Inside, the car shuddered as it hit a pothole somewhere in the dark night. The only illumination came from the passing streetlights. Buffy kept her eyes ahead on the road not daring to lay eyes on Angelus. Silent tears streaked down her cheeks. She immediately wiped them away. She didn't dare leave them there for a second. She didn't want Angelus to see how much he had hurt her. "Oh c'mon Buff. I was only having a little fun." His features turned soft. It reminded her so much of her Angel. But she knew that was his intent.
He reached up to brush away a piece of hair that had fallen into her eyes. But she caught his hand and flung it back at him. "You think you still have this psychological power over me. But you're wrong. You don't have that power over me anymore!" The words were forced through her gritted teeth. She looked at him with so much anger that Angelus thought if he didn't look away he would be incinerated right then and there.
He kept his eyes steadily on the road when he replied. "But Buffy, dearest, don't you understand that I do?"
"No you don't. You haven't had that power over me for a long time." She replied in a disgusted tone as she turned to him.
"Really? Then why did you call me Angel back at the office? Or would you like me to tell you why?" He snickered.
"So sue me, I slipped but that doesn't mean anything. It was an honest mistake." She looked at him anger rising.
"That's just it Buff. Your "slip" shows that you still think of me as Angel. Your wonderful Angel. Only with a little flaw. Like I'm only temporarily possessed by some evil. Like he'll come back and you'll live happily ever after. Don't you understand?" He looked her up and down, "Well I suppose you don't. But before our little excursion is over, you'll understand that you belong to me, and ONLY me. And not your precious Angel." He said as he stopped at a red light. "Now you're going to be a good girl and let me put the blind fold on you right?" Angelus said with his best Angel face as he opened the dashboard and pulled out a piece of red silk cloth. "But I gotta tell you, truthfully I'm hoping you're not." An evil smile played across his face.
Buffy leaned in close as if she were about to kiss him "Are you going to punish me if I don't? Cuz I know that would make you happy. And I would rather be dead then make you happy." She hissed in an exaggerated, meek, girlie voice.
"Oh c'mon lover, that was just cold. I'm going to have to make you beg for mercy for that one." He smiled crazily as he parked the car and jumped on her.

Phones ringing, doctors speaking jargon, doctors shouting for tools, patients gossiping, machines humming and bleeping on and on, feet shuffling through the never ending corridors, cries of panic, and cries of pain and weeping. The hospital was always filled with that incessant commotion. It reeked of death and rancid milk. *They could move a hospital into a cemetery and nobody would notice the difference. They should just call this a pre-cemetery. It would do the name hospital more justice.* Wesley thought to himself as he waited for the doctor to come back to update his previous post on how Riley was doing. When Angelus shot Riley, he aimed for his chest but instead got Riley in his upper arm. It had hit a main artery, so there had been alot of blood. But Wesley got to the phone in time and called and ambulance.
A tall man in blue, blood stained scrubs stopped in front of Wesley. "Mr. Price, we've done all we can for Mr. Finn. It's up to him whether he'll make it through the night or not." He stated mechanically to Wesley. And just as quickly as he had come, he had gone.
"Wesley?" shouted a familiar voice from down the hall. The voice belonged to his redheaded friend. She sprinted down the hall to him. She was followed by Xander, Anya, Tara, Giles, and finally Spike and Dawn. Willow ran right into his open arms, and they embraced in a quick friendly bear hug. "What happened?" She asked as they hugged. Willow noticed that when she asked the question Wesley hugged harder. "Wesley?"
He sighed deeply. "Angel turned. He must have had a moment of true happiness when he saw Buffy alive again. He ambushed us. He knocked me out, and shot Riley. He's got Buffy. He took her." He looked towards the others. "Riley got shot in the arm. But it hit a major artery and he's lost a massive amount of blood. The doctors don't know if he'll live through the night. Fred, Gunn, and Cordelia weren't there thank God. They were out on business then. If you want to talk to them they're downstairs in the cafeteria trying to eat something. " Wesley informed her then directing his gaze to the others.
"Will, I'm going to bring Dawn down to get some munchies." Xander piped up knowing that he should get Dawn out of there. He quickly grabbed Dawn and pulled her towards the elevators.
"Wait for us." Anya called to Xander and Dawn as she yanked at Tara's shirt, as she sprinted towards the elevator. Tara quickly followed. This left Giles, Willow, Spike, and Wesley in the hall.
There was a long silence for a few beats. It was Spike who finally broke the silence. "So he's got Buffy mate? So what are we going to do about it?" Spike asked calmly.
Wesley looked up at him. "I don't know. I don't know where he took her. I was just coming to when he took her." He looked down at the floor ashamed. "For all we he could have taken half way across the country by now." He paused for a beat. "Since when do you care if Buffy dies of not Spike? Didn't you try to kill her many times?" he asked quizzically.
Spike seemed to be uncomfortable with the question. "Well yes I did try to kill her many times. But, I sort of, well mate what I'm trying to say is that I.. well I -" But he was cut off by Willow.
"He has a thing for Buffy." She stated tonelessly. "What are we going to do?" She asked distantly. She was obviously thinking.
"Well first of all we must think like Angel." Giles suggested. Spike sighed "That's just the thin. It isn't Angel. It's AngelUS. So you have to be able to think like him. Not like Mr. Fuzzy Feelings Nancy man." Spike laughed darkly. "He's an entirely different demon without his bloody soul."
"Ok. Great! No all we have to do is come up with a place where would we go if we were an evil vampire bent on torturing the slayer by killing off the people she cares about the most, and making her see both the love of her life and her one true loathed enemy at the same time to confuse her, while possibly trying to turn her into a vampire? Yet this place has to be eerily romantic and horrifying at the same time." Willow asked the others. Wesley stroked his chin while Giles took off his glasses and massaged the bridge of his nose and eyes.
"I think I know where he took her." Spike piped in.

