"I am so glad that 2000 is almost over." Buffy said gulping down a glass of
red wine.
"You’re
not the only one, Slayer." Spike
moved towards the sulking Buffy, as he bent down to whisper in her ear.
"Oh
shut up!" Buffy growled at Spike, "You were definitely a part of the
2000 suckage factor so keep it buttoned.
Remember, the only reason you are here is that you have the only working
car. If the Xan-mobile hadn’t broken
down, you would be celebrating the New Year’s in that dank crypt of
yours."
Willow
had heard about the huge party that was happening in LA, and thought that this
would be the perfect chance for the friends to escape the dangers and gloom of
the hellmouth. Willow and Tara had
spent hours calling into a radio station to win the tickets. The girls were so happy when they won complete
VIP tickets to the New Years Eve party. Buffy had first resisted, but Joyce
practically threw Buffy out of the house, knowing her daughter desperately
needed a good time.
They were all so disappointed when they found out that they had no ride to the party. They had tried to borrow Joyce’s
car, but over the holiday, Joyce had a major buying tour of Sunnydale planned,
and she needed the car. Then Spike had
volunteered to take the bunch into LA for the night. The group initially said no, but when it was looking like the
trip was going to have to be cancelled, they finally agreed to take Spike up on
his offer.>
Spike
glared at her ready to say something when Willow came and grabbed Buffy’s arm,
"Come on you two. It’s almost
time."
Willow
dragged Buffy and Spike followed to the dance floor.
"Ten
. . . nine . . . eight . . ." Everyone shouted in unison in the Sheraton
Hotel New Years Eve party. Xander and Anya brought over glasses champagne for
everyone. Xander passed one to Buffy, Willow and Tara. Anya passed the other
glass in her hand to Spike.
"Seven
. . . six . . . five . . ." Tara and Willow smiled at each other; this
would be their first New Years together. Anya held on to Xander’s free hand.
The positive euphoric energy in the room was overwhelming. Except for one
depressed Buffy, who had already finished the glass of champagne in one gulp
and gestured to a waiter weaving in and out of the crowded dance floor with
glasses of champagne for another.
"Four
. . . three . . . two . . ." Streamers fell from the roof.
"ONE!"
Everyone cheered. Xander threw his arms
around Anya, bending her back in a dramatic dip as he kissed her
passionately. Willow and Tara, smiled
at each other and then Willow pulled Tara into her arms, kissing first one
cheek then the other and then finally connecting with Tara’s lips. Xander broke off the kiss with Anya, gaping
foolishly at the two girls, and then Anya put her hands on his face, forcibly
turning his attention back to her.
Spike looked at Buffy. She was
standing here on the dance floor surrounding by loving couples. As she watched her friends embrace, her eyes
filled with tears. This was the first
new years that Buffy had to spend alone.
She was still hurting over Riley leaving. Spike wondered what would be the correct thing to do here. He wanted to desperately kiss her, but just
as he was planning to lean over, she caught him looking at her.
“Don’t
even think about it, Spike.” Buffy
wipes her eyes, her face hardening as she looked at Spike. “I may be sad that I am all-alone tonight,
but that does not mean that I will even consider settling for you.
"Fine,
Slayer. I just thought that you might
like to have a friend, someone to talk to.”
“"Whatever."
Buffy snorted gulping down her next glass of champagne. " Riley dumped me.
The new big bad has been kicking my butt. And I’m stuck having New Year’s Eve
with you. My worst enemy is my date to a New Year’s party. I am pathetic, and
another friend is not what I need."
Buffy
went back to their table and sat down, Spike following after her. Thank God,
the drinks are free. Buffy thought as
she gestured to a passing waitress.
"Cosmopolitan
please. Right now, now lots and lots of
alcohol is what I need"
"Right
away, Miss." The waiter turned
away after getting Spike’s order.
"Humph.
Didn’t even ask for ID." Buffy grumbled to herself
Spike
looked at the Slayer. "Planning on
getting drunk tonight, Slayer."
"Yup."
"Red
told me about the beer incident."
"Well
hopefully there is no witchcraft involved in these drinks."
"So
what’s that, your eighth?" Spike said sitting in the chair next to her.
"Tenth.
I’m getting plastered tonight. And I got dibs on the bed." She looked at
him sternly.
"Like
hell. We’re not sharing a room." Spike said trying to sound disgusted. Who
am I trying to convince, he thought to himself.
"Yes,
we are. Xander and Anya are going to be like two wild rabbits tonight. And I
don’t even want to know what Tara and Willow will be doing," Buffy told
Spike.
"I
wouldn’t mind know . . ." Buffy’s glare stopped the rest of his sentence,
"Fine, but you only got the bed if you can . . . can…" The waitress down the drinks that they had
ordered, "… out drink me."
