Rating: If you watch Buffy, this is okay (although Kate makes a nasty comment)
Disclaimer: Not mine. All the characters belong to Joss Whedon, and the challenge is Julie's. If you really want this story, you can have it, just let me know you have it.
Spoilers: Big ones for The Zeppo and IWRY.
Summary: The gang gets locked in Angel's old mansion (Response to Julie's challenge)
Notes: Okay, for the sake of my story, the gang doesn't know about Xander and Faith. It's important to the Xander/Anya part of the plot.
Feedback: Is loved and most appreciated.

Buffy let out a long sigh. She was locked in a mansion. Not just any mansion, Angel's old one. None of the windows would open, all the doors out were locked, and the worst part was that she was stuck in said mansion with a woman she hated before they had even met.

Buffy went over the events that lead her to be put in this situation for about the ten-thousandth time. It had all started when Xander had been watching Road Rules...

******

"Hey, isn't that the Kafika person?" Spike asked as a woman appeared on the screen.

"It's Keefla, Spike," Xander said.

"Oh, he's intercourse worthy," Anya said huskily.

"Him? But he's so....Now the X-Files lady...she is just...mmmm!"

"So if she appeared in this room right now, would you go off and have intercourse with her? Am I just your sex toy? Do I not matter at all?" Anya asked.

"No...Anya, look, I like you and no one else okay? It's like you liking that one guy off that river show," Xander said.

"Dawson's Creek? Yes, but Pacey is cute. He is intercourse worthy as well," Anya said.

"Oh, so if *Pacey* appeared in this room right now would you go have sex with him?" Xander asked, folding his arms across his chest.

"Be realistic Xander, Pacey would never appear in this room," Anya told her boyfriend, giving him one of those "duh" looks.

"But you just said-"

"SHUT UP!" Spike yelled, cutting Xander off.

"Hey guys, what's going on?" Buffy asked as she walked into Xander's room with Riley, holding his hand.

"Anya and I were just-"

"Fighting. It's a very dramatic story, full of pain and sorrow and it's really boring, so lets talk about something else, like why....Cordelia and Angel are standing right behind you," Spike said, looking into Cordelia's eyes. He had never been so attracted to her before.

Buffy whirled around. "Angel!" she said, quickly letting go of Riley's hand to give Angel a hug.

Angel noticed Riley glaring daggers at him and let her go, as much as he didn't want to.

"So why are you here?" Buffy asked, stealing glances at Angel like a girl with an elementary school crush.

"There's a demon that we followed here. We came to kill it, that is, we hope to make sure it's no longer of the living, or unliving seeing how it's a demon, so we just-"

"Yeah, we know. A demon, but if you know about them, why did you come to kill it, if you obviously know Buffy and know she's the slayer? She can handle them. Besides, she's my girlfriend, did you know that?" Riley asked. Buffy sent her leg out behind her and kicked Riley in the shin.

"I'm glad you came," Buffy said quietly, smiling at him. "Me too," Angel told her. Buffy knew she would've kissed Angel in that moment if there hadn't been a voice she didn't know calling his name as she walked down the stairs to Xander's room.

Buffy looked up and met up with a blonde woman with brown eyes. "Angel," the woman said, walking over to Angel and giving him a kiss on the cheek. Buffy wanted to kill her.

Angel looked like he did too. "Kate, this is Buffy, that's Anya and Xander over there making out on the bed..."

"Yeah, they made up," Spike said, still staring at Cordelia.

"That's Spike, this is Buffy..." Angel said lovingly, looking at Buffy. "And that's...someone groaning in pain on the floor," Angel said, referring to Riley.

"Oh Riley, he's my....boyfriend," Buffy said, looking down at the floor. "Oh yeah, I'm Angel's girlfriend Kate, and um, Angel, you introduced us twice," Kate said, holding her hand out to Buffy's to shake it. Buffy gripped it hard enough to almost break it and then let go. "Nice to meet you," Buffy told her sweetly.

Kate nodded, holding her hand in pain. "Where's Willow, Oz, and Giles?" Angel asked, looking around. "Right here," said a voice behind him. Willow, Oz, and Giles walked into Xander's apartment. "Hi Angel, Cordelia. What are you two doing here?" Willow asked. "We're here to help catch a demon. Big, and has horns growing out of his head, he's like a pukish-yellow...seen him?" Angel asked.

