"I wanna go shopping too mommy!" Logan whined as she pulled on her mother's pant leg. "Pwease Pwease Pwease Pwease Pwease."

"Logan that's enough!" Buffy exclaimed, getting annoyed by her daughter. "Daddy and I are going shopping alone and you're going to stay here with Cordy and Doyle."

"Pw-Pw-Pwease?" Logan asked, her lower lip trembling and her wide eyes welling with tears.

Buffy sighed. "Sweetie, don't cry." Buffy soothed lifting her daughter up and gently wiping away the tears. "I'll bring you something home. Would you like some candy?"

Logan nodded and wrapped her arms tightly around her mother's neck. "Can I go wif you too?"

"No Logan," Buffy said. "I promise I'll bring you something home if you be a good girl."

"I a good girl!"

"Alright!" Buffy said, "Now go find Aunt Cordy." She put the toddler down and then turned to her bedroom. "Angel," she called, "Are you ready?"

"Yeah" he said coming from the room and wrapping an arm around her waist.

She grabbed her purse off the table and together they made their way upstairs.

"How 'bout this?" Angel asked holding up a doll for Buffy to see.

"Kinda scary lookin'" Buffy replied taking the box from Angel. "It looks more like a monkey than a baby."

Angel laughed, "Okay then...what about 'movin, groovin Barbie'?"

"Cordelia already got her that."

"Is there anything that Cordelia didn't buy her?" Angel asked in annoyance.

Buffy thought for a moment, "Probably not!"

"What about art supplies Buffy? Like water colors and colored pencils."

"That's perfect Angel!" Buffy exclaimed, grabbing his hand and dragging him to the art aisle of the toy store.

They searched the shelves for a decent set of paints and some nice brushes. Finally deciding on the most expensive for their only daughter.

"She'll need some paper." Buffy stated. "And an painter's apron 'cause you know she'll ruin her clothes if we don't get an apron. And we should get her some pencils, crayons, markers and some coloring books too."

Angel agreed and they continued through the aisle. Finally getting all the art supplies they decided on.

"What else should we get her?" Angel asked.

"Books? I know how much she loves having you read to her."

Angel nodded. "Then I guess we should buy this stuff and head over to the book store."

They paid for their things and then clasped hands as they left the store and went out into the mall.

"What kind of books do you think she'll like?" Buffy asked.

"She likes when I read her fairytales." Angel stated.

They went into the bookstore and looked for some fairytale books.

"Into the looking glass?" Buffy asked.

"I already read her that one." Angel replied.

Buffy picked up another one. "Sleeping Beauty?"

"Sure. How 'bout Cinderella?"

"Yeah she likes the movie so she'll probably like the book. What do you think about Snow White?"

"Yeah."

They then decided to get a few modern storybooks for her so they picked up a couple Clifford books and some Bernstein Bears too.

"That should be enough, don't ya think?" Buffy asked.

"Yeah," Angel replied, "but where are we going to put all the books?"

"We could get her a bookshelf." Buffy suggested.

They paid for the books and then headed for the furniture store. Deciding on a pink bookshelf to match her bed they bought it and had the clerk hold it for them while they left to look through some other stores.

After buying some movies at the video store and a tricycle at the bike shop they returned to the furniture store to pick up their bookshelf. They then loaded their things into the back of Angel's car and started towards home.

"Dammit!" Buffy exclaimed when they were halfway home. "I forgot to get Logan her candy I promised her."

Angel pulled into a partystore parking lot and stopped the car. "What kind?" Angel asked. "I'll go in and get it."

"Anything Chocolate." She replied before kissing him quickly on the cheek as he opened the car door. He returned a few minutes later and they finally got home.

"We should invite the gang." Angel said that night as they lay in bed. "Have Giles, Xander, Willow and Oz come over for a party."

"Yeah," Buffy mumbled as she lay in Angel's arms. "I'll call them tomorrow."

"Okay." Angel said. "Sleep tight beloved."

Buffy smiled as she drifted off.

"Willow?" Buffy asked into the phone. "Do you have any plans Friday?...No....Logan's Birthday....yeah we want to have a party for her....okay...bring Oz and tell Xander to come too...yeah...well I was going to call Giles....no that's okay I'll call him....you told him?....no I'm not mad....okay....bye Will...luv you too."

"Willow's going to come." Buffy stated as she shifted in Angel's lap.

"Okay...Are you gonna sit on me the whole time you're on the phone?" Angel asked.

Buffy giggled. "Why? Do you have a problem with it?"

"No not at all." Angel chuckled as he went to nibble on her neck. She swatted him away.

"Don't do that." She said. "I have to call Giles and I don't think he'll appreciate me moaning into the phone."

"I make you moan?" Angel asked sexily wrapping his arms around her waist and nibbling on her ear.

"Angel STOP!" Buffy exclaimed. "God, now I don't even want to call Giles."

"Then don't."

"Don't be stupid." Buffy said sliding off his lap. "I have to call him. It's Logan's Birthday and it would be wrong not to invite him to the party."