"You’re
a vampire, you can drink me under the table."
"Fine,
then for every drink that you have. I’ll have to drink two. Who ever falls
asleep or vomits first loses."
Buffy
thought for a moment. Then envisioned the large plush king-sized bed and the
absurd amount of pillows and said, "Deal."
"Good. I can’t wait to spend the night sleeping in
that large wonderful bed all alone." Spike waved at the waiter, motioning
him to bring over another drink.
"Oh,
please." Buffy rolled her eyes. The waiter took off towards the bar.
"One stipulation."
"What’s
that?"
"Only
mixed drinks. No shots of anything."
Spike
was about to protest, he took a deep unneeded breath and said "Fine."

1:00
am
"Oh
puhleese. I can dance better than girl." Buffy said matter-of-factly.
They
were looking out at the dance floor, poking fun at the people. “Would you just look at her, that dress
looks like it was poured on her. How
can anyone leave the house looking like that?”
She gestured to a girl walking across the dance floor.
"Wow,
she just looks good enough to eat. Face
it Buffy, you’re just jealous because you know that you wouldn’t look half that
good in that dress." Spike smirked at her as she tried to punch him in the
chest, but missed and hit his arm. He looked down at the table and counted the
littered empty glasses. The count was
now at six for Buffy and twelve for Spike.
Spike ordered another round of drinks.
Buffy watched the crowd dancing to the pulsating beat.
"The
next song to come on I gonna dancsh." Buffy giggled.
"Your
drunk." Spike smiled.
"No
I’m not." Buffy put her finger to her nose perfectly. And then stuck out
her tongue at Spike.
"Hey
guys. Done with the booze feast?" Xander asked, appearing at the table.
"Where’d
the girls go?"
"Bathroom."
"I’ll
be back." Buffy took off in the direction of the rest rooms.
* *
*
"Hey
Will."
"Buffy,
how you doing? Are you having fun with
Spike?”
"Very
funny, Will. You know, if you guys
weren’t so busy with coupley stuff, I wouldn’t have to be sitting with
him."
“Please,
Buffy. I know that you enjoy your
little arguments with Spike. You two
look like your having plenty of fun.”
"Yeah,
maybe later you can have orgasms like me and Xander" Anya’s voice called
out from behind a stall.
"Anya,”
Buffy shrieked, blushing wildly as Willow laughed.
“Come
on Buffy. Don’t tell me that you have
never thought about it. All those times
that you kicked his ass. Don’t tell me
that you have never noticed how good looking he is.”
“Willow…”
Tara emerged from a stall and gave Willow a questioning look.
“Don’t
worry, hun. Your more than enough girl
for me.” She kissed Tara and smiled at
the blond girl. “But even though I love
you and all, I’m not dead. I have
always thought that Spike was very good looking. There is just something about him that is very… well, sexy.”
“Willow!” Buffy looked shocked. “I have never thought about Spike as good
looking. I can’t believe that you have
thought about Spike that way. Hello,
Spike, evil undead, my mortal enemy.”
“Your
right Willow,” Anya said as she moved out of the stall, fixing her dress. “He is rather hot. I bet with all that vampire strength, he could do some rather
incredible things in bed. Like this one
time with Xander…”
“Anya,
we don’t really want to know what you do with Xander.” Willow finished washing her hands and moved
to fix her hair, which had become rather wild.
“Guys,
I hate to have to break this to you, but there is now way in hell that I would
ever sleep with Spike. Ughh, the
thought gives me the shivers.” Buffy
turned back to the mirror, reapplying her lipstick.
“Calm
down Buffy, we’re just teasing you.”
Willow had finished her primping and was now leaning against the sinks
watching Tara fix her make-up and waiting for her friends.
“Well,
it’s not funny.” Buffy and Anya
finished and the four girls left the room together.
* *
*
Xander
had returned to the table to wait for the girls to return from the
bathroom. He looked at the piles of
glasses on the table and the slightly inebriated Spike leaning on the table,
watching the dancers. Xander had
watched Spike and Buffy from the dance floor, noticing their usual bickering
and Buffy’s unusual consumption of drinks.
He had put two and two together.
"Don’t you dare try and take advantage of her." Xander warned
Spike.
"What?
Me?" Spike said innocently. "I never even thought about it."
"She’s
still trying to get over Riley."
"So."
"So?"
Was all Xander could get out because Buffy, Tara, Willow and Anya came
back. There was a collective gasp from
the men sitting at the table. All four
of them looked beautiful.
Tara
wore a strapless black dress with silk shawl. Her hair was in ringlets flowing
around her face. Her make-up light and natural looking. Typical Tara.