Xander stopped kissing Anya long enough to say,"Hey, deadboy said pukish!"

Buffy froze. Deadboy. What if Kate didn't know about Angel? Then Buffy smiled. Why would Kate want to be with a vampire?

"Deadboy, huh? Is that your nickname oh fanged one?" Kate asked, laughing.

'Damn' Buffy thought.

"A sort of deformed yellow, you say? Yes, we saw something like that on our way here. It went into Angel's old mansion."

"You owned a mansion? And you can't even take me to La Pierre!" Kate said, looking at Angel in disbelief.

"It wasn't mine. Let's go kill this thing and get it over with," Angel said as he walked back up the stairs. "So how much more hidden money do you have Angel?" Kate called as she followed him out.

Cordelia started to go out and Spike immediately followed her. "I haven't done a good deed for a while, it's time I paid my dues," he said, running to catch up with her.

Riley, still moaning in pain on the floor, holding his shin, got up and followed everyone else out.

******

It would look a little odd to someone passing by to see eleven people walking down the street. One of them holding his shin, four of them holding hands with their respective others, one very tweedish man, a peroxide blonde staring at a brunette, and two petite blondes trying desperately to walk next to a very tall, dark, handsome man.

As the gang reached the mansion, Riley and Kate stared in awe. "You lived here?" Kate asked Angel. He just nodded.

They all went inside, all but two living in memories of the past. Just then, there was a loud bang and Buffy whirled around to see the door slam shut. She ran to it and tried to open in, but it wouldn't budge.

Angel ran over to help her and pulled on the door with her. Still wouldn't move. "The demon locked us in here. It has magical abilities, it must've cursed the mansion. It wanted enough time to get away, the spell should ware off in about 24 hours," Angel said.

"How do you know?" Riley asked. "I studied the demon. I wouldn't have come here if it wasn't powerful. Buffy can handle herself," Angel said.

That had been then, two hours ago. And already, Riley had tried to get everyone to play Hangman, Heads up Seven Up, and Guess the Iowa Location. And Buffy was trying hard not to strangle Kate, who was all over Angel.

"Who wants to play truth or dare?" Anya asked. Everyone looked at everyone else before agreeing.

They all sat in a circle on the floor in one of the rooms they were in and Anya said, "Xander, truth or dare?"

"Truth," Xander said.

"Besides me, who else have you had intercourse with?" Anya asked. Xander turned a violent shade of red and looked down, mumbling, "IhadsexwithFaith."

Buffy and Angel's advanced hearing made them to be able to catch all of it. They both looked at him in utter shock.

"Oh...My...God," Buffy said, taking deep breaths. "You had sex with Faith! * Faith*! Xander how...when...why?" Buffy asked, trying not to spaz out.

"Look it was last year, and she just used me. You guys were treating me like dirt, telling me not to be there when the Hellmouth opened again, and making it seem like the only thing I was good for was getting donuts! So I was driving around, saw Faith trying to kill a demon, hit it with my car, she got in, and we had sex, but not in the car. And then there was this whole other thing with all these dead people and all this other stuff, but since the Hellmouth was such a big issue the next day, I decided not to bring it up. Angel, truth or dare?" Xander said.

The room was quiet. Finally Angel spoke up. "Truth," he said.

"How many people in this room do you love?" Xander asked.

"One," Angel replied. Kate beamed, but it was Buffy Angel was looking at. Riley noticed this and gave Angel a scowl.

Angel turned to him and said, "Truth or dare?"

Riley grinned cockily. "Dare," he said. Angel smiled. "I dare you to let me kiss Buffy."

Buffy's eyes grew wide and she looked at Angel. "Wh...what?" she asked. "She doesn't want to kiss you, so I guess you'll have to come up with another dare," Riley said, puffing up his chest.

Buffy cast a sidewards glance at Riley and then moved towards Angel slowly. They stood almost pressing up against each other and Angel noticed that it was the exact position they were standing in right before the minute of their forgotten day was up.

"I think it was supposed to be you kissing me," Buffy whispered. Angel leaned down and captured her lips with his own. Buffy felt her feet start to tingle and her stomach get butterflies. It had been so long since she had last kissed Angel...

