SYNOPSIS: It's Buffy's B-day. She wins a trip to Vanuatu, takes Angel and all else will be revealed!

AUTHOR'S NOTES: This story is very FLUFFY!! But that's a good thing right? This story is the second in my "Love and Collage Life" series!

It was a Sunday morning; Angel lay next to Buffy with his arm around her waist, gazing at her sleeping. He noted every breath she took the rise and fall of her chest and stomach. He gazed at her with such love and awe. The sun was streaming through the bedroom window onto her face. Angel softly moved a piece of her hair behind her ear. He started to stroke her softly on the stomach. As he did so a wonderful feeling surged through him, as he was now able to touch her in such an intimate way. Before this wasn't even contemplated as possible for him, but now he thanked every possible god for his humanity. Buffy suddenly started to stir, she smiled slightly at the feeling of her lover's hand stroking her. She opened her eyes and looked up at him. Angel reached across and gave her a gentle kiss.

"Morning my love" He said while reluctantly pulling away from the kiss.

"Morning" Buffy reached out her arm and pulled him closer to her, so her head was resting on his chest.

"Did you sleep well?" he asked her.

"Like I was in heaven" she replied. "You?"

"You summed it up pretty well" he replied with that sexy half smile. All of a sudden the phone started to ring.

"Nooo, let it ring." Buffy said with a huge sigh.

"It's okay, answering machine remember?"

"Ooh, technology good" Buffy replied in a squeaky voice. Angel smiled down at her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her up towards him. He caught his lips with hers and kept her in a passionate kiss. He removed his lips from hers and made his way down her neck and then up again. Angel rolled Buffy over so he was on top of her and lost himself in her. All the while the answering machine running-

"Hi Buffy, it's mom, just ringing to make sure you're okay, and if you need anything. Give me a call back as soon as you're free okay. Love you"

Later that day Buffy and Angel made their way up to the Espresso Pump to meet up with Willow and Oz. They sat there next to each other. Angel had his arm around Buffy's waist and their hands were enlaced. They were caught in a fiery kiss so full of passion. Everybody in the café would turn to look at them and smile. From a distance Willow and Oz pulled up in their car and got out. Willow turned toward the café and stopped at the sight she saw. Oz walked next her and put his arm around her. Willow turned to him and smiled.

"They're so cute"

"That's one thing you're not wrong about" Oz replied. They walked off, hand in hand towards the café and sat down. Buffy saw them coming and pulled away from Angel.

"Hey guys" Buffy said from Angel's lap.

"Hi" Willow replied.

"Hey" Oz said with his usual flat tone. "I hope we weren't intruding, you seemed kind of preoccupied before" he went on, mocking them. Buffy's cheeks went rosy.

"Preoccupied? Us?" Buffy replied jokingly.

The Slayer and her friends sat at the Café drinking their coffees, discussing life, the usual, when they all said their goodbyes and left to go home. When Buffy and Angel arrived home they sat in their living room talking. Buffy was sitting on Angel's Lap, his arms around her waist.

"So, your birthday. It's in 3 days" Angel started to say but was cut off.

"My birthday? Well lets see, um, could you think of any other day in the year that brings more gut wrenching horror and misery?" Buffy said mater-of-factly.

"I don't think it has anything to do with your birthday, I think it's just been coincidental. I promise that this years birthday will be one to remember." And it definitely would be. Because secretly, Angel had a surprise for his love. A surprise that would change their lives forever, make them more one. Buffy made her way over to the stereo and put on the radio. She then sat back on Angel's lap. He brought his lips to hers in wild frenzy, Buffy rapping her arms around his neck, trying to get closer to him. They were going at their heated make-out session with the radio going in the background.

"And now for the chance to win a trip to Vanuatu, just answer this question. In the sequel to the hit movie I Know What You Did Last Summer, what question did Jennifer Love Hewitt have to answer to win the trip to the Bahamas? If you know the answer just call 5558921" All of a sudden Buffy ripped herself from Angel's lips and ran to the phone to dial the number. Angel looked just stared in shock at her and wondered what she was doing.

"Who are you calling?" He asked her.

"I know this answer." She was cut off by the sound of the radio dj on the other line.

