-- Buffy can either have PMS or the flu or it can be something life threatening or crippling, it's your call.

Buffy threw the box of tissues at the door. "ANGEL!" she yelled dangerously. He appeared at the door in seconds.

"Yes?" he looked kinda scared.

She sighed. "I've got the flu, and I feel really, really, bad. Adelante is practising her Irish dance in the next room, Sian is playing with her dolls infront of the TV and Liam is screaming in his crib. And you aren't doing anything." Angel braced himself for the enivitable yelling.

"I'm not going to yell, because the kids are in here. But if you don't stop Addie dancing, turn off the TV and make Liam go to sleep, I will make you sleep on the couch," she paused. "The one in the *basement*."

Angel gulped and nodded. The couch was bad enough, but the basement? He leant over and smoothed back her hair and kissed her forehead, handing her the box of tissues.

"I'll take them out for awhile, okay sweetie? You just rest." he smiled as her eyes closed. She coughed and sat up again.

"And Angel?" he stopped. "Bring back some ice-cream. I ate the other stuff."

Angel frowned. "The chocolate one?" she nodded guiltily. "Buffy, honey, that was for the kids."

She nodded. "I know, but my throat hurt." He rolled his eyes and left. Buffy settled back to sleep with a smile on her lips.

"Daddy?" Adelante asked from the backseat.

"Hmm?"

"Why is Mummy in bed still? She didn't get up yesterday, either." her voice was a scared, little girl voice. Angel smiled.

"Cause she's sick, sweetie. She'll be better soon, she just needed some peace and quiet for awhile."

"Oh." she said softly. Adelante was the oldest of the three O'Reilly children. She had soft, brown shoulder length hair, which framed a delicate face with glowing green eyes. She was very serious child, like her father. And at his encouraging, had taken up Irish Dancing. She liked it, because she got to jump around and it made her laugh, it also made her father proud.

"Sick? But Daddy, Mummy promised to play with me!" Sian cried.

Angel slowed at the red light and turned around to face his children. My children. he thought proudly.

"I know, Siannie, but Daddy can still play with you. Would you like that?" she stuck her thumb in her mouth and sucked fiercly on it.

Of all the children, she looked most like her mother. Her short, blond hair made her clear, pale blue eyes stand out. She was also the most extroverted. Whenever they had people over, she'd run around to all of them and chatter away. She also had lots and lots of tea-parties with her doll. Angel was sure when the time came to take her to playgroup, she'd have no trouble fitting in.

He pulled into a carpark, and slid open the doors. "Okay. Everybody out!" he said. The two girls unbuckled their seatbelts, and he lifted them out of the car, reaching for the baby.

"Come on, Liam, my man. Lets protect the ladies honour." he said, following the girls to the playground equipment

One and a half hours, two bumps and scrapes later, and Angel, Adelante, Sian and Liam arrived home, with ice-creams.]

"Okay you guys go into the loungeroom and wait for me. I'll take this up to Buffy and be back down. We're going to make her a present, okay?" they all nodded.

"Angel? Is that you?" Buffy asked, as the door opened.

"Yeah, baby. I bought your ice-cream, and the kids are downstairs. I'll make some macaroni and cheese and put them to bed, okay?" she nodded and settled back into the pillows.

Angel returned downstairs armed with paper and crayons. He sat down beside the children.

"Lets see...we've got paper, crayons, and all you guys hands. We're going to make Mummy some get well soon cards!"

Sian grinned and took a piece of paper and a pink crayon, her favourite colour, and drew a big, lopsided heart on the page and began scribbling it in, with a huge smile on her face.

Adelante, very carefully, picked up a flesh colour, and began to draw.

"Whats that?" Sian asked her sister, not looking away from hers.

"Its Mummy. She's sitting down and playing with all of us."

Sian shook her head. "No. She's-"

Adelante gave her little sister a Look. "No, Sian. She's playing with *all* of us." she said in the tone that meant she was right, and that she was older and knew best.

Liam, meanwhile was making scribbles on a smaller piece of paper with his baby-crayons. Buffy had claimed that they were safer, and bigger, making them easier to draw with. Angel just went with what she said, knowing better then to argue.

Angel looked up at the clock, and saw that it was 8 O'clock. Sian's eyelids were drooping, and her lines were sloppy. Adelante was fighting to stay alert, and Liam, unfortunately, was bright and bubbly, gurgling away, happily grinning at his dad.

"Right. Its time for bed. Addie and Sian, go and brush your teeth and hop into your pajama's, and wait while I change Liam, then we'll go in and say goodnight to your mum, and give her these, okay?" the girls nodded and ran up the stairs.

"There you go, little mate. You're all changed and ready for bed!" he said softly, snapping the buttons on the pale blue jumpsuit. He finished his bottle and Angel set it aside, picked the baby up, and walked into the girls' room.

"Addie, Sian?" he said. He smiled, seeing them both conked out on their beds. He walked over, and held Liam on his shoulder, tugging the blankets up around their chins and kissing them goodnight.

"I guess it was all a little too much for your big sisters, huh Liam. Oh well, it can wait until morning."

He heard footsteps behind him, and turned around as Buffy slid her arms around his waist.

"Did they fall asleep?" she whispered. He nodded. "I'll just say goodnight. You go put Liam down, then come to bed. You look pretty wiped yourself."

He grinned. "After you read these." he handed her the three childish drawings, which were folded into cards and written inside.

Buffy's eyes teared as she read them. "Oh, Angel. These are so adorable." she wiped her tears away and held them to her heart as they looked at their offspring.

"Tell them that. They put so much time and love into these. They were so proud of them, they wanted to make you feel better."

Buffy smiled. "They succeeded."