Meanwhile
Anya was looking like a killer in a long skintight red dress. It was a light
red then changed to a deeper red by the hemline. Her make-up matched the effect
that she was gunning for perfectly, her lipstick matched the deep red and her
eyeliner and eye shadow was dark around her eyes making them look browner than
usual, almost haunting.
Spike
smirked as he looked at Willow. Her blond hair off set her teal dress
perfectly. Yes, blond hair. She used a beauty spell to see how it would look.
The satin teal dress was wrapped with black lace. Two thin straps held the
piece of material to her body.
Red
always looked so thrown together. Except for that Halloween a couple of years
ago, Spike thought.
Then
there was Buffy. In a blue strapless form fitting dress that made her slightly
bronzed skin glow. The dress was stunning to say the least and had a slit along
her left leg that reached way up on her upper thigh.
Spike
felt weak as he looked at Buffy. He had
never seen her look so beautiful. She
still had no idea that he loved her, and Spike was glad. He thought that with a woman this beautiful,
the power that she could wield over a man in love was staggering. Spike had enough trouble trying to keep
Buffy from kicking his ass. If she
knew I’m in love with her. Wel,l it would be all over. I’d do anything for her, hell, I’d even
stake myself if she looked at me and asked me with that pouty expression on her
face. Spike shuddered at the
thought. He was angry with himself for
being so weak, but he couldn’t help himself.
Just looking at her sitting across from him, giggling and whispering
with Willow, he felt his chest tighten and became thinking childishly about
ways to get her attention.
Buffy
looked over at Xander and Spike.
Xander’s suit fit him perfectly. The charcoal black suit was actually
Calvin Klein and anyone with any fashion knowledge knew that this suit was way
out of Xander price range. However, Xander had been promoted to crew head of
the carpentry in the construction company. So with the raise he’d be receiving,
he could pay it off by the end of the month. Plus, Anya loved it, evidenced by
the way that she moved around the table to stand behind him, putting her arms
around his shoulders. She kissed the
top of his head and then kissed his lips as he looked up at her. Buffy smiled as he saw how loving they were
with each other.
Buffy
glanced over at Spike, sitting at the table, watching the dance floor and
sulking. It looked as though he had
bought a new suit. The black Armani
suit fit his slim body perfectly. He offset the darkness of the suit with a
light gray dress shirt and a dark gray Alfred Sung tie. She remembered what the girls had been
saying in the bathroom and blushed. She
had to admit he did look rather good sitting there. The black suit contrasted with his pale skin and blond locks. His hair normally was kind of gross, all
gelled so that it stuck down to his skull, but he had done something to it,
making it stick up in spikes and curls.
It actually looked rather good.
And he did have a pretty nice face, with those strong cheekbones and
full lips. He turned his head and
caught her looking at him. He looked at
her, arching one eyebrow questioningly.
She blushed brighter and then turned back to listen to the conversation
between Willow and Tara.
"Let’s
go dance Xander." Willow grabbed his arm and dragged Xander onto the dance
floor. Anya made a face at her and Tara laughed.
"Anything
to drink?" A waiter that approached their table asked.
"Sure,
Vodka and cranberry." Anya ordered.
"Godet,
please." Tara volunteered next.
Buffy
looked at Spike who shrugged his shoulders, "Three martini’s"
Spike
looked at her wide-eyed, "You ever had one of those before luv?"
"No.
Why?"
"Never
mind."
"Three
Buffy, isn’t that over doing it?" Tara asked.
"No.
One is for me and two are for Spike. We’re drinking to see wins the bed in our
room tonight. And to see who gets the couch." Buffy told them.
"Oh."
Tara said looking concerned.
"Get
strawberry Schnapps next, it tastes like strawberry ice cream." Anya
volunteered.
"Would
you like to dance?" A handsome man in his late twenties asked Tara.
"I
ahh . . . ahh . . ."
"Yes.
She said yes." Anya answered for Tara. Tara looked at her with sheer
fright. Buffy waved her hand shooing Tara away with the man. Anya laughed, but
then it was her turn.
"You
know baby, you are the millennium. You are 2001. You're fresh. You’re hot. And
full of prospects. Would you like to dance?"
Buffy’s
checks quivered with laughter, but she held back, because she didn’t want to
embarrass the tall, dark and handsome African American talking to Anya.
However, Spike wasn’t a tactful as Buffy. Anya looked at Buffy and Spike’s
faces, and then indignantly said ‘sure’. When she left, Buffy and Spike burst
out laughing.
"You’re
the millennium. Full of prospects?" Buffy gasped.
"What
a pick up line."
The
waitress headed back with their drinks. Buffy sipped the Martini and made a
disgusted face, which made Spike laugh.
"It
tastes awful." Buffy said
"I
could have told you that." Spike gulped the first one down.
"Buffy?
