wasting fic (I happen to really enjoy wasting time, lol), please,
read on.
FEEDBACK: I do have ears. and eyes. I suppose eyes would be more

RATING: Hmmm. PG-13. Sounds about right.
"How do you feel?" Angel asked, his head cocked to the side.
"Funny," Buffy answered. "My head feels oceany."
"Oceany?" Angel repeated, mouth quirking slightly at her strange choice of words.
"Yeah, like it's sloshing around behind my eyes. When I take a step," she demonstrated, "It all moves back and forth. And my legs and arms feel detached from me." She took another step closer and swayed, laughing.
"You okay?"
"I feel drunk, Angel," the slayer said, smiling. "It's strange, you know." She allowed herself to fall against him, and he caught her up in his arms.
"Then maybe no more unusual herbal teas, huh?"
"Are you saying I shouldn't take Willow's advice on roots and herbs?"
"I'm saying that next time we should check what effect a combination of Dragon root and Fire fly moss has on the human body."
"How do you feel?" she asked, her eyes half closed and her voice slippery.
"Just fine."
"You're head's not oceany?"
"Nope, no oceany."
"You're missing out, it's really quite nice." Buffy broke away from him, and spun with her arms outstretched in large circles. She laughed, and tumbled onto a chair with a sigh. Angel followed, kneeling down in front of her. "Maybe if you spun around with your eyes closed, and then tried to run?"
"Why would I do that?"
"Because you're really missing something here, Angel. This oceany thing is a big deal. I may be mistaken, because I've no experience to compare it to, but I believe this is akin to heroin." Angel chuckled at Buffy's ramblings, and sat down next to her in the chair. She immediately cuddled up to him, and leaned her head on his chest.
"I guess vampires don't get oceany," she sighed.
"I suppose not."
"Do you get drunk?"
"Personally or generally?"
"Personally, generally I know that vampires can become intoxicated. I've seen Spike be very drunk, after drinking a whole mess of stuff that could take paint off a house."
"Personally, I don't drink enough to be drunk. It costs too much and serves no purpose." Angel sighed and rubbed Buffy's neck absently.
"What about blood?" Buffy questioned, her voice dropping to a throaty whisper, lulled into almost a trance by his touch.
"What about blood?" Angel echoed.
"Does that make you drunk, or is it more like the sleepy feeling you get after thanksgiving?" He laughed, and hugged her closer.
"Uh, it depends."
"On what?" she giggled. Angel rolled his eyes in good humor, and continued.
"On the person, I suppose. On the blood."
"Oh. So, some blood tastes better than other blood." Angel nodded. "In your experience, what's the better tasting blood?"
"I'm not having this conversation with you!" he exclaimed, shaking his head.
"Why not?"
"Because- because it's morbid, and not something you need to know."
"Sour puss," she groused, crossing her arms over her chest. "You're not feeling this?" Buffy asked after a moment.
"What?"
"This. this lightness, this buzzing.?"
"No." he whispered, and kissed the skin behind her ear. She purred, and he relented. "Well, maybe just a little." Buffy chuckled, low in her throat.
"Hey Angel, wanna get drunk?" He felt his cool skin warm as her heat infused him. Buffy turned in his arms, until she sat practically on top of him with her arms around his neck. Her soft, angora sweater tickled his cheek.
"Buffy." It was mostly a no.
"Would you? If you did get a little taste?" she flirted, and teasingly tugged down her neckline. Angel's eyes widened and his mouth dropped open slightly, dry.
"Its possible," was all he said. She smiled, and dragged him to his feet. Buffy's bare feet padded softly on the hard wood flooring, and her long skirt slipped about her legs silently. She hugged him tightly, and Angel rested his chin on the crown of her head. "Mmm, Buffy." he mumbled, and they swayed to the soft music floating in the room.
"You need to feel this," she whispered. "Its in my blood, Angel." She tugged her sweater over her head and dropped it. Goosebumps raised on her arms, chilled in just an ivory camisole and matching skirt. Buffy pressed herself against Angel again, and heard him mutter a curse under his breath. She laughed. "Have a sip," she smiled up at him, and threw her weight first to one side, then the other. They rocked and Buffy laughed wildly, her head spinning.
She nearly lost her balance, but Angel caught her and held her steady. Buffy closed her eyes and gasped, and buried her smile in Angel's chest. Her feet dissolved beneath her, and he brought her back to their chair.
"How do you feel?" he asked her, suppressing a grin.
"Wonderful," she sighed, leaning back in the chair as he kneeled before her. She slipped down the soft upholstery and pooled in his lap. "Do you mind if I lean on you?" she whispered, her eyes closed. Angel gathered her up, and she breathed quietly. "Try it," she insisted, eyes falling open sleepily. He sighed.
"You've talked me into it," Angel smiled, and kissed her lips. She kissed him back, and felt like she was moving through water. He touched his mouth to her neck and she felt the faintest pressure and then just his cool mouth on her skin.
"This is strange," she said, before slipping into sleep. Angel watched her with a small smile in his eyes, and gently rubbed the tiny marks his blunt, harmless teeth had made on her skin. They were pink, and faded quickly.
"I'll say," Angel said, and picked her up. He stood with her in his arms, and found himself a little wobbly. "Maybe that tea had more of an effect than I thought," he laughed to himself, and carried her to their room.
