It had all seemed so easy when they first discovered the prophecy; if he fought in the last apocalypse one the side of humanity he’d be rewarded. Who could have known that ‘side of humanity’ was so much more complicated than ‘the side of humans’? Who could have known that the last apocalypse would be brought about by mankind itself? He had spend the last century helping humans against demons, never giving a thought to anything besides ‘humans good, demons bad’; now he was supposed to know which of the war-parties was the more humanitarian one? Angel wept in frustration. | ||