Buffy Summers."
Buffy
turned to see a girl that she didn’t recognize. "Yes."
"Oh
my god. It’s me, its Priscilla."
"Priscilla.
It’s good to see you." Buffy gritted through her teeth. Priscilla what
a slut, Buffy thought. How many times did she try to steal Tyler away
from me when we went to Hemery?
"You
look the same." Priscilla tried to comment.
"You
look bigger." Buffy smiled innocently.
"Well
yeah. I just had a baby two months
ago."
"Really?"
"Yeah
Tyler and I had a baby boy. His name is Austin."
"You
and Tyler?" Buffy looked in shock.
"Yes."
Priscilla loved Buffy’s reaction.
"Isn’t
that nice, honey?" Spike said moving around the table to stand behind
Buffy. He brushed her hair back from her face gently. Buffy was just about to
tell Spike to get lost when she realized what he was doing.
"Yes
it is, William. A child is such a HUGE responsibility and I’m glad that you and
Tyler felt that you were ready to have children." Buffy said sweetly to
Priscilla.
"Is
this your date?" Priscilla asked eyeing Spike up and down.
"I prefer significant other." Buffy corrected her.
"Oh."
"Priscilla,
we need to leave." Tyler called out her then saw Buffy. His eyes light up
and a large grin appeared on his face, "Buffy? You look good."
His
gaze on Buffy lasted a very long time, until Spike interrupted it.
"Hey
mate, the name is William." Spike extended his arm to Tyler. Tyler took it
unknowingly. Spike’s grip was strong as he squeezed his hand. His brain began
to throb. Damn chip, Spike let go of Tyler’s hand much to Tyler’s relief.
"So
Buffy, what have you been up to." Tyler’s interest in Buffy made Priscilla
very uncomfortable. Buffy smiled,
loving that fact that for one moment this girl was going to feel the way that
Buffy had felt all freshman year. It
was petty, but Buffy couldn’t help reveling in this girl’s pain. She leaned
over and kissed Spike, surprising herself as much as him. She felt him stiffen, and then return her
kiss. She broke away from him, noticing
that he looked a little stunned. And then turned back to the girl.
"College
and stuff." Buffy smiled, "And you with a baby and all. Wow."
"Yeah,
what a load of responsibility." Tyler smiled slightly, causing Priscilla
to glare at him.
"Hey,
how’d you do it? I’ve been trying here
for months with Buffy but she...Oufff." Spike started until a sharp elbow
hit him in the ribs.
"I
think that we should go, Tyler." Priscilla pulled his arm.
"Uhhh.
Sure. Buffy it was really great to see you again." Tyler said before
Priscilla yanked toward the door again.
As
soon as the couple was out of sight, Buffy downed the rest of the martini,
grabbed one of Spike’s, and did the same thing. She caught Spike looking at her.
“Oh, don’t get all excited Spike.
I just kissed you to make them jealous.
It will never happen again.”
“Please,
Slayer. Like kissing you is anything I
want to experience again. You really
should invest in some decent moisturizers.”
He returned to the other side of the table. “So are you going to order me new drink to replace the one’s that
you stole. I will be damned if you are
going to be sleeping on that bed tonight.”
“Watch
me.” Buffy grabbed the waitress and
ordered them another round, tipping her a twenty so that she would stick close
to their table.

3:00
am
The
party was winding down, people were either too drunk to stand or they went to
one of the many clubs open all night.
Willow
and Tara were the first to leave and soon after Xander and Anya followed.
Buffy
looked at Spike blurrily. In the few
hours that have passed, Spike and Buffy had moved way past tipsy and were now
drop dead drunk.
"We
should go too. Grab that bottle of wine and lettssss go," Buffy said
standing up.
Spike
looked up at her, "Why are there two of you."
"Oh,
get your dead dumbass up and lettsss go. You...you...Pollock." Buffy burst
out laughing causing the other drunken occupants to moan.
"Look
here...." Spike began to laugh as he picked up the bottle and followed
her, "You called me a Pollock."
Spike
and Buffy moved towards the elevators.
Buffy leaned against the doors, her hand over her eyes. “I feel a little dizzy. Is the world spinning for you?”
The
elevator dinged and the doors opened, spilling Buffy to the floor of the
elevator. Spike looked in at her and
laughed, stepping into the elevator and pushing the button for the twelfth
floor.
She
looked up at him and pouted. “It’s not
funny. Help me up you jerk.”
Spike
leaned over and reached out his hand.
She grasped it and tried to pull herself up. As she pulled, Spike lost his balance and fell over, landing on
top of her. He looked down at her,
laying beneath him, glaring at him, and felt an overwhelming urge to kiss
her. He leaned towards her and closed
him eyes, and felt a hand grasp his dick sharply.