"Get the HELL off of me!" Buffy screamed at the top of her lungs as she tried to unpin her arms from Angelus.
"What you don't like?" He laughed cruelly. "Relax lover, I'm just trying to put the blindfold on you. Didn't you tell me you liked it rough?" He laughed as he finished tying the blindfold on her and got off of her. "Now let me see your arms. Or do I have to show you who's boss?" He whispered in her ear.
"Why are you tying me up? Where are we going? Don't you realize that I'm just going to get out of the restraints and get away from you?" She asked curiously.
Angel smiled. "No you won't. Not if I have insurance." He cackled.
Buffy looked at him confused. "Insurance?" Her eyes pleading for an answer. This only made Angelus's grin widen.
"Of course. Do you think I would have kidnapped you without having something to keep you from running away? Give me some credit. I am an evil, cold blooded killer." He paused for a beat. "Well, I have some minions of mine getting it as we speak. Well Buff, aren't you just dying to know what that insurance is?" He asked looking at her.
"Yes." Buffy replied through her gritted teeth.
"Well, I thought to myself, what better insurance than the precious little sister of the slayer? I mean c'mon. You already have proven you would do anything for her. That's why we're here right now isn't it?"
"Ha! That's where you're wrong. You don't have her. You don't even know where the hell she is right now!" Buffy laughed.
"You're right. I don't have her yet. But I know exactly where she is. She's right here in the good ol' City of Angels." He said slowly.
"H- how did you know that?" She asked puzzled.
Angel tied her ands behind her back as he spoke. "Well, I lurk in the sewers. I hear things. Things like you talking on the phone with Willow. And right now she and the other Scoobies should be at the hospital checking up on Wesley, or hey you never know maybe i.d.ing Riley's dead corpse." He laughed.
"You sneaky, spiteful, dead, son of a bitch. I swear to God I will find a way to kill you." Her voice was full of fury, yet completely calm.
"What can I say? You bring out the best of me. And no matter what you say, you can't hurt me. If you hurt me, you hurt your precious Angel. So I have proven again that I still have power over you." He laughed as he started the car up again.

Dawn stared down at her chocolate pudding and poked it. But everyone was too wrapped up into talking about Angelus that no one noticed. No one but Queen Cordelia herself. "Dawn? What's wrong?" Cordelia asked.
Dawn stopped poking at her pudding. She looked deep into Cordelia's concern filled eyes. She was shocked at how much Cordelia had changed in just three years. Queen Cordelia actually cared about people other than herself. The thought itself intrigued Dawn. "Nothing." She sighed looking back down at her pudding.
"Really? Cuz you're wearing your something's-wrong-face." Cordelia prodded.
"Well.. it's just that.. it's just that Angel kidnapped Buffy and all were doing is sitting around talking about in. We're not trying to figure out how to get her back!" She said exasperated.
"Don't worry. We're going to find a way to rescue her. But first we need details on how it happened so we know what to expect." She explained soothingly.
"How's my little Dawnny doing? Am I going to have to take out the... CLAW?" Xander asked as he whipped out his right hand and held it like it had a mind of it's own. "Oh no! Dawn! Run! It's got a life of it's own! You better save your self while you still can!" He yelled while a big dopey grin spread across his face and his hand headed towards her stomach. He tickled her as much as he could, while still keeping her from passing out with laughter.
"O- o- ok.... Xan- Xa- Xander- I'm- go- good!" She yelped through laughter as she tried desperately to get away. Xander quickly stopped tickling her.
"Huh? I guess I had control over it the whole time!" He stated sarcastically.
"Dawn. I know what will make you feel better." Tara stated as she smiled shyly at her. "Here." She said while she pulled a puppy out of her coat pocket using her magic. "You can keep him. But he's going to need a name." She smiled sweetly as Dawn carefully and slowly took the puppy from Tara.
"Thank you Tara." Dawn thanked her as she held the puppy in her arms. Tara just smiled back sweetly.
"Hey, Tara? How the hell did you do that?" Gunn asked nodding his head towards Dawn.
"W-well," Tara stuttered "I just used my magic."
"You did pulled a puppy out of your coat with magic! Damn girl you're good!" Gunn replied smiling at her.
"Excuse me. But a young redhead, I think her name was Willow, from upstairs sent me down here to find a girl named Dawn. She would like to have a word with her." Came a squeaky voice from an old lady who was in her late sixties. She was wearing a white uniform so Dawn guessed she was a nurse.
"I'm Dawn." She said to the nurse as she stroked her puppy. "Did she want to see me now?" She asked.
"Yes. I'm sorry if it is in any way inconvenient for you. But she told me to come get you." Said the nurse helplessly.
"All right." Dawn said as she handed the puppy over to Tara. The puppy started to lick Tara's face. Dawn stood up and walked over to the nurse and followed her.

