A.N. Not part of the meeting series. This is just a short fic I wrote because I was very depressed after watching The Prom

Angel strolled through the streets of Sunnydale. It had been four years since he had last walked these streets. He looked up at the blue sky. It was a perfect southern California day. The sun shone brightly through the trees and small children's laughter could be heard all around. The powers that be had granted Angel his humanity. He still kept his strength and healing abilities seeing as he still had an agency to run.

After strolling through the main part of the town, Angel went to where the new Sunnydale High had been built. It looked exactly as it had before it had been blown up. Slowly he walked to the main entrance. Opening the door he walked in. The halls were quiet but as he walked through the halls he could see classes in session. Suddenly he halted. A strange tingling feeling engulfed his body. The feeling only one person could trigger. He continued walking and the tingling became stronger. He stopped again and looked up at the door he stood in front of. The name plate above it read "Ms. Summers".

"Buffy." He whispered.

As he looked in through the small window on the door he could see the love of his life standing in front of her class instructing them to open their books.

Angel backed away from the classroom. "She won't want to see me." He thought to himself. "She probably hates me for leaving her. She's probably seeing somebody anyway. Maybe the commando guy still."

The sound of the ringing bell interrupted his thoughts. Quickly he stepped into the far corner of the hallway but still in sight of the door. Teen-agers filed out into the hallways from every classroom. Some laughing, some groaning, some talking in groups while others milled around them. Angel froze when Buffy stepped out of her classroom to stand by the door. She turned slightly and seemed to look over the crowd directly at him. She then squinted her eyes but quickly turned back around when somebody had called to her.

"Gabriel!" Someone yelled.

Buffy turned. She could of sworn she just saw.*no it couldn't be him* she decided as she went to talk to the person who called to her.

"Gabriel, what are doing later tonight?" A guy in his thirties asked her. "Because, you know if you're not doing anything maybe we could go out to eat or to a movie.or both."

Buffy sighed. Derrik really was a nice guy but he just didn't get the picture. She didn't like him.

"I'm sorry, Derrik. I have plans tonight."

"Well, what about tomorrow?"

"Tommorow isn't good either." Buffy replied.

"Do have any days free this week, Gabriel?" Derrik asked desperately.

Buffy didn't know why she used the name. She hated it but didn't want people knowing she was Buffy. The girl who, in her teen-age years, burnt down a gymnasium, was accused of murder, and blew up the school. Summers was a common name so she didn't have to worry about that but Buffy on the other hand wasn't very common at all.

"Gabriel.?"

"Oh, sorry.I'm not sure Derrik. Why don't you ask me tomorrow." She replied, coming out of her reverie.

"Sure," he said and went back to his class.

Buffy turned to the corner again, only to see a dark figure making it's way through the mass of teens.

"Angel?" She whispered.

As if the figure had heard her he turned and looked directly at her.

"Oh..my..god." She whispered and pushed her way through the crowded hall. Finally making to Angel and launching herself into his arms.

The swarming halls seem to become silent as the lovers locked themselves in a passionate kiss.

"I missed you so much." Buffy cried in between kisses.

Angel tried wiping her tears away with his thumbs. "Don't cry beloved." He whispered back as his own tears began to spill over.

"Stay with me forever?" She asked.

"Forever." Angel answered crushing her lips to his.