"Hi, you are our no. 10 caller. Now, In the sequel to I Know What You Did Last Summer, what question did Jennifer Love Hewitt have to answer to win the trip to the Bahamas?" Buffy didn't take a second to hesitate.

"What is the capital of Brazil?"

"Yes, and you've won you're self a trip for two to Vanuatu, for a week of pure luxury. Just hold the line for more details" Buffy screamed and started to jump up and down on the spot, Angel got up and rapped his arms around her, giving her that half smile. Buffy held the line and found out more details and such before she hung up and lunged into Angel's arms.

"We're going to Vanuatu for my birthday!" She was so happy, this time nothing could possibly go wrong. Angel smiled to himself, this was going to be perfect. He would make this trip really romantic, all the more to pop the question.

That Thursday Buffy and Angel arrived at the airport. Buffy's mom drove them so she could say a proper goodbye to her daughter. Angel walked through the airport doors to find a trolley. He spotted one and brought it over to his love. Buffy finally turned to her mom for one last goodbye.

"Bye dear, have a really great time now wont you!" Buffy's mom started to get a bit teary eyed.

"Bye mom" Buffy realised that her mom was crying. "Mom I'm only going for a week, calm down" she stated.

"I know dear, it's just this is the first time you've gone over seas without me, it's a bit daunting."

"Mom, I'll be fine. Angel's here remember?"

"I know, run along, you'll miss your flight" Joyce turned to Angel. "Take care of her now, wont you!?"

"Joyce, that's all I ever dream of doing" Buffy blushed a bit at that.

"Okay, enough with the mulchyness already." She turned to her mom for one last hug and then they were on their way.

The two lovers made their way to gate 45 and took a seat. Buffy turned to Angel.

"How long do we have? Don't you want to get something from the newsagent or something?"

"Only if you want to, but I don't really see the point in getting something to read for the plane" he continued "seeing as how we'll probably be engaged in something a lot more interesting." He looked his love in the eye, with a mischievous smile on his face.

"Ooh you're bad! But that's not to say I don't like it!" She reached across and pulled him in for a kiss. Nothing to passionate, seeing as how they didn't exactly have a small audience. Suddenly there was a voice over the loud speaker.

"Would all first class passengers or passengers traveling with children please make their way through the gate.

"Ooh, that's us" Buffy said pulling away from Angel. They both go up and made their way over. They handed the stewardess their tickets and walked down the tunnel to board their plane. As they made their way inside the plane they were shown to their seats.

"Um Buffy, you can take the window. I'm not sure I could cope with it."

"Angel, you'll be fine, it's really not that bad. It's actually quite soothing." Angel took one last look at her and then sat down. Buffy sat down next to him on the isle seat and rested her head on his shoulder. Angel grabbed her hand and clasped it in his own. He leaned over and gave her a kiss on the forehead. He looked down at her fingers. Thinking to himself, soon there would be a ring their that proved their love. Angel sighed.

"What?" Buffy asked.

"I'm just feeling so.." Angel paused, finding the right words. "So lucky right now, so lucky to have you, to have some one that loves me as much as I love them. I kind of don't really believe all this is happening, I mean how do I deserve you?" Buffy's face became all flushed at his little speech, her cheeks rosy and her heart pounding. She reached over and took his cheek in her hand.

"You do deserve this Angel. You deserve any amount of happiness and love that comes your way." With that said he caught her lips with his and gave her a passionate kiss, which left them both breathless. Buffy bent down and pulled out a woolen blanket, and covered them both in it. She lay her head on his shoulder and fell asleep. Soon enough hours later there was a small bell that sounded over the speaker system. "Attention Passengers this flight is now ready to land, please stay seated and buckle your seat belts."

"Oh hey" Buffy said to Angel as he started to wake up. "We're landing honey"

"Yeah. Did you sleep alright?"

"Like a dream. I'm telling ya, the next time we travel we are definitely getting first class again!"

"You can say that again" he responded. All of a sudden there was a rough jolt.

"Woah, that was supposed to happen right? Please say it was suppo.." And another jolt. "Supposed to happen." Angel looked to Buffy questioningly, nervousness evident in his eyes.

"Yes, it was supposed to happen. It just means that we're landing now. It's normal." Buffy reassured her lover.

"Good" was all Angel could say. "Cause I'm still getting used to this whole flying thing. Never actually did any in my day."

