the requirements first!

requirements
Your site must be in English! I swear, I get so many sites it foreign languages and it pisses me off that the people who apply don't even bother to read this... or else they think I put the requirements up for shits and giggles. I'm serious. I know English. I can't fairly judge a site if I don't understand anything written on it.
Your site must be a 'BtVS' site. I don't want sites about other shows, including 'Angel.' That means you can submit sites about 'BtVS' in general, any of the characters and stars currently on the show or formerly (this means a Riley site would be okay, but not a Cordelia site because Cordelia is on 'Angel' now, so that is an 'Angel' site). Shipper sites are okay, but I reserve the right to not award a site if I really really hate the ship. Like Angel/Willow. Yish. Oh, and your site can contain 'Angel' stuff, so long as it is a 'BtVS' site. Buffy/Angel shipper sites are cool.
No Dawn/Spike sites. I'm sorry, but that is the most revolting pairing, IMO. And since it's my site... I get to say that if you submit a D/S site, as soon as I see that's what it is, I will delete your application.
All your content must be your own, or else you must give credit and have permission to post it. Stealing sucks, plain and simple.
Your site can't crash my computer. I'm just not patient enough to deal with that.
You must be the site owner. Before I made this rule, I had well-meaning fans of sites submitting them for awards and then I found myself dealing with rude and ungrateful owners that made me wish I could take the award back. If you think your friend's site deserves the award, send them a link or something.
Do not apply for an award more than once in the space of a month. Even if you see your name on the winners list but have yet to receive an award, do not re-apply. I only send awards out once a month so you don't have to worry about not getting it. All you will succeed in doing is irritating me.
Just so I know that you read the rules, remember that the magic word is bollocks.

great site award
This is the easiest award to win. If you are new to the world of web design and not very experienced, this is probably the one for you.
I am looking for sites with smallish amounts of content and not so great graphics. Like I said, it's for beginners who may not have the best knowledge and programs available.

bronze award
These sites have to be a bit better than the Great Site winners, but they still don't have to be incredibly complex.
You should have a decent amount of content. Unless you have a site that is centered on one thing, such as fanfic or pictures, I'm thinking you should have at least five different sections. That's a workable number, though.

silver award
This is where it gets harder. People who win this award will either have a natural gift for design or experience.
I am looking for sites with graphics that are fairly impressive and larger amounts of content.
Design and layout are very important to me. I like sites that are easy to navigate and easy on the eyes.

gold award
This is for really impressive sites. Like, I should want to add your site to my favorites after visiting it.
Your graphics need to be really really good. A lot of people - including myself - aren't amazingly talented when it comes to this area, but if I can make some good stuff... so can you!
Lots of content! Even if your site isn't like this one with lots of different things, you should have a lot of stuff. Fanfic sites with over a hundred stories. Picture sites with numerous galleries. *Big* sites!
Again, looking for great design and layout - easy navigation.

superstar award
This is the hardest award to win. You can't apply for it, I reserve it for sites that make me say "Wow!" when I visit them.
Graphics are going to have to be really great and make me jealous. ;)
Your content will have to be vast, unique and interesting.
Of course, the navigation and layout will have to be easy to use and pretty... but I'm also looking for "cool" on this one.
People who win this will have to have done their own site design and graphics. I want to give this to people who have poured their heart into the site.