Dawn had been following the nurse for over five minutes. The nurse had lead them down to a dimly lit hallway. "Ummm... shouldn't we have taken that hallway right there?" Dawn asked as they passed the hallway leading to the elevator. But the nurse didn't answer. "Hello? Did you hear me?" Dawn asked as she stepped directly in front of her blocking her way.
"Of course I did. But I chose not to answer it." Said the nurse tonelessly.
"Umm... ok. Why did you choose not to answer it?" Dawn asked as two figures emerged from the dark and grabbed her. One held her down while the other tied her. They hissed and growled at her, showing their real faces as they did so.
"That's why." The nurse laughed bearing her fangs.
"What are you going to do to me?" Dawn asked panicked.
"We're going to take you to see the Angelic One little girl." She hissed as she snapped her fingers. As she snapped her fingers the two figures picked Dawn up and dragged her out the door.

The car pulled to a stop. There was only silence as the car engine was cut. But the silence didn't last long. "We're here lover." Angelus sneered as he pulled off her blindfold. The first thing Buffy noticed was that it was nearly dawn. But once she realized where they were she let out a gasp. They were back in Sunnydale. They were parked right in front of the mansion "I thought you'd like it. I know, I know, we've been here before. But that's the beauty of it all. This was all your friends are in LA and have no idea that you're all the way out here. Isn't that just genius?" Angelus cried out with glee. He looked over at Buffy who was now just staring back at him in horror. "Though in your case it doesn't look too good for our heroine, now does it?" As he asked a morbid smile spread across his face. "Maybe we should go inside and make sure it's cozy. It has to be perfect for when out guest arrives." He chuckled.
Making sure Angelus wasn't aware of what she was doing, Buffy had been running the rope back and forth across a sharp piece of metal spring that was poking out of the back of the seat she now occupied. "You know what lover, I don't think I like your tone of voice." Buffy said as she brought up her newly untied hand and slammed it down into his face. "And I don't think I'll be in need of you or your insults for a while." Another fist was slammed into his face. "And you know what. I'm not YOUR lover damn it! I would never in a million years be YOUR lover!" She screamed while kicking Angelus out of the car. "I-" Buffy started but then quickly stopped as she noticed that through the coughs of him choking on his own blood he was chuckling. "What?" she asked throwing a look of disgust and hate in his direction.
"Well, you think that you are going to leave now? C'mon Buff. I can't let you do that. I already have Dawn. You won't let her get hurt. It's not you. It's not your nature. That's what sparks my curiosity. You want everyone to think you don't care. You want people to think you hate this gig. But you know you care as much as you know that deep down inside you really do love to slay. It's just in your nature. And yet you hide it all so well." Angelus struggled to get it said through chuckles and coughs.
"You think I'm stupid don't you? If you think for one second that I would believe you when you said you have Dawn, then you really are insane. You don't have her. You just think you can bluff me through it all don't you?" Buffy asked calmly yet with anger rising in her voice.
"I never said you were stupid. Thick maybe. But stupid? Never. And you think I'm bluffing? Well Buff, just turn around and you can watch our little guest arrive." He cackled. To her own horror, Buffy turned to see her sister being thrown out of a big white truck. "Still think I'm bluffing?"
"You son of a bitch! You are SO dead!" She said through gritted teeth.
"Well, sorry to burst your bubble but I'm already dead!" He said rubbing his jaw. He now strode over to where Dawn lay on the ground on all fours trying to get up. "Dawn? Are you ok?" He looked into her eyes with concern.
"Yeah." She said with a smile.
"Well that's too bad." He said as he kicked her in the stomach. Buffy came running over. She started wailing on him.
"Dawn are you ok?" She asked looking up from the punches and kicks Buffy was unleashing on Angelus.
"Yeah." She stated laconically as she rubbed her stomach while trying to catch her breath. But for the brief moment Buffy had looked up, Angelus swept his leg underneath her feet causing her to fall down to the ground face first. Buffy rolled over. But as she rolled over Angelus straddled her.
"You know I could just make you a vampire right here right now." He said as his face morphed. He slowly opened is mouth to reveal his sharp incisors. He brought his mouth down to her neck.