"Hmm, funny!" Just then the plane started to tilt slightly, and get faster. Buffy took Angel's hand and gave it a squeeze. Angel gave his lover a kiss and then lent back in his chair.

Buffy and Angel made their way out to the pickup place outside the airport. "I'm just going to check on something okay? I'll just be a sec" Buffy watched her lover walk away back into the airport. She stood there for a few minutes, when a black stretch limo arrived before her. Angel came running out of the airport and came up beside Buffy. The chauffeur hoped out of the car and took their bags. Buffy looked up at Angel in surprise.

"Oh my gosh, you got this for us?" Angel looked down at her and gave her a kiss. He then took her hand and led her to the back of the limo. The chauffeur opened the car for them and they got in. When they were inside Buffy couldn't help her self but scurrage around the place. She turned back to Angel and gave him a passionate kiss. He cupped her left cheek in his hand and placed kisses all over her face. Buffy broke away suddenly and looked at her lover. "I've never been in a limo before, it's just like the movies" Angel looked into her beautiful green eyes and reached in for another kiss.

They drove for a while until they pulled up into the Hotel. Buffy looked out the window and gazed at it with awe. She turned and kissed Angel quickly before opening the door and jumping out. She ran up to the steps and turned to see Angel lugging two suitcases towards her.

"Angel! Let me get one of those.." But before she could finish a bus boy came up to them and took their bags, putting them onto a trolley and taking them inside. Buffy and Angel followed him in and went up to the check in desk.

"Hi, um.we had a reservation under Angel."

"Okay sir, let me just check..okay, you're in hut 24, with a beach view. If you could just wait in the lobby for a few minutes, we'll have your resort guide escort you there.

"Thanks" The two lovers said in unison.

Half an hour later they made it to their hut. They both hopped out of the buggy with their luggage and walked to the door of their hut. Angel opened it and waited for Buffy to walk in. They both looked at the place in awe. He turned towards his love and bent down for a passionate kiss. After what seemed like hours, but in actuality was probably only seconds, Buffy pulled away breathless, and looked up at Angel, who to appeared to be in the same situation. All of a sudden there was a growl. Buffy let out a giggle, Angel looked at her questioningly.

"What, I'm hungry. I didn't eat much on the plane, and our little morning activity didn't exactly help with that either." She gave him a seductive grin. Angel pulled her close and rested his forehead against hers.

"Hmmm, funny." He chuckled "But honestly, maybe we should get something to eat."

"I guess so." She replied. "Room service?"

"Even better, lunch on the beach" Buffy looked at him questioningly. She really wasn't into a picnic lunch right now, she wanted something romantic, you know? Picnic lunches can wait! "I'll go to the restaurant and tell them where we'll be eating, we can go 2 lie-lows, or one, whatever suits you.." He was cut off by a mischievous grin from his lover.

"Sounds great" she chimed. "Shall we get into our bathers?"

"Uhuh" he replied as they made their way into the bedroom to unpack their suit cases and put on their bathers.

A little while later Buffy and Angel made their way down the beach, which was quite full to their surprise. They walked over to their lie-lows and put down their things. Buffy was first to reveal her summer attire, which consisted of a tiny, revealing bikini. Angel looked at her in horror. The expression on his face was just priceless.

"What?" she asked.

"You are NOT, and I emphasise the word NOT, wearing that!"

"Why not? Let's see what you're wearing, I bet I'm not half bad!" He started to get unchanged to reveal his bathers.

"Buffy, you don't have to worry about me, I'm not going to have the whole beach gapping at me!"

"Oh yeah, cause that ol' sack of potatoes you lug around all day, is nothing to gape at!"

"Buffy, I think you have to believe me on this one okay?"

"Oh yeah, cause that girl over there, who by the way is about to experience a great deal of pain, has nothing to do with what you talking about?" Angel looked over his shoulder to see a girl talking to a group of people and at the same time giving him the once over. "Look, lets just..build a bridge, ..or something, and....get over it okay? It's totally a non-issue. You and I both know that no-one could come between us!" She looked up at him, and he reached down to give her a quick kiss of reassurance.

"Okay" and with that they took off towards the water. Just as Buffy's feet touched the beginning of the ocean Angel swept her off her feet and ran into the water throwing her in front of him in the process so that she landed with a great splash.

