Buffy was in her dorm room when the phone rang.

" Hello," she said picking it up.

" Buffy, what the hell are you doing????" Cordelia shouted.

" Cordy, what do you mean, I'm just watching TV."

" I meant about Angel you idiot!"

" What about Angel??" Buffy asked tersely

" He's human you bitch. He went to Sunnyhell to tell you and he told me he saw you with some guy. What is wrong with you ! You jump the bones of the first guy that comes around? I mean Spike told us about Parker!"

" Angel's human?" Buffy whispered.

" Yeah, and who does he go to tell first? You. And you're with another guy!"

" Hey he told me to move on." Buffy said defensively.

" God you are so self centered. It's always about our perfect little slayer. You don't even care what he sacrificed for you. He left for you, which by the way, broke his heart. When you made him drink you, everybody blamed him. And all you could think about was how hurt you were. He gave up humanity for you too!"

" What do you mean?" Buffy asked in a small voice.

" He would have been human since last year, but noooo. He had to save his precious Buffy. He's died for you, and he'd do it again! And what do you do? You go and date some stupid fish-boy. You don't deserve the kind of love Angel wants to give you. I don't even know why I bothered to call. You don't deserve him. But you're the one he loves. I don't know why though."

" So why are you telling me all this Cordy?"

"Because he loves you and he deserves to be happy. Plus, I wanted to bitch at you. `Cause you deserve it."

" Fine Cordy, bye."

Cordy hung up the phone and looked at it. " Bitch," was all she said before walking away and going to work.

Buffy looked at the phone a moment before walking out the door. On her way to her car, Riley ran up.

" Hey Buffy, where are you going?"

" LA," she said.

" Cool, so am I. Hey how `bout I drive you?"

" Fine, you can drop me off on your way to where ever it is you're going.

LA:

Buffy walked into Angel Investigations with Riley on her heels. He refused to leave and had followed her in.

" What are you doing here? Especially with him. You have a lot of nerve bringing him here" Cordelia greeted them coldly.

" Where is Angel?" Buffy asked with equal venom.

" Downstairs. But I will not let you go down there with him." Cordelia said with contempt. " Angel's feeling bad enough now. He doesn't need to see your new boy toy."

" Fine, Riley, either wait here or leave, I can find a way back home."

" I'll wait for you." Fishboy said to Buffy.

Buffy went downstairs and saw Angel sitting on a chair watching the sunset.

" Hi," she said.

" Buffy, what are you doing here?" he asked. His voice was void of emotion. He would not allow himself to feel anything for her. She had someone else.

" Cordelia told me you were human. And I remember that day Angel."

" Yeah, so?"

" Why didn't you tell me?"

" You know why. He's in my office right now isn't he?" Angel's voice was still void of emotion, but his eyes spoke volumes. Buffy could see the pain in them.

" So, you're the one who told me to move on."

" Yeah, and you have. I didn't want to spoil that for you. I hope you're happy." He turned around and headed toward the door.

" Where are you going?"

" Leaving. You're happy, you've moved on, I guess it's time I try to do the same. But I never will. Goodbye Buffy. Have a good life." He moved to leave. It was now or never.

" Angel, wait!"

" Why?"

" I love you. I've never stopped, I never will. I only dated Riley to try to forget you. Every time he was near me, I tried to pretend it was you. I missed you every minute. I don't deserve you, but please, don't leave."

Angel moved to her and folded her up in his arms. " I love you too, and I'm the one that doesn't deserve you { a.n.: yeah right, it's the first way around}. I won't leave if you don't want me to. I'll stay with you forever. As long as you break up with Riley."

" Sure, in fact, I'll do it now." They walked up the stairs and Cordelia smiled when she saw them. It was then Buffy knew that she had meant those things, but she had mostly wanted Buffy to come to her senses.

" Ready to go Buffy?" Riley asked standing.

" Riley, I'm sorry, but I have to break up with you."

" Why? What's wrong? I thought everything was going great!"

" You're not him. I've always loved him, not you. I'm sorry Riley, goodbye."

" Fine, goodbye Buffy." Riley left and Buffy turned to Angel.

" Angel?"

" Yeah."

" I'm sorry."

" For what?"

" For him, for how I acted, for forgetting. You know I only love you. I was repressing my feelings, burying them deep inside me. It was like it wasn't really me. I was watching myself do everything, and I hated myself for it. I never meant to hurt you."

" I know, just forget it, and don't do it again."

" Ok, now lets go downstairs and pick up where we left that day." Angel raised his eyebrows, but followed her down. Cordelia laughed and went to call the gang before they wigged out.