“Don’t
even think about it buster. You do and
you’ll be wearing these as a hat.” She
pushed him sharply and stood up, towering over him and he lay on the floor.
“Jesus,
Buffy.” Spike stood up and move towards
her. “Why must you always be such a
bitch?” The elevator doors opened and
Spike stalked out, leaving her behind in the elevator.
“I
don’t know where you think that you are going.
I have the key to the room.” She
shouted after him as he walked to the door and stood there, waiting for
her. She joined him and then opened the
door. He brushed by her and moved into
the room, shedding his jacket.
“Did
you actually call me a bitch?” Buffy
moved towards Spike and shoved him against the wall. “You know, considering that I can always stake you and you can’t
lift a hand against me, I would be nicer to me if I were you.” She moved away from him, fanning herself
with her hand.
“God,
it is hot in here.” Buffy moved to the
sliding glass doors that separated the room from the balcony. She opened the door and the blinds,
breathing deeply as the cool air hit her.
“Please
Buffy. If you wanted me staked, you
would have done it a long time ago.
Plus, I think that you’re so pissed, you couldn’t hit the side of a barn
with Mr. Pointy.” He moved past around,
stretching out on the large bed.
Buffy
saw him lying on the bed and moved to the foot, look down at him lying there
peacefully, his eyes closed. “You
better not be passed out, Spike. My
buzz is wearing off and turning into one hell of a headache. The last thing that I need right now is you
have to fight with you.” Spike remained
on the bed, ignoring her.
Buffy
reached down, grabbed a hold of his foot, and in one move, pulled him completely
off the bed. His eyes opened as his
head hit the floor.
“Christ
Buffy. If it weren’t for this sodding
chip…” He picked himself off the floor and moved menacingly towards Buffy,
pushing her so that her back was against the wall and his face was inches from
hers.
“What
are you going to do Spike. We both know
that you’re a impotent little vamp.”
She stared straight at him, daring him to try something.
Spike
grabbed Buffy’s arms tightly. “I’ll
show you impotent.” He pushed her hard
against the wall and kissed her hard.
She struggled against his grip and then bit him hard, causing his lip to
bleed. He backed off her, holding his
hand over his bloody lip. She had
expected him to be furious, to perhaps even break out in vamp face, but he was
just staring at her, a wounded look on his face. Some little place that she didn’t know existed inside her heart
hurt at the sight of that look on his face.
“You
know what Buffy, I was a pretty decent bloke, taking you guys up here, keeping
you company while your friends ignored you.
The least that you could do is be a little grateful.”
Buffy
couldn’t stand seeing him look at her that way. It was the same disappointed look that Giles always gave her, but
slightly different. Disappointment
tinged with something else, something she couldn’t place. She moved out to the balcony and he
followed.
“So
what are you saying? That I should kiss
you out of gratitude? News flash,
Spike, you repulse me. There is no way
that I would ever kiss you.” She turned
away from him and looked out at the city twinkling below them.
“That
is such bullshit, Buffy. I know that
you are attracted to me. I have a
vampire’s sense of smell, you idiot.
Every time you bust into my crypt and start to kick my head in, I can
smell the lust on you.”
Spikes
seized her arm, swung her around, and pushed himself up against her, pinning
her against the balcony railing. “I can
smell you, I know what you want. He
leaned in and kissed her hard, his lips pressing against her struggling mouth,
forcing his tongue inside to caress her teeth and to fight against her
tongue. She tried to push him away but
he held her tight and continued to fight against her will. He felt her struggling stop as she sagged
against him, giving up. He broke the
kiss and looked down at her.
“I
know what you want, Slayer.” He reached
up to caress her cheek.
She
looked at him, her brows knitting together as she looked inside her self. Could Spike be right? She looked at him standing before her,
his chest heaving from emotion rather than the need for oxygen. She heard the common arguments start to echo
in her mind. He’s a killer, evil,
gross. There is nothing attractive
about Spike. She shook her head to
clear the thoughts out and then looked at him as though she was seeing him for
the first time. She looked at him, his
dark blue-gray eyes staring into hers, the smell of cologne mixed with musk,
his hands cold and strong on her bare skin, and she felt something break inside
of her, some part of her resolve. She
looked at him, really looked and realized that she had been lying to herself
for so long. She had run away from
anything that reminded her of that night of passion with Angel, and the
horrible consequences that emerged from what they had shared. Even though Spike and Angel were nothing
alike, the feeling of cold skin on her hot body, the lack of movement and sound
from a dead chest were enough to make Buffy afraid of what Spike had to offer
her. She struggled to think clearly
through the haze of confusion and alcohol.
Spike
looked down at Buffy standing still in his arms. He could see that he had finally broken through a few of the
walls that she had placed around her.