Angel pulled away slowly. He looked deep into Buffy's eyes, but he didn't say anything.

Riley couldn't take anymore and said, "Buffy, truth or dare."

Buffy didn't break eye contact with Angel as she told him truth.

"Does Angel kiss better than me?" Riley asked, glaring at Angel.

Buffy turned her head to face Riley. "Duh," was all she said.

Buffy was in the middle of asking Willow truth or dare when there was a loud thud from below them.

"Sounds like it came from the kitchen. I'll go check it out," Angel said, getting up. "I'm coming with you, everyone else stay here," Buffy said, getting up as well. Riley wanted to protest, but Buffy and Angel had already disappeared.

They traced the noise to the kitchen. When they walked in, they saw a cupboard door swinging open, a box of croutons lying open on the floor, and a mouse scurrying off to it's hole.

"Croutons?" Buffy asked, picking up the box. "Why would *you* need croutons?"

"I decided blood salad was too bland," Angel said.

"Ha ha ha. If you were going to have food, you could've at least had cookie dough fudge mint chip ice cream," Buffy muttered. Suddenly, she was hit with an image of her and Angel in a bed, Angel feeding her the ice cream, her licking it off Angel's bare chest, them kissing...and as quickly as it had began, it was over.

"Are you okay?" Angel asked, looking at Buffy with concern. She nodded and put her hand on the table to steady herself. And she was hit with more images. Her and Angel in a kitchen, them kissing, doing it on the table, Angel's heartbeat beating in rhythm with Buffy's...

Buffy started to fall to the floor, but Angel caught her. "You're not okay. Do you need to eat? We have croutons," Angel said, holding up the ripped box.

"No, I'm okay, I think I'm just...remembering a dream...I think...what time is it?" Buffy asked suddenly.

Angel looked at his watch Cordelia had picked out for him. "There's one minute left until seven," Angel said.

And the images came again, only this time Buffy knew what they were. She saw her and Angel at Thanksgiving, the Mora Demon, Angel being turned human, them kissing by the pier, them at the table, them in Angel's bed, Angel trying to kill the regenerated without getting her hurt, her having to save him, Angel going to the oracles to give up his humanity to save her life, and then their final minute together.

Buffy let out a sob and opened her eyes to face Angel. She fell in love with him all over again. He had given up what he wanted, what he *deserved* most in the world so she could live. She looked deep into Angel's eyes, and said, "I told you I'd never forget."

The look on Angel's face was a mix between pure pain and pure joy. Without thinking twice about it, they launched themselves into each other's arms. The passion of their kissing grew more and more deep as Angel pulled her onto the table.

Buffy started to trail kisses down Angel's neck when she suddenly realized that Angel still had a curse.

"Angel...your...curse," she said between kisses. "Got rid of it. Soul's permanent. Don't ask questions," Angel said as he kissed her all over. Buffy decided she could live with that.

******

Riley paced around the room. "They've been gone almost ten minutes, I'm going after them," he said as she started to leave the room. "Wait for me, I'm coming with you!" Kate said, running after Riley.

No one else in the room bothered to stop them. It was obvious to anyone with proper hearing what was going on with Buffy and Angel.

Riley and Kate crept slowly down the stairs. As they got closer, they could hear moans. "They're being tortured!" Riley said.

Kate pulled out her gun and they both followed the sounds. They heard an "Angel!" and Kate said, "They're hurting Angel!"

Riley rolled his eyes and they kept walking. "I think it's coming from the kitchen. How many do you think there are? Demons, I mean," Kate asked.

"A lot if they have Buffy down." Riley said, cringing when he heard Buffy moan again. "She's being hurt. Come on, hurry!"

Riley and Kate ran towards the kitchen. They turned the corner, and jumped into a fighting stance, Kate's gun ready in her hand, and Riley with a coat hanger he had picked up on the way.

What they saw though, was far from torture. In fact, it was quite the opposite.

"Oh my GOD!! They're....Oh my god! Angel! Get off of her! Get *out* of her!" Kate yelled, dropping her gun.

Buffy and Angel looked over to see Riley and Kate standing there, looking hurt and shocked. Angel moved off of Buffy and zipped up his pants, while she zipped up hers.

