Even the anti-nerds among us know tha th Enterprise is a Star Treck reference. “TNG” is an internet abreviation for Star Treck: The Next Generation, and Andrew is comparing Buffy’s curse os living the same moments over and over again to the android Data’s efforts to solve a similar problem in Season Five episode Cause and Effect.Incluso los no-raros de nosotros sabemos que el Enterprise es una referencia a Star Treck. “TNG” es una abreviatura de internet para Star Treck: The Next Gerenation, y Andrew está comparando la maldición de Buffy de vivir los mismos momentos una y otra vez con los esfuerzos del androide Data de resolver un problema similar en el episodio de la Quinta Temporada Causa y Efecto.

Picking up os Spike’s British accent, Andrew tries to find some common ground by citing two British sci-fi serials. The first is Doctor Who, one of the most prolific TV series ever, wich ran virtually non-stop from 1963 to 1996. Th second is the lesser-known Red Dwarf, a sci.fi comedy (the title refers to a mining spaceship of the same name), which debutes in 1988 and has so far produced eight seasons.Dándose cuenta del acento inglés de Spike, Andrew intenta encontrar algo en común con él nombrando dos series inglesas de ciencia ficción. Willow’s gone berkerk, and a terrified Andrew manages to string together three Star Wars references in a single sentence: Darth Vader’s a grimmie. Jawas were the little scavenger aliens from the original 1977 movie, who were massacred by Stormtroopers. “Midichlorians” are a more recent reference: they popped up in 1999’s Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, and they’re a hot-button topic with die hard fans. The mystical “Force” that give Luke Skywalker et al their powers, was originally portrayed as a kind of religion. In Menace, midichlorians were introduce as a scientific explanation: “Jedi particles” within a person anatomy. The more of midichlorians one posseses, the more Jedi abilities they’re bound to have.Willow se ha vuelto peligrosa, y un aterrorizado Andrew se las arregla para juntar tres referencias de Star Wars en una misma frase: Darte Vader es el feroz malo. Doctor Doom and Apocalypse are Marvel Comics baddies. Doom is the longtime arch-nemesis of the fantastic Four, while Apocalypse is a more recent addition to the X-Men rogue’s gallery. As Andrew graps for more villains, the best he can do is the corny Riddler from Batman comics. Then, to cap it off, naturally he adds a reference to the “Dark Side of the Force” from Star Wars.Doctor Doom y Apocalipsis son malos de los cómics de la Marcel. Doom es el tanto tiempo enemigo de los Cuatro Fantásticos, mientras que Apocalipsis es una adquisición más reciente de la galería de los pícaros de X-Men.