He saw her struggle with her awareness of her need for him, and her fear
of him and other men, and he sighed as he captured her eyes with his and
caressed her cheek.
“Don’t
fight this Buffy, don’t think. Just let
your body feel and it will tell you what you want.” He leaned down and kissed her again, this time his lips were
gentle and he let her open to him, rather than forcing himself on her. Her mouth parted and her tongue tentatively
slipped towards his. He met her inside
his mouth and she sighed as she felt her hot tongue enveloped in his
coldness. He felt her arch her back and
press up against him as the last of her reservations fled under her growing
arousal. She moved her hand up to his
chest, caressing the taunt muscles before moving up to his neck. One hand slid over his face, tracing a line
along the chiseled jaw and cheek and the other slid around and through the
short platinum curls. He slid his arms
tighter around her, his mouth tingling as she slid her tongue along his teeth
and along his tender palate. He lost
himself in the feel and the taste of her.
Buffy
moved her hand back to his chest and with one sharp movement, pushed Spike away
from her. He gaped in astonishment as
she moved around him and through the door to the hotel room. He stood there for a minute, his mind
buzzing and his body humming, indignant that she would get him this excited and
then push him away. He turned around
and moved into the room just in time to see her walk into the bathroom and shut
the door. He marched to the door and
tried the knob. Locked, the bitch had
locked herself in there. Spike started
to pound on the door as he heard running water.
“Buffy, you are not done in here. You just can’t leave a bloke all excited
like this. What the hell are you doing
in there?” He continued to pound as he
heard the water turn off. Spike was
just about to attempt to break down the door when the lock clinked and the door
opened. Buffy was standing in the
doorway, naked, her blond hair down and flowing around her shoulders. Spike was stunned by the sight of her. She was glorious in the soft light of the room,
her hair glimmering and her tanned skin glowing. She walked moved to him, and laid her hands on his chest.
“Now
Spike, for someone who is over a hundred years old, you sure don’t have any
patience.” She pushed him backwards
until his legs hit the edge of the bad and he sat down. She pushed him back and then climbed over
him, straddling him as he lay there stunned and speechless below her.
She laughed at the look on his face. “If you were alive, I would tell you to
breath.”
“Buffy.” Spike moaned as she leaned down. “I need you so much. I love you.”
“I
know, Spike. Now shush.” She moved her hands so that they were on
either side of him and kissed him passionately. For a moment, he was frozen, and then he broke through his
surprise and threw his arms around her, pulling her down so that she was lying
on top of him. He rolled her over and
pinned her under him, moving his mouth from her lips to suck and lick along her
jaw. She gasped as he moved from her
jaw to her neck moving his mouth along her pulsing jugular. He moved down to the scars left from Angel,
paused and then licked the tender scar tissue, nipping at it with blunt
teeth.
Spike
knew how the scars remained extremely sensitive and played with her for a
moment, smiling as his treatment made her gasp. She brought her leg up to fasten them around his back, her hips
pressing up against him. He could feel
the heat of her sex through the thin material of his slacks and he felt himself
harden to the point of pain. He moaned
and moved his attentions lower to her firm small breasts. He took one nipple in his mouth sucking on
it as he shifted his weight to one hand and brought the other to cup the
unattended breast. He caught the nipple
between his teeth, bit it lightly, and then began to flick the swollen bud with
his tongue. She moaned his name, and
began to rub her moist heat against him.
It was almost more than he could stand.
Spike
moved his mouth down, laying moist kisses along her flat stomach. She giggled again as he kissed a path around
her bellybutton before licking the small crevice. Humm, the Slayer is ticklish.
Spike mused on this interesting detail as he continued working down
towards the dark tuft of curls that were nestled between the Slayer’s
thighs. Buffy realized where Spike was
heading and tried to pull him back up, murmuring no between clenched
teeth.
“Buffy,
let me do this for you.” She acquiesced
as he gently parted her thighs, opening her up. He moved up her body, kissing
her as he slid one hand between her legs, parting the moist folds and sighing
as he felt her warm juices flow over his questing fingers. He looked down at her, smiled and spoke into
her ear.
“Trust
me, Buffy.” Spike moved down her body
again and parted her, placing his head between her legs. She moaned and opened her legs wider,
propping her legs up on the bed. He
opened his mouth and sucked her tender clit into his mouth, rolling it around
and flicking it with his tongue. She
immediately began to gasp and he felt her body tighten, he paused as she fought
to control herself. When he had sensed
that she was now backing off from the orgasm, he continued playing with her
clit and her breathing began to quicken.
Spike
moved away from her swollen nubbin and she moaned and whispered something
disapproving. He smiled at her and then
moved to her quivering entrance, sliding one finger into the tightness. He felt her muscles contract around his
finger and he removed it to replace the one with two, and then three. He felt her body tighten and respond to his
entry and he longed to be inside her.