"Kate...Riley...this isn't what it looks like..." Angel started. "Oh really, because it sure looked like you were having sex with *MY* girlfriend to me!" Riley shouted, throwing a plate at Angel.

Angel easily ducked it and it hit the wall with a crash.

"Looks like Riley found 'em," Cordelia said, upstairs.

There was a gunshot.

"Looks like Kate found 'em," Cordelia said again.

Buffy looked at the black, smoking hole in the wall where the bullet from Kate's gun had hit. She had meant to throw it at Buffy, and had fired it instead.

"Okay, look, we're sorry, but we love each other, okay? And you two deserve people who can love you back as much as you love them. So please just..." Buffy's voice was drowned out by another plate smashing the wall.

"Buffy, I can't believe you. I tried not to think of you as a slut, but I guess it didn't work. I mean, you sleep with the biggest player in the history of Sunnydale, and then you go off and do someone else's boyfriend, while you have your own!" Riley yelled. Angel growled and his face morphed out.

He grabbed Riley by the throat and shoved him against the wall. "Listen here farm boy, never *ever* say that about Buffy. She is ten times the person you will ever be, and if I hear you say one more vile thing, I will rip your throat out. Got it?" Angel said.

Riley nodded in fear. As soon as Angel backed away, Riley ran from the kitchen and to the front door. He pulled on the knob and the door opened. "Riley! Wait!" Kate said, running after him. They left the door open.

Buffy and Angel ignored the now open mansion door. "Where were we?" Buffy asked. Angel grinned and pulled her into a kiss.

"Are those my leather pants?" Buffy asked Willow as she and Oz came down the stairs of Xander's "apartment". Willow looked down at the red leather pants she was wearing, and then looked sheepishly up at Buffy.

Then she noticed something in Oz's hand. "That's my spork!" Buffy said.

Angel looked confused. "A spork?" he asked. Buffy nodded. "I was bored, because you know, all those dinners with Riley and I played with the silverware a lot, so I just came up with a spork. Half spoon, half fork. Spork. And I have a feeling Willow and Oz are going to evil things with my pants and my spork," Buffy said, grinning.

Willow just grinned. Then her grin grew as she remembered something. "Buffy, you'll never guess who I saw making out on my way here."

"Who?" Buffy asked, taking a drink of water. "Cordelia and Spike," Willow answered. Buffy spit her water into Angel's face.

"What? Excuse me, *what*?" Willow nodded. "Yep. Life on the Hellmouth..."

"Tell me about it," Buffy said, grabbing the remote to Xander's TV. She turned it on and saw that it was MTV.

"Hey! It's the 2ge+her movie! Ohh, and it's the calculus song. Come on Angel, dance with me!" Buffy said, pulling her boyfriend up.

/I'm losing my hair and my vision is shady
Last night I dreamt of an overweight lady
But I need a young thing, to keep up with my pace
To hold her in my arms and take me straight to second base
I know my calculus, it says you plus me equals us/

"What kind of song is this?" Angel asked, as Buffy threw her arms around him and started to dance like she had for Xander almost 2 years ago.

"Whatever it is, I like it," Angel said, as Buffy kept dancing.

"You know, we never did kill that demon," Buffy said.

Angel grinned. "Actually, I think Kate and Riley ran into it. I think they all killed each other."

Buffy gave a lop-sided smiled. "Oh darn," she said as she pulled Angel into a passionate kiss.

/Girl, Algebra or Trigonometry
Could never equal what you do to me
I hate English, Gym, and not to mention
I can't even afford to pay my attention
No philosophy could ever come between us
But we'll always have calculus
I know my calculus, it says you plus me equals us
I know my calculus, it says you plus me equals us/

Xander and Anya walked hand in hand towards his house.

"You know Xander, if you really wanted to have intercourse with that woman on TV, or Faith, I would let you because I want you to be happy...because I...I think I love you."

Xander stopped walking and looked over at Anya. "I mean, I could be wrong, it's just that, I've never felt this way before. It could be something else. It could be hunger, but I don't think it is."

Anya and Xander just stared at each other for a moment. Then Xander said, "I think I love you too."

They both smiled and kissed each other. Then they started walking again, hand in hand.

/I know my calculus, It says you plus me equals us/