"Ohhhh, I'm sooo getting you back for that!" Buffy squealed, as she quickly made a dash towards her lover, jumping on top of him. They both went down into the water and came back up with a totally different frame of mind. Sucking face actually, and well, it seemed that they weren't, after all the only people living on this planet, cause well, everybody that was in the water with them suddenly didn't find their other activities very exciting. The two lovers pulled apart, resting their foreheads together, trying to catch their breath, when Buffy looked away and realised the audience that they had acquired. They both blushed. And I mean beet red!

Minutes later and a lot of embarrassment they decided to head back to their lie-lows.

Later on in the evening - Buffy & Angel's Suite..

Buffy walked out of the bathroom into Angel's presence, wearing a blue slip dress that went down to her knees. The silky material, clinging to her perfect body, accentuating her curves. He was stunned. He couldn't understand her beauty. Angel moved closer to her and started placing soft kisses up and down her neck.

"There are no words for your beauty" He whispered to her, making her blush slightly.

"You don't look so bad your self." she trailed off slightly, standing back to get a better look. 'Actually, major understatement' she thought as she took in his appearance. He wore black pants with a white short-sleeved shirt. The top few buttons undone, revealing his toned chest underneath. He was doing that spiky thing with his hair, which always made him look to die for.

"Shall we?" Angel asked as he put out his arm for Buffy to take. They made their way down to the resort restaurant, and up to the reservation desk.

"Can we have a table for two on the beach?"

"Okay sir, let me just see. alright, just follow me." With that the two lovers made their way down to a table on the beach. There was quite a bit of space between each table, to make it that bit more romantic. Angel pulled a chair out for Buffy and helped her sit down, before making his way over to his chair. When they were both seated they noticed the beautiful sun set before them.

"Angel, it's so."

"Beautiful, I know." With that, Angel went over to her side of the table and knelt before her. Taking her hands into his, he asked what would probably be the most important question of his life. He looked up into her eyes with all the love and passion that he felt for her, and began asking his question.

"You were my only light for so many years, and will be until eternity. When I lived my days in the dark, you made me see a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel. You're my inspiration, my life and my all." Buffy gasped, waiting for him to go on, a tear making its way down her soft velvety cheek.

"Now we have this opportunity to be together, and I will cherish it always. Buffy Summers, will you marry me?" She let out a soft cry and lunged herself into his arms. Kissing him passionately, like the world was about to end. Slowly Angel pulled away, resting his forehead against hers and looking her in the eyes. She nearly drowned in his dark pools of love. He gave her that sexy half smile that made her heart skip a beat.

"So, is that a yes?" Buffy found his lips again, and kissed him softly.

"Yes" With that Angel took out a maroon velvet case and opened it before her. He took it and placed it on her finger. She looked down at it and started to sob again. It was a claddagh ring with a big diamond in the middle, and engraved on the inside was My light, Always and Forever.

For the rest of the night they ate dinner while watching the sunset, cherishing each other's presence. They spent the rest of the week reveling in each other's presence, relaxing and enjoying the free time away from slayage to be together. They arrived home at the end of the week and were surprised to find everyone welcoming them back. Buffy rushed over to willow and gave her a big hug. She pulled away with the biggest smile on her face and showed her friend the ring.

"Oh my gosh, Buffy!"

"I know Will, and he was so romantic about it too!"

"I'll bet, with that eighteenth century personalty." They hugged each other again and made their way over to everyone else.

"So Buff, how was it?" The excited slayer stuck out her hand to show everyone her prized possession. Willow had a huge grin on her face as she watched the tears start falling down her best friend's face. Everybody said their congratulations, even Xander. Anya however was her usual tactless self, saying how big the diamond was, and how much did the ring cost? After a while the gang made their way out of the airport to the cars. Angel wrapped his arm around his lover's waist and bent down to whisper in her ear.

"I love you" Buffy responded by kissing him softly and slowly pulling away.

"I love you too. Always". The couple's welcomers witnessed the scene, and could only hope that they would feel a love that strong in their lifetime.

A bit of a sudden ending? Sorry, I really had no idea on how to end it, plus it was getting kinda long. :) There'll be another in the series soon! I just have to write it first!! :) Just keep checking back! Send Feedback !