He moved his fingers in and out of her, and bent to again take her clit
in his mouth. This time he would not
stop until she had come. The stoked her
and suckled her as she began to pant heavily, gasping and repeatedly moaning
his name. He loved the sound of her
calling “Spike, Spike” in that heavenly tortured voice. Spike felt Buffy tighten beneath him and he
gave her clit a few quick licks as she came explosively, screaming his
name. He continued moving his fingers
inside of her as her body shook with the force of the orgasm and then moved
back up her shivering body to kiss her passionately. She trembled again as he kissed her, her mouth reacting to her
lingering juices.
“You
like that, luv. Here have a
taste.” He brought his hand up and
Buffy eagerly sucked the moist fingers into her mouth, licking the last of her
musk off him. They lay there for a few
moments, tasting each other as the last of her shudders worked through her
flushed body.
Finally
unable to control himself any longer, Spike moved off of her and stood at the
foot of the bed and began to strip of his clothes, slowly and piece by piece,
happy to give her a show. She slid back
towards the head of the bed, moved into her elbows, and watched as he revealed
himself. The shirt came off first
followed by the white undershirt. She
looked at his chest, the muscles tight and smooth under the white skin. Buffy loved looking at him. I can’t believe that I never realized how
beautiful he is. His body was
smaller than Angel’s or Riley’s, but he was well muscled and lean, reminding
her of a cat, some great jungle panther.
Next came the pants, and as he unbuttoned them, his cock burst free,
unfettered by underwear. He was large
and rather thick, which was rather unexpected.
Perhaps this is why he is always so cocky. Buffy giggled as the unattended pun ran
through her mind.
Spike
looked offended, “What so funny, luv?”
“Nothing
Spike. Ohh, don’t worry. There is nothing here that is wrong. Now quit standing there glaring and come to
me. I’m getting lonely.”
“Happy
to oblige you, pet.” He jumped on the
bed and she giggled as he threw himself on to her, shoving his head between her
breasts. She grasped his head and
kissed him, their silliness evaporating as their passion mounted again. She rolled him over and pinned him
down. He tried to move her around again
so that he was on top but she shoved him back.
“Don’t
move.” He stopped struggling and lay
there, waiting for whatever she had planned.
She
smiled and bent her head, kissing along his jaw and moving down his neck to his
shoulder and collarbone. He moved his
hands up to touch her, but she grabbed them and pushed them over his head.
“Stay,”
she growled and returned her attentions to his chest. He learned his lesson and
kept his hands above his head and let he have her way with him.
She
kissed a wet trail down his chest and then sucked a nipple into her mouth,
playing with it before giving it an experimental bite. He moaned, but clearly wanted more, so she
continued licking and sucking and biting him until the bud was red and aching
and his chest was heaving. She
smiled. Apparently, sometimes he forgot
he didn’t need to breathe. She turned
to the other nipple and by the time she was finished, he was gasping and
writhing against her, desperate to touch her.
She sat up and felt his heavy cock pressing against her ass. She lifted herself up and moved so that she
was hovering just above him, purple head of his cock just inches from her moist
folds.
“What
do you want, Spike,” she whispered, teasing him.
“God,
Buffy please. Please, I need to be
inside you.”
“Well,
since you said the magic word.” She
lowered herself, guiding him as he felt the head of his cock slid inside
her. They both gasped- her at his size
and him at her heat- and then he cried out as she took his entire length inside
her. He lost the ability to control
himself and reached up to grasp her body as she rode him. She was so hot, he felt as though his whole
body was on fire. He hadn’t been with
someone alive in so long, he had forgotten how wonderful it was to be
surrounded by living warmth. He pulled
her down so that her chest was tight against his and then rolled her over onto
her back, taking control as they resumed their rhythm.
Buffy
was in ecstasy. She gave the control
gladly to Spike as she felt the waves of passion roll over her. She felt him moving above her, his cold cock
smoothly sliding in and out of her body.
She crossed her legs over him and raised her hips up so that his every
thrust rubbed her swollen clit. She
moved with him, as she felt the passion rise and threaten to overflow. She opened her eyes and looked at him. Her eyes met his stormy blue eyes and she
felt the waves of orgasm hit her.
Spike
looked down at Buffy, met her eyes, and felt her stiffen below him. He continued thrusting as her cunt tightened
around him and he struggled to control himself as she cried out beneath him. He thrust a few more times, but the heat and
contractions of her body were too much and he growled as he came, his dead seed
shooting deep inside her. He collapsed
on top of her, his body quivering with the force of orgasm.
