Summary: Just an important moment between our very favorite couple. Buffy and Spike have the house to themselves and use it to their advantage. Post-"The Musical" by several months, nerds are no more.
Disclaimer: I do not own the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel (The Series). All of the characters belong to Joss Whedon, Mutant Enemy, 20th Century Fox, et al.

"Bye," Spike waves at Little Bit as she walks to Janice's Mom's car. He waits in the doorway until Dawn is in the car before he turns and shuts the front door.

The door hasn't even fully closed before he feels strong hands close on his shoulders and pull him around. He feels his body tense, reading to defend himself but an attack never comes. Instead, he feels the press of warm lips and the weight of a hot body.

He smiles into the kiss, thrilling that she's taken the initiative. Slowly, he raises his arms and brings her closer. She surprises him further by gentling the kiss.

She suddenly breaks the kiss and pulls him away from the door. She quickly strips his clothes from his body and then none to gently tells him to sit. He obeys her with raised eyebrows.

She watches him, causing a thrill to chase itself around his body as she takes her clothes from her body. His frown fleetingly pulls his brows together as he watches her. It's as if she's bearing herself to him, and not just physically . . . there's more.

His eyes don't leave her face as she bends down and practically crawls onto his lap. Instead of just taking him as he usually does, she just wraps her arms around him and holds him. Her hands move over his back in a soothing motion.

Worry washes through him. He wraps his arms around her, holding her close. "What's wrong, love?" His voice sounds loud in the silence that had descended on the house.

Her arms pause in their movements. Then she brings them up around his neck. "I . . . just want to hold you."

"Ok, love." He wonders where this is coming from. Was it the scare of his almost leaving? Or the wedge that still seems to be between them because of Willow? Or was it the recent problems with Little Bit they had?

As they sit naked in the foyer, her hands continue to roam his back. With the soothing touch, he soon leans his head on her shoulder. His eyes drift shut.

"Spike?" Buffy's voice pulls him from his dozing state. He mumbles something. "Do you want me?"

He adjusts his head on her shoulder with a frown. "I always want you."

"Do you still love me," she all but whispers. He feels her turn her face into his shoulder.

"You know I do." He begins soothing her back with the same circular motions of hers.

"Do I?" She asks.

Gently, he pulls back on her shoulders. He frowns as he stares into her sad face. She drops her eyes to his chest. He's not sure how to reply or the reply that had come forward would be too harsh for this situation.

"Or…" She pauses, for so long he's almost sure that she's not going to continue. "Maybe the question is, do you know that I love you?"

He feels the question wash over him as he stills. Does he know? No, she hasn't said or hinted anywhere near it, but does he know?

Everyday over the last few months, they've spent hours together, trying to repair the damage Willow had done. Slowly, they had built their relationship back up but things have been different. Now that he thinks about it, how they interact has changed as well. He hasn't taken the time to reflect and see if these changes were a good or bad thing.

"In a way." He says, his eyes focusing on her. He feels like jumping for joy, and demanding that she say it over and over again, but somehow, he gets the feeling that would do more harm them good. Later, then he would make his demands.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spike walks into their room with a bowel of ice and a hand towel.

"There's only one good thing about the summer." Buffy lies on her stomach, naked as the day she was born.

"And what's that?" Spike sits down next to her.

"Sun bathing." She starts to turn onto her back but his hand in the middle of her back stops her.

Putting the bowel of ice on the nightstand, he takes a piece of the ice and holds it over her back.

"What are you doing?"

Spike smiles as he slowly lowers the ice to her back. "Cooling you down." His words leave his mouth just as the frozen cube of water touches her spine. She gasps and arches into the mattress. He runs the cube down her spine and into the crevice of her rear. She gasps again. "Does that feel good, love?"

"Mmm," she moans.

"Glad to hear it," he murmurs. Leaning down, he licks her from the top of her round rear to the nape of her neck. He puts the ice cube back into the bowel then covers her with his body. He pauses only briefly to remove the towel from around his waist.

"Mmm, you feel good." She mumbles into the pillows.

"You too, love," his mouth moves over her shoulder, biting her softly.

He stretches up onto his arms, allowing her to roll onto her back. Immediately, he comes back over her. Her arms slide around his neck and gently pulls him down into her embrace. Their kiss is quietly desperate, a carry over of the moment spent in the foyer. He moves down her body, encircling her with his arms, he takes her pert breast into his mouth.

He comes back up to her mouth as he enters her. They moan into the others' mouth. He rolls them onto their sides and pulls her leg up over hip, pulling her as close as physically possible.

"I love you," she buries her face in her shoulder.

"I know, love," his voice is husky as he gently begins to move with her.

He moves his hand down her body to cover her buttock, pulling her closer and controls the pace of their lovemaking. Their bodies become silk with sweat. His hand moves down her thigh to her knee, holding her leg higher up on his hip.

"Ok, so there are two things good about summer." She moans.

Spike rolls onto his back, taking her with him. His hands slide down to her rear. She kisses him.

The End

A/N:This story turned out different then how I expected when I first appoarched it but I think it's better for it. However, I think it leaves a lot of unanswered questions