"Hey I never said not to invite him. I'm the one who suggested the party in the first place."

"Whatever...Now I have one more phone call to make. Do you think you can handle yourself?"

"Maybe" Angel replied.

"Angel!" Buffy warned.

"Fine. Fine. I'm going upstairs." And with that he left her to finish her phone calls.

Friday evening...

"Hey Giles." Buffy said cheerily as she ushered him in. Once they were in the outer office she hugged him. "I missed you so much."

Giles returned the hug. "I missed you too Buffy. How have you and your daughter been?"

"Great...she's off somewhere with Xander right now but I'm sure they'll be around in a bit."

Just then there was another knock on the door. "Excuse me." Buffy said to Giles before opening the door.

"Daddy. Hey come on in!" She exclaimed.

"Giles this is my father. Dad this is Mr. Giles. He was my mentor all through highschool."

"Pleasure to meet you." Giles said.

"Likewise." Hank replied. "Where's that little princess of yours?" He asked Buffy.

"Around here somewhere." She replied. "ANGEL....Where's Logan?"

"She's down here!" Angel yelled from the apartment.

"I'll stay up here and wait for anyone else to come." Cordelia said coming into the office. "Hey Giles. Long time no see."

"Yes, you're quite right Cordelia. And how are you?"

"Great!" Cordelia replied enthusiastically.

"You coming down Giles?" Buffy asked heading into Angel's office.

"Yes." He said as he followed her and her father to the elavator.

They rode down in silence. Angel greeted them once they had reached the bottom.

"Hello Giles, Mr. Summers. How are you?"

"Fine." They both replied.

"Now where is that little birthday girl?" Hank asked.

Logan jumped out from behind the couch. "I'm wite hewe Gampa!" She exclaimed running over to him and jumping into his arms.

"Look at this pretty dress." He stated lifting his granddaughter into his arms. "Did your mommy buy you this dress?" He asked gesturing to the light pink dress she was wearing.

Logan nodded and squirmed in his arms. "I want down." She said not looking at him but at Giles who stood awkwardly by the elevator.

Hank put her down and she walked over to Giles. Looking up at him she said, "I wike you."

Startled by the voice Giles looked down at her. He chuckled when he realised what she had said. "Do you know me?"

She shook her head no then put her arms up.

Giles stood confused until Buffy came over. She lifted her daughter up and placed her in Giles arms. "Giles this is Logan."

"Yes, yes I do know that." he said holding the smiling child.

"Logan sweetie," Buffy said. "This is grandpa Giles."

"Hi!" Logan chirped.

Giles smiled at her. "It's nice to meet you Logan."

"Princess, get your fingers out o' the cake." Doyle scolded as he came in to the kitchen. "Delia aren't you supposed to be watchin' 'er?"

"I am!" Cordelia defended. "C'mon Logie let's go find Aunt Willow." She picked the girl up and carried her into the living room.

"Aunt Wiwo! Aunt Wiwo! Aunt Wiwo!" Logan called. "Help! Help! Save me fwom Tordy! Aunt Wiwo! Aunt Wiwo!"

Cordelia laughed. "Save you from me? What did I do?"

Logan squirmed in Cordelia's arms. "You twy to eat me for bweakfast!"

"Are you making up stories?"

Logan nodded and then spotted her dad sitting on the couch. "Daddy help!"

Cordelia set her down and Logan ran to her father. "She twy to eat me!"

Angel laughed and hugged his daughter close. "She tried to eat you? Why would she do that?" He asked.

"So she tan have all my pwesants!"

Angel laughed again. "Are you ready to open them?"

Logan nodded excitedly.

"Okay," Angel said. "Go find your mom."

"I'm right here." Buffy said as she and Giles came from the other side of the room. "I was just givin Giles a tour. Are we opening presents now?"

Angel nodded. "I guess so!"

Logan quickly scrambled towards the pile of presents. "Dis one first!" She exclaimed grabbing the present on top.

Her little hands moved quickly as she ripped at the paper. She squealed when she saw the stack of movies.

Buffy laughed and grabbed the card from the pile of shredded paper. Opening it up she said, "That's from Aunt Willow, sweetie. Can you say thank-you?"

"Dank-you Aunt Wiwo!" She then grabbed the next present. This time carefully plucking off the card and handing it to her mother.

"This one's from Uncle Xander." Buffy stated.

Logan then ripped it open to reveal a doll! She squealed in delight again and then grabbed the next present.

Finally when all the presents were opened Buffy and Angel cleaned up the paper mess. Afterwards everyone went into the kitchen to sing Happy Birthday and have cake and icecream.

"Did you have fun today, Logie?" Buffy asked as she tucked her daughter into bed.

Logan nodded sleepily. "Lot's a fun."

Buffy smiled. "Get some rest sweetie and tomorrow you can play with all your new toys."

She kissed her daughter on the forehead and then turned out the light. "Sweet dreams." She whispered before gently closing the door.