They
lay there for a moment, as their bodies calmed down. Buffy ran her hands up and down his back, feeling the cold skin
slick with sweat. Spike just closed his
eyes and inhaled the scent of her, loving the feel of her warm body pressed
against his. After a moment of enjoying
the tender embrace, Spike rolled off Buffy and moved over to the side of the
bed where his cigarettes lay in the pocket of his pants. He lit one and offered the pack to her. To his surprise, she took one, and he lit it
for her. She took a deep drag and then
her small frame shook as she coughed the smoke out.
“Don’t
breath in so deep, luv.” He smiled at her and then got up to fetch a glass of
water. She took the glass gratefully
and took a drink, her coughs tapering off.
She looked at him apologetically as she stubbed the smoke out in an
ashtray that she had found in the nightstand.
“I don’t think that I was made to smoke.”
“That’s
alright, pet, more for me.” He smiled
again.
He
sat there, smoking his cigarette, looking at her sitting against the headboard,
her skin still flushed. She seemed to
be thinking about something, she kept nibbling at her bottom lip.
“What
are you thinking about, pet. Good
thoughts I hope.”
“Spike…”
She trailed off, unsure about what to say.
He waited for her to find the words.
“You love me?” She said it half
inquisitively and half fearfully.
“Well,
I hadn’t planned on having this little conversation now,” Spike nodded. “I love you.”
“But
when, and how, and why,” Buffy whispered as she looked down at her hands.
“Well,
obviously, I wasn’t in love with you all those times that I tried to kill
you. I’m sorry about that by the
way. I don’t know why or when exactly,
but I think that that is why things never worked out with Dru. She knew that I loved you way before I
did. I got this damn chip in my head, I
started helping you and the scoobies, and in the midst of all that, I started
wanting to help you and worry about you and shit. I don’t know why I started to love you instead of wanting you
dead like I should have, but I couldn’t help my feelings.”
He
looked at her, his eyes willing her to look at him instead of her hands, to
give him a look that said that there was something to hope for, something in
this night that wasn’t just about the sex.
She finally looked up at him, and he searched her eyes for some glimmer
of love that could give him hope. When
he saw only confusion, he sighed and rose up, tying a stray sheet around his
waist. He moved over to the balcony
doors and walked out. She knew that she
had disappointed him; that he wanted something from her that she was unsure that
she could give. She was so confused;
she had no idea what she wanted. She
closed her eyes and sat up, crossing her legs in front of her. Giles had taught her that whenever she was
faced with a decision to make and was unsure, to meditate for a few minutes on
the problem and then the answer would come to her. She closed her eyes to find the answer that she sought. She copied Spike and grabbed another sheet
and wrapped it around herself, thinking idly, they really go over board on
the bedding here.
Spike
was out on the balcony, chain-smoking and looking out at the lights below. She moved behind him, threading her arms
around his waist. He stiffened against
her and spoke.
“Buffy look, I didn’t mean to…”
“Spike,
shut up for a minute. I have some things
that I have to say, and I need to get them out before you talk. Kay.”
He
turned and nodded at her and leaned against the railing.
She
paused, considering what she wanted to say.
“Spike, I don’t love you.” He
looked heartbroken and opened his mouth to speak. “Shush. Listen, I only
found out about all this tonight. It’s
kinda surreal finding out that your attracted to your mortal enemy, and that he
is in love with you. You have to give
me a little time to deal with this.”
She
looked him over, standing there with his cigarette forgotten in one hand,
looking for all the world as though his dog had died. It broke her heart to see him looking so sad. She had to tell him the rest before he did
something stupid like jumping of the balcony.
“I
never said that I couldn’t love you.
For a long time, I have hated you.
Until tonight. Tonight, I
realized that there are feelings for you that I’ve kept buried deep inside
me. I think for the first time that I
could love you. And, I know that I am
madly attracted to you. I don’t know if
that is what you need to hear, but that is all that I can give you tonight.”
She
stepped back and looked at him, watching the expressions move across his
face. He looked at her, sighed and
turned back towards the city. She moved
next to him, leaning against the railing so that their arms touched
lightly. She looked out at the
twinkling lights and waited for him to speak.
“Aww,
Buffy. I loved you while you were
pounding my face into the ground. I
suppose that I can love you even if you don’t love me. But,” Spike turned to her and drew her
towards him; “I need to be near you, to feel you like this.”
“Ohhh,”
Buffy sighed as he trailed light kisses on her neck. “That is very ok. Why
don’t you take me into that room and ravage me.”
“How about I ravage you here.”He pushed her back against the railing and place an arm on each side of her, leaving her no
ability to flee.
“But Spike, people can see.”
"Yeah,pet, they can."
Spike kissed her as the two white sheets were thrown off the balcony and floated slowly to the ground twelve stories below.
The End
